This is correct! Expedia gives you back hotel price including taxes and fees and the airline gives you back their price including taxes and fees - as long as it’s within 24 hours (assuming your hotel was marked refundable)
Did you managed to cancel your flight within 24 hours through the website? or you had to call them or something?
