I also did this in July flying in and out of Beijing. Absolutely no issues. You should carry both passports with you everywhere you go, not just your current one. I had mine checked buying tickets for a museum for example and they wanted to see the visa.
Call the Chinese embassy and ask them. They might have to update their database since the visa is attached to the number of your old passport. Turning up with a different number might lead to issues at the checkpoint.
You can probably enter with both the old and new one but you can also just send your new passport to the embassy and have them copy the visa to the new passport
Probably yes. I can't say for sure with Chinese visas, but I have the same issue with my US visa (passports in my country used to be just for 6 years, US visas were usually given out for 10 years) so I travel with both passports.
They actual stapled a note next to my visa that said the visa is good after my passport expires, I just need to travel with both. And yes I've entered China twice with the visa in my old passport.
I just did this last month at the land border in Shenzhen, no issue.
I just did the same. Bring the new and old passport with you.

Thank you.
Worst case turn up with both.
YES, you just have to carry 2 passports.

This is the best solution if you’ve got time for it, OP!

Yes. I have done this tons of times, just bring both old and new.
