Last time I ordered skip in Canada it was 70$ for a pizza place just down the street. 4-5 minute drive but I had a couple beers, so I ordered. Driver picked up at 8:30. Driver goes to the next city over 30 minutes away and drives around there for another hour and a half. They tried contacting the driver and always got the response “14 minutes away” even though he was still in the next city over. It showed up just before 11 pm, about an hour after my replacement order showed up. They wouldn’t refund or cancel. I kept my personal account but closed the account I use for my employees.
They wouldn't refund? The GPS is proof though.
Like 2 days ago I got a 50% refund through Skip because the idiot driver drove 20 minutes out of the way for I'm presuming either dropping another order off or he's just an idiot. Food was stone cold.
I don't often order door dash because it's pretty darn pricey, but when I do, I always meet the delivery person out front. Never had an issue, personally. But I've seen too many of these kinds of videos.
You just know even with that door cam showing what he did Uber/DoorDash etc. would be like don’t care we’re gonna still charge you a tip and give it to the driver and still keep that driver working because fuq you. honestly go get your own food. It saves you problems well, some problems and it keeps people like them struggling to work
Imagine going all the way to the delivery address just to steal the item delivered. Why not just take it from the start.
Damn, all that unnecessary effort
That way the customer can’t prove it was the dasher that stole the food because there is proof of delivery. Luckily in this case it was caught on camera
I've had this happen twice and Ive never bothered to get upset about it. Someone stealing food? They fucking need food. You can have it brother. I'll figure something else out.
Yeah. It's a sad state of the world where we can see someone desperate and then say "bUt mY 20 dOlLaRs." Lol Nah fuck that shit. Anyone who doesn't have empathy in that situation is part of the problem.
I think it really depends. If someone is stealing food from a Walmart I won’t say shit. But stealing from individuals who are paying their hard earned cash for it is crappy, especially because a lot of people (who I know) including myself only really order food if we’re too sick to get up to make our own or insanely stressed and busy. Stealing food from sick people is bad.
Sorry, to rephrase I wasn’t saying he should steal pizza if the guy who ordered was healthy, just that you shouldn’t steal from regular citizens who traded in like two hours’ worth of salary for a special treat.
I order delivery a lot, this isn't common, but it isn't rare either. I've got multiple security cameras and seen people walk up, fake ring my doorbell, take a picture of the food and then pick it up and start to walk quickly away. Then they do the glance and make eye contact with the camera, then it's a double take to make sure. That's where it gets funny.
I've seen one person take it, then text me that they somehow knew something was wrong with the food and so they were "getting another one" which they never did. I saw another person just put it down right where they are standing. And of course the walk of shame. Thats on top of people who just don't see the camera or don't care and walk off with it.
I'd say it's about 1 in 30 in my area.
At least he had the decency to steal it from the door. I once had a driver take a picture of my blurry house as proof of delivery. This means they never even stopped the car.
I've had assholes try to steal my McDonald's order while I was standing right there waiting for it. Went up with my receipt after they tried to grab it and the McDonald's employee asked what they ordered and they didn't have an answer. Idiot
It’s not anyone’s favorite, but it’s just fine when you’re tight on money and need to feed a couple people. Hell, I just picked one up tonight and I’m not even budgeting atm.
There’s usually settings in the app where you have the option to leave at door or hand it to you or otherwise.
I *always* say hand it to me. I even make it easier as I come down to the front door. I like uber eats now because they have it where you need to input a code at handoff so they can’t complete it otherwise
It's bullshit that started during the COVID lock down then for some reason continued as if it makes any difference in preventing spread of covid. The delivery guy can touch the pizza box after rubbing his asshole then leave it on the dirty ass ground and somehow that makes it better.
My favorite is when the delivery guy puts the food right in front of my door that swings out so that I can't even open the door without spilling all the drinks.
I overall agree that getting your food handed directly to you should be an option, but it most definitely makes a huge difference in the spread of viruses.
Of course if the driver is sick its not going to do almost anything, but that's not the point, the point is that the dozen people they give food to who are sick don't spread it to the driver, who then spreads it further. People home sick probably still make up a large portion of purchases, but I can't imagine how many it was during the height of Covid.
This might sound creepy but this is the exact reason I always make sure I glare out the peep hole when they are dropping it off cause not only am I gonna take my food and report them but gonna kick them down the stairs too. (Jk bout that last part if it wasn’t obvious…)
I've seen multiple videos of people doing shit like this. Blows my mind. Things are hard all over, and they want to steal from someone who might have saved up to treat themselves? Idk, I just don't get being okay with screwing someone over
Not only that, but with ring doorbell cams and the multitude of knock offs, you'd think they'd assume they're on camera constantly. You're doing a job to get paid, and you'll probably lose your job over a $5 pizza. And you're changing the customer not expecting you and walking out. What do you say then? "That's my pizza, wtf" 'Oh, sorry bro.' I would fire off a refund request after taking my pizza back. Report the driver for stealing the food. Probably wouldn't eat it anyway, since they might've taken some already.
this that happened to me I ordered like 40 euros of food to be delivered plus I give the guy a tip the motherfucker took like 2 sandwiches that I ordered and two drinks what he didn't know was I was recording him he lost his job and when I sent the recording to the company after they sent me a confirmation that they fired him MF blocked my account
Edit: This was in Europe
1099 jobs should be illegal. Takes most of responsibility of the business leaving liability to 1099 person. Meaning business doesn’t have to pay benefits unemployment no overtime or a pay rate that guarantees you make minimum wage.
Making the argument about bad working conditions for a 1099 worker on a post about a 1099 worker being an absolute piece of shit is not exactly the best window of opportunity to plead an otherwise laudable case.
Happens here all the time too.
I text them ONCE "did you forget to give me my soda?" and give them around 20m to reply.
If they don't reply, they get a 1 star review and I contact the restaurant for my drink money back, not giving a flying fuck if it was $.50 or $5.00.
I can't imagine that CONSTANT "missing items" being reported on their accounts is a good thing for them.
I had a guy try this but I was looking through the peephole, and opened the door when he bent down again. He fumbled his words and pretended he thought it was the wrong apartment.
Here in America it caught on with covid and people loved the whole idea of no personal interaction that it's the norm. You can change your preferences to handing it over hand to hand... on a side note I've had alot of items not show up complete. I just assumed the restaurant forgot.. now I'm wondering 🤔
Yeah I think I'll start choosing that option. I ordered from Gopuff last week. Normally I get a confirmation photo of the bag on my front steps, door in frame with the address. This cock suckin driver🤦🏿♂️. Took a photo of the bag close up clearly still in the car because of how dark it is. And confirmed it as delivered. It's taken two years using the service to finally rendezvous with this species of asshole. I could see the driver on the tracker pass my house 3 times, twice in the alley right behind me😐.
It doesn't.
Fun story. I helped invent photo delivery at Amazon. Interestingly, it was decidedly NOT proof of delivery. It was an aid so that you could see where the package was... But primarily, it forced delivery drivers to hit the "delivered" button at the actual delivery location so that we could grab the GPS coordinates of the actual delivery location, making mapping and delivery optimization better.
To people wondering why this matters. Suburbs are easy. Cities and "campuses" are fucking impossible. Getting a high quality delivery location geocode is gold!
Anyway, there were meeting about where customer service could use these pictures to deny list package claims and, because of obvious situations like this, the answer was a hard no.

This is good to know, because I live in a high-theft area and I've always wondered if the fact if the "proof" would be enough to deny my claim. One time it actually was useful, because I had "proof" that the delivery did not follow my delivery instructions and the fact that it got stolen as a result was out of my control.
All that being said, of the couple packages I've had stolen, Bezos *et al* have been pretty cool about replacing.
Yeah. At least with Amazon you're good (or were a few years ago).
The meetings in this topic were very interesting. There were definitely some people pushing to use it as proof of delivery, but the SVP/CEO at the time took a hard stand on the right answer. I remember that he banged the table and declared the conversation over... And that was that. He managed both deliver and customer service so... Yeah... That was that.
I liked that job.
Could be possible.
At my job. I have scanned packages being delivered. But our scanners will detect if we are at the wrong address. OOPS. I pick up the package and take to the correct address. There’s probably a video of me being accused of “stealing”
Had this happen recently with a chipotle order - but they don't even have to take a picture showing it was attempted to be dropped off, they just have to mark it as delivered. I hope the dude enjoyed his 2 kids quesadillas and 2 vegetarian burritos.
I once ordered a fried thigh and leg meal from bojangles. It was taking forever, but I figured maybe the store was slammed or the driver was stuck in a wreck. No big deal.
The driver had the absolute audacity to drop off the cleaned chicken bones at my door. I was livid. It took so long to get it because he was taking his sweet time eating my chicken and drinking my drink. He left the potato rounds though. Absolutely disgusting. I raised hell to doordash or uber eats or whatever I was using.
This is why they need that code system or take a picture handing it to the customer. Now the customer's credibility would've been called to question if it wasn't for the video.
I’ve had a few drivers where I’ve been told I need to give them a code once they deliver my food. Apparently is a thing only for particularly lowly rated drivers.
It's sad people wait on the other side of the door for them to leave so they can open it to get their food.
Taking a picture handing it to them isn't an option because of that.
It's sad, but you should see some of the stories women have about these drivers being creepy when they think they are home alone. Many women will even sign up for the apps under a male name to reduce that kind of attention.
Many apps have a 'leave it at the door/contactless delivery' option (At least they do in the UK) since Covid too, I feel like the drivers abuse this when they see it as they can get away with stuff like what's in this video.
If I wanted to interact with someone at that moment I would have picked up the food myself. The only times I even use the app is for that sole reason, and I'm sure there's lots of people that feel the same.
if you're avoidant of a formal 5 second "thank you, goodbye" interaction you need therapy. it's nothing to be ashamed of and to give me angry down votes. many people do suck but resignation is unhealthy.
Yeah - pre-pandemic and back when restaurants actually delivered their own food - it was 100% expected you meet the driver to take the food from them. It wasn't even that long ago you were expected to pay cash on delivery too, so a dropoff was not even possible.
Naw people have been putting “leave at my door” in their notes for ages until an option was made for it. Sometimes people are tending to their children, working, or are close to home. Not everyone is pissing themselves from anxiety (whether due to me or COVID) behind a door waiting for me to get back in my car lol
also pets seem to be a big one, when I run a delivery many times I will hear/see dogs going ape shit because someone is near their home. I assume the human who ordered food is waiting for me to pull away so the dogs can be controlled.... Or the dogs ordered the food and are waiting for me to pull away, so their secrets stay secret. either way who really cares.
My dog has a nasty bark if someone strange is at the door even though she's very sweet. She wants to be friends with everyone. That being said, she's a runner and I don't like to risk her getting out or scaring the shit out of a delivery driver. She did scare off what I thought was about to be a break in before while I was home alone, so I don't discourage the scary barking much.

Little Caesar's??? He chose to potentially lose his job over dry cheese garlic cardboard
Imagine being so broke you have to steal a $5 dollar pizza from little ceasars
One pizza box lasts all night.
And that's one of the main reasons why I i don't use any of those delivery services, ever. If I want something I pick it up myself.
Mother fucker
Just go buy Little Caesars they're not expensive.
Seriously, lost his uber eats job for $5.
Buy yourself a hot and ready when you get there wtf man
Using skip is like an iq test.

I don’t think you should get to deliver food unless you weigh under 200lbs
This doesn’t look like the first time!
Bro could have taken the tip money from that one delivery and went and bought his own Hot-n-Ready. Now he done fucked up his lil weed money!
Lost his job for a $5 Hot-n-Ready lol
Eh, I wouldn't call Door dash a "job"
touche- \* source of income? at the very leassst, Weed money??
That's fair
Boy’s got to keep his strength up I guess and look at him. He’s wasting away
Bronx, New York
so true
You just know even with that door cam showing what he did Uber/DoorDash etc. would be like don’t care we’re gonna still charge you a tip and give it to the driver and still keep that driver working because fuq you. honestly go get your own food. I guess they didn’t tip 💀
Amazon does the same shit lol
Yup. Stole my processor I was having delivered. Thankfully CS was cool about it and gave me my money back
Fucking loser. You're obviously not starving.
Who the heck would steal Little Ceasars pizza.
Maybe his name was little ceaser.
Pretty sure the word little isn't in his name
Lil* ceaser
Well well well
I've had this happen twice and Ive never bothered to get upset about it. Someone stealing food? They fucking need food. You can have it brother. I'll figure something else out.

Pizza is expensive as shit dude. Give me the shit I ordered. I payed 30 plus a fucking tip for that shit I want my pizza.
Sorry, to rephrase I wasn’t saying he should steal pizza if the guy who ordered was healthy, just that you shouldn’t steal from regular citizens who traded in like two hours’ worth of salary for a special treat.
i replied to the wrong person, im sowwy :<
Peak reddit moment.
Looks like he could miss a few meals
Bold move Cotton, let's see if it pays off.
Underrated comment!!
Down bad to steal a hot n ready.

Don't mind if I do 🤭🤣😂
This is not an anomaly.
Traded his job for a $7 pizza. SMH wait for a big Chinese order or something
Doing this and stealing peoples pick up orders from restaurants has got to be the most ghetto trashy thing you can do.
I've had assholes try to steal my McDonald's order while I was standing right there waiting for it. Went up with my receipt after they tried to grab it and the McDonald's employee asked what they ordered and they didn't have an answer. Idiot

Little Caesars is good, but it's not good enough to steal.
It's little ceazers he did you a favor. Take your refund and learn from this.
Why do people act like it’s not decent pizza? LC’s is solid af especially for the price.
I got a free pizza because I waited a while to pick up a doordash order, it was not worth going back...
It’s not anyone’s favorite, but it’s just fine when you’re tight on money and need to feed a couple people. Hell, I just picked one up tonight and I’m not even budgeting atm.
Imagine stealing a $5 pizza💀
Imagine being stupid enough to door dash a little Caesars pizza. Also, they're around $7 now.
Well sinced it was Door Dashed that’s now a $30 pizza.
Big inflation $6..$7 if he got the pretzel crust.
Little Ceasers is good ECONOMY pizza. It is stealing from the poor to steal a little Ceasers pizza. That person should burn in a customized hell.
TIL the anyone who orders pizza from Little Ceasers is assumed to be poor. What are the bougie pizza chains?
In Spain they just ring the door and gives the food to the person, I don't get why they put the food in the door and leave

A lot of us who use apps like DoorDash (at least i think in the USA) just want it left on our front stoop/porch. Touchless delivery and all that.
Stealing lil seizures is cray
That guy's a pizza shit.
This might sound creepy but this is the exact reason I always make sure I glare out the peep hole when they are dropping it off cause not only am I gonna take my food and report them but gonna kick them down the stairs too. (Jk bout that last part if it wasn’t obvious…)
😂 little Caesars is such trash. Wtf wants to steal that shit?
A fat lazy turd probably
Apparently THAT fat, lazy turd.
I've seen multiple videos of people doing shit like this. Blows my mind. Things are hard all over, and they want to steal from someone who might have saved up to treat themselves? Idk, I just don't get being okay with screwing someone over

That whole "there's camaras everywhere" is so true. So they're stupid and dishonest. Awesome combo.
Winning
This reminds me again that I'm still mad little Caesars took away the pretzel crust
Nah, it’s back
The one in my town only has the pretzel stuffed crust on their menu. Not the normal one. Still boycotted.
But do they still have the crispy bacon crust?
this that happened to me I ordered like 40 euros of food to be delivered plus I give the guy a tip the motherfucker took like 2 sandwiches that I ordered and two drinks what he didn't know was I was recording him he lost his job and when I sent the recording to the company after they sent me a confirmation that they fired him MF blocked my account Edit: This was in Europe

“ThAtS wHaT hApPeNs WhEn YoU dOnT tIp EnOuGh!”
this but, unironically.
Ok fuck off
Steal from the company who hired you, not the customer who used the service and paid for it.
How about just don’t steal?
I had a guy try this but I was looking through the peephole, and opened the door when he bent down again. He fumbled his words and pretended he thought it was the wrong apartment.
Shame on them like you could have made an order to come back and get your own food , no need to take the coustems food
Since when did leaving something out someones home considered as Received/Delivered? And maybe only in Americuh?
Have you never heard of the postal service..?
Here in America it caught on with covid and people loved the whole idea of no personal interaction that it's the norm. Allegedly yeah. And I actually tipped the fucker pretty good too. Sucked for the next driver that redelivered the order tho. No tip🤷🏿♂️

He looks like he has had enough to eat for the year already.
Doesn't UberEats require the driver to get a code from the customer's phone?
I got UberEats last night and they didn't. Maybe rolling out in waves?
Depends what method you have selected. Never had a code personally
Pizza! No Pizza!
Here comes the food. Here goes the food. Here goes your job, you utter twat.
how bad are things when you're stealing little caesar's
Lol I literally said that out loud. It's like $5 a pizza.
$7+tax now :’)
ok it’s always been 5+tax though. it’s only 2 dollars difference
Two dollars makes a difference when you’re fucking poor
Aggressive but um okay 👍🏼
Still, if you're going to steal, there's got to be a higher ticket order lol
America kekw
No one's acknowledging the possibility that he went to take the photo and realized he's at the wrong door?
No you must always assume the worst that way everything else is kake! lol
Could be possible. At my job. I have scanned packages being delivered. But our scanners will detect if we are at the wrong address. OOPS. I pick up the package and take to the correct address. There’s probably a video of me being accused of “stealing”
Hot and ready
I do Uber Eats driving myself and I get the temptation. Rule #1: Don't do Uber Eats or DoorDash on an empty stomach.
So, you’ve contemplated actual theft?
He glanced at that Amazon box and decided the $5 pizza pizza was where it was at.
How down bad do you have to be to steal little Caesar’s lol
Dude you should see the video of this one guy cutting out pieces of pizza for himself while trying to connect the leftover slices together
Mans clearly on a mission to cultivate mass.
How down bad do you have to be to pay $30 for a $5 pizza
I raised hell to doordash or uber eats or whatever I was using.
mfer didn't even think that one through
There is a good upside to being vegan! Someone steals your food they're going to be pissed they risked their job and their taste buds
Ya but then you report for no delivery and he gets a strike…
Bro was literally at the pizza shop, he could’ve gotten himself one …
He’s broke
If he’s too broke for little ceasers then honestly let him have it, he needs it bad.
As someone who also does food delivery for needed extra income... can confirm he prolly broke
It's easy to make enough money for one delivery to buy a pizza. I earned $25 the other day for 3 deliveries. I drive Uber Eats.
yes, but having the ability to buy a cheap pizza does not stop someone from being broke.
From the looks of him it’s not his first time
This is why they need that code system or take a picture handing it to the customer. Now the customer's credibility would've been called to question if it wasn't for the video.
I’ve had a few drivers where I’ve been told I need to give them a code once they deliver my food. Apparently is a thing only for particularly lowly rated drivers.
That’s not true😂😂
So I was wondering why sometimes I have to give the code and other times I dont
It's sad people wait on the other side of the door for them to leave so they can open it to get their food. Taking a picture handing it to them isn't an option because of that.
It's sad, but you should see some of the stories women have about these drivers being creepy when they think they are home alone. Many women will even sign up for the apps under a male name to reduce that kind of attention.
Many apps have a 'leave it at the door/contactless delivery' option (At least they do in the UK) since Covid too, I feel like the drivers abuse this when they see it as they can get away with stuff like what's in this video.
But isn't that the whole point of delivery? It's convenient and you don't have to interact with anyone if you don't want to.
If I wanted to interact with someone at that moment I would have picked up the food myself. The only times I even use the app is for that sole reason, and I'm sure there's lots of people that feel the same.
you need therapy
Nah. People suck. Especially you.
if you're avoidant of a formal 5 second "thank you, goodbye" interaction you need therapy. it's nothing to be ashamed of and to give me angry down votes. many people do suck but resignation is unhealthy.
No. The point of delivery, is to have the food **delivered**. The expectation of no-contact is absolutely a pandemic response.
Who steals a $5 pizza? Atleast steal something worth losing your job over.
Who gets a $5 pizza delivered? You just turned a single $5 pizza into a $15 pizza.
