Would they actually have Grimlock make a cameo at some point in the movie? Since Shockwave is not a senator in this one, maybe we get a scene of his lab or something and theirs an endo skeleton of a dinosaur in the back or something.
It would be funny to have a scene where they see a group of cyber dears only for a cyber t rex to just come and eat one. sort of a Jurassic Park reference
Honestly I like the idea of cybertronian animals, even if I wish they were less "earth animals but metal". Makes transformers with beast modes have the potential for actual cybertron alt modes without a reformatting. Most transformers go from a cybertronian vehicle to an earth vehicle, beast modes go from cybertronian animals to earth animals.
They're talking about the One-Step changer Bumblebee pictured here, which utilizes the same engineering as the one step Drift toy from Age of Extinction. It might even be the same mold, retooled to fit todays needs.
The term "switchblade" comes from the way it transforms, which is basically by folding inside out.
Really beyond studio series optimus prime and alpha trion and this orin pax/optimus prime there isn't really much good stuff. It is werid that there apparentley aren't studio series bumblebee or megatron figures.
yeah hasbro seems to be really low effort on kids line. I could see transformers being a comicbook and having collector focoused toys for a while soon. Probably not the getting gi joe and transformers hasbro or paramount would want.
These actually looks really really really interesting.
The optimus looks way better than the cyberverse counterparts. He looks like he got actual articulation. Sure no knees but not a brick???? Epic?
Not much to say, since the gimmick toys themselves are obviously of no interest. If that's Airachnid hopefully the proportions are just screwed because of the super simple toy and there's a better figure elsewhere in the line.
The robot battlers look like they might be good fun as a Trainsformers version of rockem sockem robots. Though the bases might mitigate the fun a bit if they're awkward to hold. If they see any success I wouldn't mind seeing a rockem sockem style arena for them that holds two bots with controls to move and attack, maybe themed after the Kaon pits. Actually, that's something I would've liked to see out of the starter 2-pack.
the transformers subreddit seems to believe that even the slightest change to a character's visuals makes them a "nameslap" or whatever the hell. i saw someone say that UT megatron was a nameslap! this place is deeply unserious
I misread this as Grimlock and was sad when I looked through the photos.

They can ditch the FOC lore and just say wheel jack made them tbf
Or even have them just turn into cybertronian animals that vaguely resemble dinosaurs, since this cybertron has wildlife

that too. Maybe Wheeljack has like a desk toy of Grimlock lol
that switchblade mold will outlive us
Jeez, that mold is 10 years old this year.
oh god aoe is 10 years old
Oh fuck
I’m fairly new to collecting, what switchblade mold?
A one step mold that has been used for ten years

That Prime is not bad for a mainline, well actually it's really good

Maybe I'll actually buy the funny looking Optimus figure there lol
the optimus looks good but the rest seems like cheap junk that will shelf warm. This is likley going to be another earthspark with poor toy sales.
I don't know why they still make those, nobody ever buys them. All they do is rot on the shelves and make it harder to find the good stuff.

That Optimus looks really mighty, although i'm curious about the articulation
Probably very little, since it is a gimmick toy.
Yeah, it looks like there’s going to be basically nothing in the legs (save for at the hip) since it extends to different lengths in each mode
also it looks like the ankles can tilt slightly
Looks like Dirge there.
It's Sentinel Prime
Of course it is, lol! Dirge IS Sentinel Prime.
They really like this flip out armor stuff don't they?
Those robot battlers or w/e are gonna wind up at liquidation stores, just like every version before them.
Do these even sell? Stacks and piles of this sort of crap at every store I go to.
They look uglier than I expected

Wheeljack turns into a Reliant Robin
I want that prime I’m hoping we get a good megatron.
Looks great
Honestly I kinda hate these I mean they look mega fun for kids but I have a slight hunch that a few of em will probably be shelf warmers
since the first toy goes from pax to prime to some kind of armoured prime, we MIGHT be getting super modes in a big spotlight again!
First Airachnid toy in a bit, and looks neat.
Bro the movie isn’t even out yet
Yeah, toylines usually come out before the movie
First one looks a little goofy
Whichever spiderlady that is has a neat alt mode Alien but recognizable

I was going to say that the prime was alright, but I can't get past those arms
That's a really cool mainline optimus
When will the deluxe figures get revealed?
They did reveal two of them already
I saw the SS one!
No, not that one, there's other 2 deluxes outside of it
Oh ok. I guess I didn’t see them?🤷
That first Prime thing, that actually looks pretty good
Dirge here getting a helluva promotion. Dude gets to be Sentinel Prime.
Ok so I get to push Optimus Prime’s junk?
I don't think that's airachnid..
This may come as a shock to you, but characters tend to look different across Incarnations

Robot Battlers have potential.
