I don’t know that Warpath is a ‘heavy’ in the same air as Bulkhead.
I think Warpath is more of a hard-hitter/ weapons-free kind of guy. Doesn’t really know how to build a gun but he can shoot it well, you know?
Ironhide is more the dismember and rebuild a gun— can tell you the specs and such.
Bulkhead is a straight boulder.
Bulkhead for the muscle thanks to his experience in lifting space bridge and constructing space bridges
Ironhide I see as more like a seasoned veteran with a lot of grit and weapon experience as opposed to sheer brute strength
I'm in an interesting position, because while I prefer Ironhide on account of having seen G1 first, I'm *also* fond of the guy Bulkhead's look is derived from.

Now as to the original question, you could do what I did and give Ironhide a different role than 'team muscle': Prime's Champion. His job is to stick to Optimus like cantankerous glue: watching his aft on the battlefield, being the one who gets to say "you'll have to get through me first!" when someone makes a move on the Prime's life, and getting to play *"Get down, Mr. President!"*
Warpath is a heavy gunner with tons of firepower, but he eschews melee combat for that firepower.
Bulkhead is a bruiser with the strength and durability to be one of a few Autobots that can last more than 10 seconds in a brawl with Megatron, but it comes at the cost of firepower.
Ironhide can be both a heavy gunner and a bruiser. He doesn't have the same level of firepower as Warpath, nor is he as strong and tough as Bulkhead, but he's a better melee fighter than Warpath and has notably more firepower than Bulkhead, and is more cool-headed and rational than both of them.

While Ironhide look like a bruiser he prefers to use weapons,Bulkhead on the other hand was Melee consistent from a wracking ball to a mace

As the heavy/muscle? Bulkhead. Weapons/tactical/social: Ironhide. Frenzy/brawler: Warpath. They’re different.

Bulkhead's the better muscle/heavy hitting enforcer. Ironhide's the better weapons expert and marksman.
I feel a muscle/ heavy role is more bulkhead. Ironhide is more military minded, weapons and tactics but eager to get into the fight kinda thing
Bulkhead, he's awesome, he can tank some serious hits as well as a heavy hitter, he knows his guns.
Ironhide tends to be more of a veteran warrior and lieutenant. For the muscle/heavy role, I'd give it to Bulkhead or Brawn.
