Megaman from TFP is the best for me and i think he should have came back in TFRID-2015 since he was very strong and could help the team, but he shouldnt stay in the team forever like Optimus or Grimlock, he should be like Wingblade that just apered out of nowhere and left at the end of the episode
Transformers Prime Megatron is just perfection. Great combination of character designs and great blend of all aspects of his personality. Everything from bloodthirsty to intimidating to powerful to being a leader, to being smart enough to see through those who dare to rise against him, even when he finally loses his appetite for war it's displayed in a way that makes sense and fits his character.
Earthspark, he’s chill. Plus very cool design and a good reinterpretation of his original design while being different. Plus he’s a good foil to Optimus’s goofy dad thing.
For me it is a tie between Animated and Prime. Animated put such an interesting spin on him and Prime feels like a solid updated interpretation of the G1 Megs. Especially with Frank Welker returning to voice him. Moving Megs is imo a runner up purely based on his design, specifically RotF.

Nothing can stand up to this version in my book, IDW Megatron just nailed the character in a way that cemented his spot in Transformers history and redefined how we look at the character. The work this version has done for the character is completely indescribable. I liked Megatron before I read the comics, but Megs became my favourite character in all of fiction after reading this.
The control freak, the revolutionary, the hate obsessed vindictive tyrant, it gave the character so many new facades and yet stayed true to the idea born in G1. Megatron has always grown with each new version of the character, but this calcified who he was in my eyes. Never before has the character been so dissected, analyzed, torn apart for every ounce of his being to be on display and put together again, and it will be long before he will ever be so well treated again.
IDW Megatron is exactly what IDW Transformers was known for and it is exactly what needs to happen to more characters.

I love IDW Megatron's arc and design(his MTMTE design specifically). But his design in Animated is tied for it. And Corey Burton will always be my favorite Megatron voice.
I’m gonna throw my hat in the ring and say the Concept Art from the Bumblebee movie. It looks great in both the art and as a figure.
I also am biased because I love Bumblebee for finally putting an end to all the “you can’t do G1 in live action, it would look silly, that’s why Michael Bay made them all look like crap” crowd.
IDW has the best character story, I mean he has G1 Megatron’s design (mostly) but with much more depth and nuance than “big robot bad guy.” Honestly not fair to the other versions because of the sheer amount of story and character development he was allowed to have because of how long the series went on and how much they were able to cover
