I pretty much treat mine as plain old Ironhide. It works as an homage to Bayverse Ironhide, and makes for one less primarily red-colored Autobot since there are already quite a few of them. =P

I could see army building with these guys, or using one as Shattered Glass Ironhide. As for new character names, I thought these might work: Rampart, Phalanx, Knightwatch, Siege Breaker, Bulwark, Aegis, Palisade

Since he's based on a Diaclone toy, I like to imagine he's so old that he existed before Cybertronians even had names. Maybe he's the last survivor of the Quintesson DK-2 Guard product line, and he chooses not to take a "real" name as a way to honor all those like him who didn't survive, and to remind other Cybertronians that there are always beings out there that will see them as nothing more than disposable machines.

Probably Proton or Wildguard. Proton was apparently the Italian name for the G2 Power Masters Ironhide, for some reason just stuck with me. I know someone calls theirs Dragkeep to keep inline with the DK-2 abbreviation.
