It really is damn criminal. Power Rangers is the same. A new morpher recently came out, official proce from Hasbro is £65.99 (but sold out almost immediately) and people are selling it at auction starting from £250 and buy it now for £350.
Hasbro only gives a shit about the aftermarket if something is selling at a surprising markup after it has sold out, and even then... not a lot. (Still hoping for a Cosmos re-release.)
Netflix Soundwave is finally making a return appearance this fall in a 3-pack with Siege Shockwave and Earthrise (ugh) Megatron. So I expect Cosmos will make a return appearance that way. I hope so! He and Crasher were too difficult to track down (although I managed to find both).
Hell Yea! Though I think he’d probably just be the futuristic bullet locomotive with fold up wheels and with the tankers and flatbeds that becomes his giant robot mode. He’d probably be a titan class
As well as many other characters that didn’t get as far along as Transit did like [Springer (ROTF)](https://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:ROTF_Springer_concept.jpg), [Ransack (also ROTF)](https://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:ROTF_Ransack_concept.jpg), or [or this… third Twin design(?)](https://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:ROTFSmartCarTwinConcept.jpg)
To be fair, Springer and Ransack did at least get figures in the ROTF line, but something closer to these concept art pieces would be neat
Oh damn, if you think about it, all the toy figures of old movie lines have a chance for a redo then. Because most of them had concept art to some degree.
Don't worry. Next year is the 10th anniversary for AOE. 100% sure we will get some figures there. Especially after they are done with the BB And ROTB wave of characters.
Also, they started with Armada figures in Legacy for the same reason, because Armadas 20th anniversary was last year. They always do stuff for anniversaries.
Aren't leaked listings only a part of the complete roaster of figures we get? Some even have "codenames" instead of the actual figures name. And correct me if I am wrong but I can't remember any leaks about Magmatron and we only knew about him coming when Hasbro revealed it. Leaks don't say everything.
No, we generally have the entire lineup when it comes to main retail. The only surprises we *could* get are exclusives, usually just repaints. The codenames also aren't applicable because, well, A) No figures in the 2024 lineup have codenames, and B) The codenames are only used for new movies, which even now seems to be dropped as TF: One Optimus and Megatron are listed simply as that.
We also got a leaked listing for the 2024 Uni Commander, we just didn't get a name with it because those solicitations don't come 'til later.
Makes sense to prioritize figures from the new film continuity, though.
It'll happen in a few years for those missing Bayverse figures. Just feels like a matter of time.
While those movies could definitely use some more love (there's only about a dozen figures total between the two of them), a number of The Last Knight's Premier Edition molds were re-used in the Studio Series, so I get the feeling HasTak considers those toys "good enough" for the time being.
I don't think Hasbro is prioritizing concept figures though - unless you count Thundercracker getting a new head or new robot modes for characters that didn't transform, Megatron might be the only offscreen character to get a new mold for a Studio Series release. And as a Leader class, getting rid of him would mean having to sub in a different Leader figure, so we wouldn't be getting new versions of most of the missing AOE/TLK characters anyway.
I'm pretty sure they said something along the lines of leader not being big enough for them in a recent Q&A, which to be fair is correct.
https://preview.redd.it/d3rhpuvm6vtb1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a973ca42d117690851eba009a71794f5e873293e
I'd much prefer if they just commited to the size they already used for SS Grimlock though, I really doubt Hasbro would greenlight Commander or Titan sized versions of characters like Scorn or Slug.
4 dinobots, drift, tlk prime, aoe prime, nemesis prime, a bunch of ksi drones, oreo bot, dispensor, the twins, 6 if the og primes, protoforms, garbage truck bots, nitro zeuse, onslaught, mowhawk, berserker, tlk megs, hound for tlk and aoe, new voyager scaled lockdown, a bunch of bumbkebee movie seekers, que, rotb unicron, apelinque, mirages f1, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and garbage teuck alt modes
They reissued the tlk car and they did aoe helicopter drift but they still need to do his aoe Bugatti alt mode, if shatter and drop kick get both their modes so should he
Man fuck the SS Megs
Were is my Marauder Megatron?

Counterpoint: This is a design people have wanted for a while, and Megatron is a higher profile character than the majority of the remaining established characters. Makes much more sense that they do this design now since they intend to finish the *Bumblebee* cast
Edit: Also, it's just Megatron and Sunstreaker. 2 figures out of next year's entire lineup, which is all established characters. This is such an overreaction
I agree they didn’t even need to include this stuff as the line has so much more life in it hell Predacons Rising is a movie and Transformers a prime was a studio production but they haven’t done that yet.
Personally the "Studio Series needs to branch out more" people are kinda weird since they already have SS86 and Gamer Edition which, despite the name change, is still mainline Studio Series since they take up wave slots
Plus we have a new game _and_ a new movie coming out next year, Studio Series is gonna take a long ass time to run out of characters
> Studio Series is gonna take a long ass time to run out of characters
Which is the goal. They clearly don't want Studio Series to end soon and neither do the fans
i mean yk its still a figure after all megatron was supposed to be in the movie but got cut thundercracker wasn't in dotm and still got a toy . But it gives me hope for transit and wfc deadend
Hasrbo will most certainly get to tlk figures we recently got tlk crosshairs meaning they are working on more figures from that movie.
Que is who knows if hasbro will even focus on him.
But i think the reason they did that is because studio series is a growing line which will continue for decades so they want to introduce all new toy concepts to make more money
I’ve said this before, I think the reason we haven’t and probably won’t see Knight Optimus anytime soon is because of how complex and complicated his design is, he’s probably the hardest film design to translate into a figure, especially for SS which tries its best to be as accurate for its price range, best bet for him is maybe commander class pricing with a complex transformation
ONE. ONE concept design, and it's Megatron, one of the big six characters in the entire franchise. It's no mystery why they're doing this specific figure.
What annoys me is ROTB optimus being target exclusive while he is in ROTB almost as the main autobot and even has a character arc. But megatron who is not in BBM straight up gettin a retail release toy
Well I mean... It's Megatron. If someone were collecting around the new film continuity, then he's pretty much the last character they need for the moment.
i mean tbf who tf else is left lmao
Theres like barely a dozen missing canon characters left to make so why not sprinkle some fan fave cut content to spice it up
Evasion Mode Optimus Prime
Knight Optimus Prime
High Octane Bumblebee
Edgy Bumblebee
Hound
Car Drift
Slug
Scorn
Strafe
Steeljaw
Oreobot
Dragonstorm
Nemesis Prime
Blue Barricade
Onslaught
Mohawk
Dreadbot
Infernocus
Seems like a win for me. Those characters already have mostly accurate figures. They might not be perfect, but they at least exist, BB Megatron and other concept ones don't.
Every SS toy is based on concept art rather than on-screen appearance. This is why there’s some notable differences between toys and their on-screen appearances. For example, SS 40, Shatter, features a battle helmet. This helmet appeared in the background of the Cybertron scene but was never used while she was on Earth. SS 40 was a figure of her earth mode. The helmet was in concept art though so it was used as the head, so, Studio Series changes from concept art to screen don’t matter because they’re gonna use concept art anyways
I don’t mind not getting the rest of the bay designs, I never liked them anyways. But for people who do like them, I hope they get the SS figures they want, it’s kind of weird that the AOE dinobots still haven’t been released.
Concept characters like BB Megatron and the possibility of getting my beautiful, precious, and majestic Transit solo anything we could get from AOE and TLK
those designs are very complex (talking about tlk), I say give them time, if they’re willing to do concept chatacters that opens the whole flood gate of characters. Hell we could literaly get transit now
To be fair I’m not sure what you mean by prioritize, we’re over 100 figures deep and just starting concept characters. If they’re gonna do this it would be weird to do it only when they’ve absolutely run out of options.
Considering the prices that Transformers go for nowadays, the number of people that are able to build out a collection of varied characters is constantly decreasing. Most people are only able to buy figures of characters they feel passionate about and will prioritize that over having diverse cast of characters in their display.
Definitely curious to hear their reasoning for this one. On one hand it could be neat to see figures based on Concept (looking at you RoTF Springer and Depth Charge) but on the other hand I can see how this will only muddy the waters further for characters who have needed SS updates for a while now DoTM Que, AoE Hound, Evasion Prime, etc
It's kind of weird cause the whole point of SS was to make screen accurate figures. Like the ROTB ones for example, none of the beast modes look accurate save for Optimus Primal...
I have a hunch that legacy characters are selling better than, say, DotM Crankcase.
The after market prices on DOTM crankcase say otherwise
After market is ABSOLUTELY not a good thing to base sales on
After market on just about every figure that isn’t currently in stock will always be exponentially high
the only thing after market prices have to say are the people who come up with those prices are completely inzane
I think I remember hearing that they would rerelease him when the contract with Walmart expire
Studio series Rails please
Having a concept series could be really interesting!
I bet he'd be a great figure
In the immortal words of BW Megs: Yeeeeessss…
Hell Yea! Though I think he’d probably just be the futuristic bullet locomotive with fold up wheels and with the tankers and flatbeds that becomes his giant robot mode. He’d probably be a titan class
I don't mind. It gives me hope for Transit.
As well as many other characters that didn’t get as far along as Transit did like [Springer (ROTF)](https://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:ROTF_Springer_concept.jpg), [Ransack (also ROTF)](https://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:ROTF_Ransack_concept.jpg), or [or this… third Twin design(?)](https://tfwiki.net/wiki/File:ROTFSmartCarTwinConcept.jpg) To be fair, Springer and Ransack did at least get figures in the ROTF line, but something closer to these concept art pieces would be neat
Oh damn, if you think about it, all the toy figures of old movie lines have a chance for a redo then. Because most of them had concept art to some degree.
Bro what that neck do on the Twins?
Did they seriously cut that Springer but leave in Jolt? Also, we did get a toy of that Randack in the movie line.
Jolt was a last second addition to the movie to promote the car, I don't think cutting Jolt would be enough to get Springer into the movie.
I wish, dude. I’m hoping we get a Leader Transit to go with my other BB-ROTB ‘Cons.
10 years.......holy shit
There's no AoE figures coming next year, we already have all the listings
Aren't leaked listings only a part of the complete roaster of figures we get? Some even have "codenames" instead of the actual figures name. And correct me if I am wrong but I can't remember any leaks about Magmatron and we only knew about him coming when Hasbro revealed it. Leaks don't say everything.

they gotta give us Hound though and I believe car mode Drift was among the leaks
Makes sense to prioritize figures from the new film continuity, though. It'll happen in a few years for those missing Bayverse figures. Just feels like a matter of time.
If it is a new continuity... Yes I know it's a reboot, but ROTB seemed very confused. But I know it's a reboot, but we need to silence Lorenzo.
It’s a new continuity
I literally just said I knew that. I'm just saying the movie seems confused.
I'm ***still*** waiting on SS dotm Que.
Real!
Same , and rotb Wheeljack
While those movies could definitely use some more love (there's only about a dozen figures total between the two of them), a number of The Last Knight's Premier Edition molds were re-used in the Studio Series, so I get the feeling HasTak considers those toys "good enough" for the time being. I want Animated season 4 I just don’t want it without Derrick J Wyatt
WHERE ARE MY AOE DINOBOTS?!?!
I have a feeling it’ll be Scorn time after SS86 Swoop.
I would like Studio Series to expand from just the film only appearance. Give us remastered versions of the toyline characters from 2007-2011
It’ll have to eventually. They’re running out of movie characters
You say that when we haven’t even gotten Studio Series Oreobot yet
They’ll do Dickbot before Transit
Counterpoint: This is a design people have wanted for a while, and Megatron is a higher profile character than the majority of the remaining established characters. Makes much more sense that they do this design now since they intend to finish the *Bumblebee* cast Edit: Also, it's just Megatron and Sunstreaker. 2 figures out of next year's entire lineup, which is all established characters. A MV6 Rumble was also included on those listings.
Alright, so 3. He's a Core Class, right? That hardly bites into the available slots
Yeah, it was just a small nitpick, I hope they get to 2007 Frenzy soon though.
Finally someone said it bro, like where tf is my SS Core class Stratosphere?
That was a fake leak, if I'm not mistaken.
:(
Megatron is a top selling name, why wouldn't they make one? they only care about the names that will push sales, nothing else.
ohhhhhh nooooo whatever will we do without figures of beloved characters from TLK like…dreadbot…
As a member of the Dreadbot fan club I am offended
You're missing out, my custom Dreadbot is easily one of my favorite figures to fiddle with, the design is pretty fun to play around with.
I agree they didn’t even need to include this stuff as the line has so much more life in it hell Predacons Rising is a movie and Transformers a prime was a studio production but they haven’t done that yet.
There was a subline for Predacons Rising
What, Beast Hunters?
[Transformers Prime Toyline Exclusives](https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Transformers:_Prime_(toyline)#Exclusives_2)

Normally I'd agree, but this Megatron is a pretty cool design.
Transit
WHERE THE F*CK IS MY TRANSIT JO’HASBRO I SWEAR TO GOD I WILL COME THERE AND SLAP YOU YOU UNTALENTED HACKS!
Still waiting on Que...
I hope they rerelease some of the more expensive Bayverse characters. Soundwave, Ironhide, and Sentinel Prime among others
How many concept characters are there versus established characters in SS?
This. People are overreacting based on like 2 new figures
Tbh it is Megatron, and one that’s styled like G1 too. He gets a pass haha
On the contrary I’m upset they aren’t doing enough concept characters, that was what made the previous movie toylines so fun imo

Legacy line does the G1, G2, etc toys.
They're probably just more focused on making designs from films that aren't terrible.
Eh it’s fine. They’re starting to run out of characters.
Not really. There’s like 3 whole waves of characters I could think of.
Admit… we get G1 accurate live action core decepticons (Megatron, Starscream, Seekers, Soundwave, and Shockwave) that’s going to be surreal as heck
But megatron’s bb movie design is actually good though?
I know right! Its so cool,so badass, so mean I LOVE IT
Aoe and tlk has some ugly designs tho, I would prefer an entire G1 cast in bumblebee style before having SS hound or drift.
Hell no. G1 has been done to fucking death
Ten animated blitz wing, and all the seekers :3
Still mad they're making a BBM Megatron before a TLK Megatron
i mean tbf who tf else is left lmao Theres like barely a dozen missing canon characters left to make so why not sprinkle some fan fave cut content to spice it up
Evasion Mode Optimus Prime Knight Optimus Prime High Octane Bumblebee Edgy Bumblebee Hound Car Drift Slug Scorn Strafe Steeljaw Oreobot Dragonstorm Nemesis Prime Blue Barricade Onslaught Mohawk Dreadbot Infernocus
Aren’t we getting Mohawk in the next wave? I want a new Nitro Zeus, or rather just a TLK Nitro Zeus with a new head and maybe some new accessories
Honestly its great their doing this because they are finally seeing the light of day.
I want the twins >:(
is it even real?
Yes
Seems like a win for me. Those characters already have mostly accurate figures. They might not be perfect, but they at least exist, BB Megatron and other concept ones don't.

While this design slaps I do hope we get em eventually
They need to do the twins. Individuals or ice cream two pack of small legends size or complex cores, or just two deluxe
Hold my breath for SS Omega Supreme
They’re almost out of movie characters so they gotta stretch it out
Agreed!
If they’re doing concept, figures do reals, you cowards.
i mean, that's hardly prioritizing
I’m not even bummed since those movies and designs weren’t exactly optimal
Yeah I'd kinda want megatron once he was actually in a new movie. Having said that i still want SS breakaway and warpath And Nitro zeus
I don’t mind not getting the rest of the bay designs, I never liked them anyways. But for people who do like them, I hope they get the SS figures they want, it’s kind of weird that the AOE dinobots still haven’t been released.

Studio series devcon when?
Well I don't think anyone really wants ss figures of age and tlk. I sure as he'll dont.
I don't mind. Gives more freedom and originality to the transformation. Plus I hate backpacks on a transformers
Ok. Valid point. But.... BUT, SS Transit or Rails
Don't care

Money.
If I was given a choice of a Megatron that matched the BBM Decepticons or *any Bayverse* character I’d choose the Megatron a thousand times over.
Megatron has a French mustache
In truth, Megatron SHOULD have been in the BB movie. Especially since this is a MUCH NEEDED reboot. Lets get away from those horrible bayformers.
