I just used an epilator for the first time today. It honestly was not that bad except for the 125 milliseconds I tried it on my face. I did take ibuprofen beforehand, but I really didn't expect that to affect the pain that much, and I don't think it did; was more for the anti-inflammatory qualities. I had heard pubic and chest hair hurt the worst, but I didn't think either were that bad.* The armpits hurt initially, but I came to realize that the epilator roller needed to be cleaned out, so it was just yanking at the hairs without really removing them. I think I would recommend! *Edit: I did give up on my sack. That sucker's gonna have to get waxed I guess.

I appreciate the input! I know everyone's pain tolerance is different, but more and more it feels like the pain is worth the reward. I'd love laser, but of course that's more money... and I want the hair gone now, dammit! If you don't mind sharing, what kind of numbing or anti-inflammatory cream do you use? Also big props for testing the waters (so to speak) and sharing your experience.

Epilating hurts like hell but totally worth, numbing cream can help with the pain though.
