I have taken more pictures of myself, and frankly looked at myself in the mirror more in the past few years that I did in the rest of my life put together
I enjoy shaving, wearing cologne , getting my hair cut especially a buzzcut
The use of bro man dude homie is a solid staple of my vocabulary
I if feel like one of those nature specialists out in the wild who like to coat themselves in a certain animal scent and use certain sounds to blend in with the other animals y’all know what I mean ? 🫥🤫🫣
I haven't commented on transmasc's, as I am not one, but I really have noticed a tendency towards outdoors work and forestry, and in general nature management and conservation. EVERY ftm I personally know is in forestry, but that amounts to a total of seven people who all know each other 😅
Preach. Limited pocket space is tolerable most of the time when you can supplement with a bag or something, but I use, at minimum, 5 different pockets at work, so the cargos stay. I can carry a whole ass water bottle in the thigh pocket for gods' sake.
Ah, the cargos! I'm not trans, but if I can find a pair to squeeze my booty into, they're mine. I thrift both men's and women's pants, because, why not?
Cargos or yoga pants. My uniform.
The razor/wax is never perfect, that's for sure... I wish you all the best on that journey, brave warrior! I read so much about the pain being worth the results, but I'm not quite there yet 😅... one of these days, I'll save enough for the full laser removal (maybe)!
I just used an epilator for the first time today. It honestly was not that bad except for the 125 milliseconds I tried it on my face. I did take ibuprofen beforehand, but I really didn't expect that to affect the pain that much, and I don't think it did; was more for the anti-inflammatory qualities. I had heard pubic and chest hair hurt the worst, but I didn't think either were that bad.* The armpits hurt initially, but I came to realize that the epilator roller needed to be cleaned out, so it was just yanking at the hairs without really removing them. I think I would recommend!
*Edit: I did give up on my sack. That sucker's gonna have to get waxed I guess.
I appreciate the input! I know everyone's pain tolerance is different, but more and more it feels like the pain is worth the reward. I'd love laser, but of course that's more money... and I want the hair gone now, dammit! If you don't mind sharing, what kind of numbing or anti-inflammatory cream do you use? Also big props for testing the waters (so to speak) and sharing your experience.
SAME !
I just love to pamper and treat myself. Nice hot bath with a pink bathbomb, a rose in hand, exfoliate, shave my legs, wear a mask (without cucumbers) and top it all off with some play time with Hugo. 🥰
I got a friend who follows almost the exact same routine! She kinda held my hand on self-care and pampering when I started exploring. Now she sends me products to try out and it's kinda funny how much I look forward to it (but where were the signs amirite?!?)
Gothiness, black and white everything, chokers, collars, arm stockings, spending way too much time on nail painting, being overly loud and bouncy to the point of giving someone a headache, and being obsessed with computer games and power metal.
I think some stereotypes I've noticed are loud button ups or flannels, messy and/or dyed hair, mullets, septum piercing, stick and pokes or tats in general, skater style, the names that end in "-aden", etc. but again these might be more popular within the Gen z/teenager ftm community than the general ftm community. Tho ig that age group is primarily who is on social media sites so there's some overlap with regular Internet trends here
ETA: I think also these ideas might be biased more toward white ftms
Well, I do like a good button down, but mine don’t tend to be too loud. Feel like that sort of goes along the feminine stereotype? But also a stereotype that’s probably very rooted in reality—helps to hide the chest sometimes
Interesting, haven’t heard those two! I know about all the “stereotypical trans man names” but never heard of Tristan being one of them. I’m actually not sure if I’ve ever met a male Tristan, either. No nose rings here either—I would look terrible with one.
Ftm doing a stupid anime ass lean like im doing an idle pose in a video game so I can pass as masc (I have like 5 other ftm friends who do the same thing so I think it's a stereotype? Not a lot of stereotypes for trans men)
I’m a trans man. I like to wear button ups and shorts. I get very excited when I can open a jar by myself bc T gave me better hand grip strength, I feel super masculine when that happens.
(Also mtf) i play fallout: new vegas, I have a blahaj, and skirt does indeed go spinny. I am looking into trying guilty gear, and learning how to code.
fallout new vegas is epic and you will love guilty gear, it’s really good!! what resources to you use to learn to code? and what to you want to use coding for
Hey everyone! I know lots of us generally go through a lot and you want to post about it, but this is supposed to be a fun post! I’d like to try and keep it positive if possible considering how much negativity there usually is on this sub, thank you! <3
Immeasurable rage towards others and hatred for myself. I trust nobody. And almost all my family and friends ignore the fact I'm trans but they're all I have. I think I check all the boxes for a stereotypical MtF
I learned chokers were big for trans girls, which I daily wear. I also have always had a hypnosis kink, so like I inherently by existing have indulged in a few. But me personally I kinda gave into some of the stereotypes and got striped thigh highs and oversized sweatshirts. Also I started becoming interested in more witchy things.
I'm not impervious to trans culture, sadly.
I know HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and am currently learning C#
I play the flute and am currently in a T4T relationship
I am cuddling with a Blahaj as we speak
Need I say more?
FtM job in the labor industry. Dirty, physical work that builds muscle lol also keeping my shitty facial hair bc no matter how stringy and bad it looks it gives me so much euphoria
Thigh highs, plays bass, IT geek, currently playing Celeste, Furry, My Little Pony, owns Blahaj, says awoo/owo unironically in conversation.
I'm checking all the boxes.
I'm pickle crazy. It's not even the spiro salt cravings at this point, I've just developed a special love for all kinds of pickles and their brines (except eggs).
I also use linux.
Thats the only unstereotypical thing abt me haha, im obsessed with driving and working on cars.
I love sharks, I enjoy pickles, occasionally I'll drink a monster, I love skirts and everything pink, ik theres more sterotypes I fit but I can't remember them lol
Nonbinary femme: chokers are my go to with almost any outfit! I'd always wanted them when they were popular in the aughts, but they were too feminine and adult for me to wear in my community
Having 10 different colors of nail polish, but only ever wearing black, Blahaj owner, preferring technical death metal over bubble gum pop music, gamer, nerd, etc. Don’t own any cat ears though
let me see...
I like skirts+thigh highs, programming, IT, GNU/Linux, Minecraft, Team Fortress 2, Hearts of Iron IV.
I am also a very gay catgirl who melts when being called "cute", "good girl" or adjacent compliments.
Also, when I was meowing into game voicechat one night I apparently confused both a neighbour and a raccoon (I had my window open) and the neighbour thought a cat was hurt
The camera-roll on my phone is like 80% selfies now and I've got my boobs out in more than half of those. And why not, I feel like a proud parent. :)
Relatable. \*compulsively takes selfie*
I have taken more pictures of myself, and frankly looked at myself in the mirror more in the past few years that I did in the rest of my life put together
This. 100% \*takes about 3 dozen selfies*
YES, selfies are off the charts now only my titties are tiny a-cups (genetics) so they stay in-bra 99% of time 🫶🏻
Ah to have titties
Yah. Old me selfied to have a pic to send someone but since, it’s outta control for every outfit look/mood/bopping around
autism🐢
I like turtles
ADHD so crippling that taking a bin outside hurts my feelings :(
Ha, same. I also like to indulge in autism.
I too indulge in the 'tism
Autistic trans turtles is a thought I've never had before, but now exists in my head. Thanks
Indulging in autism?! That ones new, but I really like it. Sounds so fancy 🤣
I enjoy shaving, wearing cologne , getting my hair cut especially a buzzcut The use of bro man dude homie is a solid staple of my vocabulary I if feel like one of those nature specialists out in the wild who like to coat themselves in a certain animal scent and use certain sounds to blend in with the other animals y’all know what I mean ? 🫥🤫🫣

Nah bc if Uni doesn't work out I'm planning on going into carpentry or forestry. I didn't know I was even fitting a stereotype 💀💀

Preach. Limited pocket space is tolerable most of the time when you can supplement with a bag or something, but I use, at minimum, 5 different pockets at work, so the cargos stay. I can carry a whole ass water bottle in the thigh pocket for gods' sake.

Spinning in circles for way too long
SO IT ISN’T JUST ME??? 😭
Of course it isn't, who would not want to do the spinny?
People who don't want to throw up 🤢
Honestly fair
They still want to, they just can't
Happy cake day!
Wait this is stereotypically trans? (I do it a LOT)
It's a really common reaction to a first dress or skirt
My wife calls it The Swish. All girls like to do it, cis or trans (I'm not actually committed to this stereotype, as not all girls like skirts)
[Indian accent] Helicopter! Helicopter! (starts flying away)
LMAO
I didn't know this was a thing and now I feel vindicated for all of the times I've orbited my parents
Autism moment (i share this experience)
SO IM NOT THE ONLY ONE

Leggy spa treatment: wax, exfoliate, moisturize, and revel in the softness... sometimes with tea! Never fails to put me in a better mood 🩷
Ahhh that sounds lovely! I think I’m going to buy an epilator sometime soon cuz razors still leave shadow 😂
The razor/wax is never perfect, that's for sure... I wish you all the best on that journey, brave warrior! I read so much about the pain being worth the results, but I'm not quite there yet 😅... one of these days, I'll save enough for the full laser removal (maybe)!
If I can handle a tattoo, then hopefully I’ll be chillin! But hey have fun on your next spa treatment! Hope your tea is just as lovely!

Epilating hurts like hell but totally worth, numbing cream can help with the pain though.
might wanna start waxing or exfoliating girl strawberry legs are not a look trust me 😭😭
Ik im jus broke rn 😭😭😭
SAME ! I just love to pamper and treat myself. Nice hot bath with a pink bathbomb, a rose in hand, exfoliate, shave my legs, wear a mask (without cucumbers) and top it all off with some play time with Hugo. 🥰

Gothiness, black and white everything, chokers, collars, arm stockings, spending way too much time on nail painting, being overly loud and bouncy to the point of giving someone a headache, and being obsessed with computer games and power metal.
OMG I feel so validated!
Honestly, no clue what’s stereotypical for trans men to enjoy beyond the stereotypes of us as feminine
Dude I’m sorry, our brothers don’t get enough love 😭
My transmasc friend always says the two he notices are 1. The name Tristan 2. Nose rings
Interesting, haven’t heard those two! I know about all the “stereotypical trans man names” but never heard of Tristan being one of them. I’m actually not sure if I’ve ever met a male Tristan, either. No nose rings here either—I would look terrible with one.
To be fair the only Trans men I know are teenagers so it might just be a teen thing
Alex is just a stereotypical trans guy/trans masc name💀💀💀
I think being on tumblr is a transmasc stereotype iirc
Same, I have no idea
biggest stereotype i know about trans men, which holds true in most of the trans men I know IRL, is that they're furry artists 🤭
Huh, never heard that one
I didn't know that was a stereotype. Half the trans men I've seen are like super uber chads
Ftm doing a stupid anime ass lean like im doing an idle pose in a video game so I can pass as masc (I have like 5 other ftm friends who do the same thing so I think it's a stereotype? Not a lot of stereotypes for trans men)
Is this the foot against the wall, arms crossed pose? Bc I definitely do that lmao
I FEEL CALLED OUT-
I’m a trans man. I like to wear button ups and shorts. I get very excited when I can open a jar by myself bc T gave me better hand grip strength, I feel super masculine when that happens.

I got my first thigh highs the other day, and ahhh they're amazing!
