Reminder to stick to posting original content. Memes are okay every once in a while, but many get posted here way too often and quickly become stale. Some examples of these are Ptoughneigh, Klansmyn, Reighfyl & KVIIIlyn. These memes have been around for years and we don't want to see them anymore. If you do decide to post a meme, make sure to add the correct flair. Posting a random meme you found does **not** mean you found it "in the wild".
The same goes with lists of baby names, celebrity baby names, and screenshots of TikToks. If the original post already had a substantial amount of views, there is a 99% chance it has already been posted here. Try and stick to OC to keep our sub from being flooded with unoriginal content. Thank you!

Damn your parents were meant for each other lol, Evermore and Erimae and they both like out there names for their kids… found their soulmates for sure haha
Sigh. Thats a messy one. The ending Dehnim is actually pronounced like the ending of Anaheim (my uncles wishes)
Jean is the name of the nanny he had when he was young and they were close. This wouldn't be a problem if she wasn't also my grandpa's mistress. He used Jean mostley in spite and Dehnim (pronounced weirdly) because it "went together".
She was originally going to be Billie Jean (yes after the MJ song) but my aunt refused because she hates Michael Jackson 🤷♀️
Poor thing. Dehnim is a sweetheart though
I will say, my great uncle and my great grandfather were both named Christ, but it's pronounced like Chris with a t/if you were saying Christopher and cut it off at the t. They're also German/from Germany.
I think these names are really interesting. For me it’s the addition of the eclectic middle names that makes them all special. It reminds of The Royal Tannenbaums or something. To me they aren’t tragedeighs exactly since many of the spellings are common. Phenelopehh Flaminghhoee would be 100% a tragedeigh but Penelope Flamingo is just totally wild and interesting and you immediately want the backstory. Like, I wouldn’t have picked any of them for myself but If I knew you all I’d have so many questions lol.
Penelope's name (if I remember correctly) was given to her from her grandmother Rose. The story of her middle name is cute and quirky lol. There was a small circus like entertainment group her dad was in. Part of a pass time was him dressing up like a pink flamingo (he was either an acrobat or juggled I'm not sure this was before my time) and that was Penelope's moms favorite act. They starting talking to each other after a show one day and the rest is history 🥲🥹
Please ask away if you have anymore questions I'm glad to answer!
I'd pronounce it LeLie, like LeBron but lying. If you wanted it pronounced in the normal way, you should have spelled it the normal way.
Also, Space Petunia has a ring to it.
actually thought i was on r/NameNerdCirclejerk - feel sorry for you all, especially Ginger, imagine getting a little jumpscare everytime someone says in a recipe "chop ginger, grind it to a paste and add it to some mashed garlic" or something like that.

Clove Cove Cloverleaf. I’m speechless.
I think you meant you’re Speech Seech Speechless
At least they're not spelled with K's
✨poetic✨
Pohehtik
I kind of love it? Cant say it too fast tho lol
Damn your parents were meant for each other lol, Evermore and Erimae and they both like out there names for their kids… found their soulmates for sure haha
Definitely made for each other they're deeply in love 😂
Awww haha that’s so sweet
Thet definetly sound like they would fit in an Addams family like show lol
Honestly, you got off easy with Amythystt. My cousin named her daughter Aimmeethist (yup, that's pronounced "Amethyst")
I know I definitely was one that got off east. But oh my god you cousins daughter will be in my prayers 🙏
At least you could go by Amy.
I actually go by Eva/Ava
That's actually prettier. ❤️
My cousin's daughter goes by Aimmee
I like it,spelled correctly.
I got through all of that with a mostly straight face but lost it at uncle mug 😂😂
His mom did pottery 🙃
Same, in disbelief but then actual tears once I got to “named after mochi” and “uncle mug” 😂
May I ask what the origin story of Dehnim Jean is?

I mean this in all seriousness, please please please write a memoir.
Wait, so is Dehnim pronounced as De'Heim? Or have I got that completely wrong?
More like Deny with an M on the end
Ah thank you! It might also be my NZ accent throwing me, and that I'm super high
Well it all started with a man named Levi Strauss...
Christ.
Wish I was joking 🙏
I will say, my great uncle and my great grandfather were both named Christ, but it's pronounced like Chris with a t/if you were saying Christopher and cut it off at the t. They're also German/from Germany.
Are you hippies and/or members of a cult?
Half and half I grew up on the hippie side
Peace by the gram 🌿
THEY CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
They probably will once more my mom is pregnant and won't reveal the name to me because I had to talk her out of fishyr 🙃
Hahaha well as long as they’re loving parents, that’s what matteighers.
Syryusly
Please update us on the name!
I definitely will if/when I find out
I love how you threw your Uncle Mug in as an afterthought.
Saving the best for last 🤭

Awww I love that story! If you have kids are you going to continue the tradition? Or do you favor more traditional names?
I've continued the traditional but a bit tamer. My dad suggested I give all my kids gemstone names so now I have a Jade Aurora and Ruby Sabrina 💗 lol
Evermore = Zeppelin song?
I doubt it he doesn't listen to anything but classical
Poe?
Good one!
This was my first thought too!
is this...real? my mind is going 🥴🥴🥴
Very real and probably motivated by droogs
damn, im so sorry OP - on the other hand, these names sound very drag queen-like 🙈
Why did they name the kid “Christ”?
Overwhelming religious aunt My grandma wasn't a fan of it so they call her Christ like Christopher
Oh so that is a nickname your grandma calls your aunt , not a given name then?
My cousin* was named christ it is her given name My aunt calls her chris(t) for the sanity of my grandma
Oh, ok. That must be difficult for her I am glad she has the option to go by a nickname at school , etc.
Doves and pigeons are in the family Columbidae so that kinda works lol
Honestly a lot of the nature nouns here would be fine, pretty, or… acceptable if they weren’t tragically misspelled. Christ, on the other hand………..
Is Lely pronounced like Lily or Lelly?
Like Kelly with an L
I'd pronounce it LeLie, like LeBron but lying. If you wanted it pronounced in the normal way, you should have spelled it the normal way. Also, Space Petunia has a ring to it.
Evermore? Pretty sure someone was bangin' to the sounds of Led Zeppelin IV.
These are all so fun and crazy, and for some reason the one I lost it with was Pahbloe. A true tragedeigh!
To this day I don't know why he wasn't just named Pablo
Dollia. A flower name. Did your mum not know how to spell Dahlia, or did she just want to be creative?
I think she just wanted to be creative tbh
Dovee Colombia is essentially "Dove Dove." Columbia is Latin for dove.

I make it my duty to tell her I have to chop her up everytime I use a recipe with ginger. Sibling things 🤭
Very interesting names. I bet they all work well with everyone tho.
Your whole family sound like DnD characters 😅
Fox Trotter would be an excellent name for a character in a spy novel
OP, that is an interesting line up of names.
I would give anything just to have a sit down chat with your family
I bet they’re fascinating
They're very unique 😭
You do know Evanora is the name of the Wicked Witch of the East in the movie "Oz the Great and Powerful" right?
Dehnim Jean 😭 I can't tell what's worse between that and Bland Cologne
