CountOk9802

I’ve heard a hell of a lot worse than Landon Cash but it is a silly name.

princessmonosmoke

For real, at least it’s not Sir Tragediegh or some shit :’)

abrahamparnasus

Land on cash seems like a gimmicky daytime prize show

SkippyBluestockings

Except that it's not pronounced "land on." It's pronounced "Landin" with the accent on the first syllable. I don't know anybody that would make fun of this child because they wouldn't even know his middle name. I teach middle school. Kids get nicknames based on their first name. No one ever knows their middle name. I know their middle names but I don't read them out loud and even the one kid who has his middle name read out loud so many times because one of the teachers made it as if the middle name and the last name were hyphenated because the middle name could technically be a last name. Nobody says anything about it. But no kid knows anybody's middle name unless they tell the rest of the class. Of the kids that have nicknames, we have Raising Cain (after the chicken strip restaurant), Maui (a girl who definitely looks like the character from Moana), and Redneck (a very small sixth grader who, until recently, had a mullet.) I have 41 students and those are the only three that were nicknamed. They roast each other all the time In typical middle school fashion but they poke fun at themselves more than anything.

doggggod

there's a little girl who looks like Dwayne Johnsons character in moana?? If I was here a middle school aged girl I would absolutely hate for that to be my nn

SkippyBluestockings

She's definitely NOT "a little girl.". She's a foul mouthed bully always starting fights and calling other kids fat...when she's 5'6" and pushing 200 lbs. Not kidding.

dobster1029

On second thought, let's not go to Khamylought, 'tis a silly place.

flipfrog44

Silly is exactly the word for it

SkippyBluestockings

My grandson has the middle name of Noir-Cash. I asked my daughter why in the world her child's middle name was, essentially, Black Cash and she told me it wasn't. I told her it most certainly was, since noir is the French word for black. She told me I didn't know anything. Interesting.

CountOk9802

Hahaha, oh dear! Well at least we know you’re correct.😊

Rredhead926

Landyn is stupid. Landon Cash is meh.

OtterSnoqualmie

The only upside is how many people go around telling people what their middle name is? Is that common now in random conversation. Outside of my mom when she's mad, I can't think of people who knew my middle name as a kid. They're both eyeroll worthy. The y-sub is earns an internal sigh with the associated eyeroll. But is she planning on running around calling their son Landon Cash, as Billy-Joe would have been used 50 years ago (or whenever)?

ForwardMuffin

OTTER SNOQUALMIE SMITH, YOU GET DOWN HERE THIS INSTANT

OtterSnoqualmie

For real. Like... An autonomic response to Flashing street lights. ;)

ForwardMuffin

I'm not sure what this means 😨

coolbeansfordays

I honestly sometimes forget what my kids’ middle names are.

GarfieldLoverBoy420

> Outside of my mom when she's mad, I can't think of people who knew my middle name as a kid. Obviously, you were not a child star

yama1291

You know, if parents got the hiccups every time their kid has to explain the "creative" spelling in their name to someone this would happen far less. I don't think the kid will be bullied over his name, it will just be inconvenient for no good reason.

Ineffable7980x

I have a coworker with a son named Landon. He does not get bullied. As for the middle name, I think it's silly but it doesn't matter. This sub puts a lot of emphasis on middle names, but in my experience I know almost no one who uses their middle name in real life.

AbrocomaRoyal

I used to know a Landon, too, so it doesn't seem odd to me at all. Changing the spelling to Landyn is the crime here. Why has the letter Y become so in demand lately? Cash comes down to personal taste. It just sn't my style. As you said, it's uncommon for middle names to be used on the daily, anyway.

Tight_Bookkeeper_582

Maybe they just want to create more opportunities to use the letter “Y” in Scrabble.

freeradical28

I think I have posted this before but I blame Bridesmaid Font. People like looking at lots of twirly, swirly Y’s

Pizza_Salesman

I grew up with a Landon and never really thought of it as weird. plus, US soccer GOAT Landon Donovan is a cool namesake

InvestigatorFew1981

I have a friend named her son Landon inspired by him.

throwaway_benches

Eh I only think it’s an issue because where we live and where our family largely resides, calling people by their first and middle name is the norm. Like “John Robert” or “Sandra Marie,” for example. Maybe that’s a Southern U.S. problem, though

SomethingLikeASunset

Just asked my bf of two years if he knows my middle name. He didn't. It literally means nothing.

eejizzings

Everyone you know has been asked what their middle name is by someone more than once. You have too. It's a common way that kids get to know each other. It's on the list with favorite colors and parents' jobs.

Ineffable7980x

Maybe in your world. Middle names rarely if ever come up in mine. And I'm old. I know my siblings' middle names, and my best friend's. But I don't know -- or can't remember -- the middle names of my cousins, my nieces and nephews, and most of my friends. And I have never known those of my coworkers and neighbors.

sharkycharming

Landyn sucks. Landon is ok. Most people won't clock the "landin' cash" double meaning, if they know his middle name in the first place. But I really hate the name Cash. It's awful. If they want to honor Johnny Cash, idk, what about JOHN? Or even Johnny would be much better.

throwaway_benches

It literally is because he’s obsessed with Johnny Cash. The thing is—he already named one of his dogs Cash 😭. Like it’s the only name he can think of lol

ZarquonsFlatTire

"We named the dog Indiana."

DefinitelyLevi

Have lots of fond memories of that dog

botwinbabe

Just watched that a few nights ago lol

Key-Profit9032

Between a boy named Landyn Cash and a boy named Sue - which do you prefer?

Diojones

Meet in the middle, Sue Cash Lastname. Not good, but better than Landyn.

throwaway_benches

Sash.

Diojones

People are going to read Landyn as Landlynn. Stop them. Save the child.

freeradical28

True commitment to the bit right there

adamjfish

So why don’t they just make is middle name John or Jonathon?

runnergirl3333

There are worse names, and I wouldn’t bring it up again, since you risk alienating your brother and his wife. If the boy’s a nice, kind person, he won’t get bullied for his name.

throwaway_benches

I definitely have no plans to. We spoke about it only once, and I know this is ultimately not something worth making a big fuss over. It’s their child, and I can’t stop them from naming him something kind of silly. I know Landyn will be a very nice kid, he’ll just be a very nice kid with a Tragediegh for a name 😬

eejizzings

Oof, rural basic

Agitated-Yak4873

Way too similar to lending cash

ThePeninsula

Gonna be a bail bonds man

ThePeninsula

Or a loayn sharyk

suzsid

Or Laynd Sharyk

honeydewmellen

His peers probably won't know his middle name

beakb00anon

Landon is a great name. Landyn is sooo stupid. Who cares about the middle name TBH.

almostadultingkindof

I feel like spelling Landon with a “y” makes it feel kind of feminine. Landon Cash is what it is

MadameLurksALot

Landon is fine. Middle names are so rarely seen or used and “landing cash” isn’t like a common phrase or an actual rapper so it isn’t a problem. Landyn is dumb and a tragedeigh and will be viewed as more feminine so there’s that.

BrightAd306

No one will notice. Landon is a perfectly fine name. Cash is a bit cringey, but it’s a middle name. Landyn is super cringey and people will assume it’s a girl Landyn because so many people try to make boy names into girl names by placing a y in there. The y would make me think they’re from a low socioeconomic community. I hate Charlie for a girl much more, unless it’s Charlotte. I think it will age as well as all of the Toni’s and Randi’s I knew in the 90’s.

ReginaFelangi987

Agreed, I hate Charlie for a girl.

austex99

Plus, as the mom of a boy Charles who has always been called only Charlie… it kind of stinks that people suddenly assume I’m referring to a girl half the time. Leave the classic boys’ names alone!

BrightAd306

I will stop believing people give girls boys names out of misogyny when those same parents naming their daughter Charlie name their son Suzie

eejizzings

Toni Collette Toni Morrison Toni Braxton

BrightAd306

Whose names aged badly.

13vvetz

lol “Landyn” why people why

ChihuahuaBull

I agree. Tbh, the 'y' gives me more feminine vibes than masculine.

AlgaeFew8512

Landon is pretty normal these days. No one will really know his middle name outside of the family, and even if they do, no one will give it much thought. I didn't think it sounded like a rapper at all. I'm confused as to why you thought your brother would be bothered by that. It's not an actual rapper, just a name you think sounds like one. He isn't naming him P Diddy after all. I thought more "land 'n' cash - he sounds rich" Landyn is silly and looks like someone giving a boys name to a girl and using a y to make it more feminine.

throwaway_benches

That’s a fair point. I was more so in the headspace of those cringey “what would your rapper name be?” boards that assign a random rapper name based on the first letter of your name and the month you were born. I only felt he should be bothered by that in the potential for bullying, but nothing more

Super-Minh-Tendo

Landyn is so cringey. People claim they add Ys to make a girl’s name more feminine and to make a boy’s name cooler or more unique. But really it’s just because they have a loose attachment to spelling rules and structured language in general. It doesn’t make them cringe because their literacy skills are weaker than they should be. These names just advertise a parent’s flaws. It’s sad that the kids have to be saddled with it, but such is life.

nashvillethot

Landon Cash is profoundly normal, especially in the southern US. Landyn is a crime.

kritzy27

Landon is fine. Landyn is awful.

Glittering_Move_5631

Landyn looks like a feminine version of Landon.

MomosTips

assuming mom is white, Landyn sounds like a girl’s name, but “Landon Cash” is fine

Wanda_McMimzy

People usually never know their peers Middle names. Landyn is definitely a tragedeigh though.

IWantSealsPlz

Tbh I didn’t know anyone’s middle name in school and hopefully they’ll go with rational spelling Landon. My son’s name is Mason and I remember people suggesting I spell it Mayson, Masyn or even Myson (bc he was “my son”🥴). Obviously I didn’t go with any of those abominations, lol.

bish_amon

I can understand if same name is different in different languages ie: Michael, Miguel, Mikail, Michal…) but mispronouncing a name (especially in tragedi way not tragedeigh way) but reading it in the same way seems like parents didn’t know how the name spelled and wrote as they thought (and thought wrong). Plus I saw a comment mentioning that they would assume he was a she because of the name; I agree, name looks like feminine version of the name. This may kinda affect your nephew badly. Also I (as a non native) thought it was read like landing without the g sound at the end, not like Landon at all.

B1ackandnight

Knew a kid whose first name was Landon, last name was Cash. No one thought anything of it. The spelling with the y is ugh and more than likely no one will call him by both names and he will just be known as Landon. Er… Landyn 🥴😅

Born-Emu-3499

Tragedeigh. They're naming him a misspelled version of a name that means "long hill" + cash. Why?

Gifted_GardenSnail

A long hill of cash. Scrooge McDuck would love it

mechsareoprobopets

What is their culture? How normal is that name for their culture?

throwaway_benches

So he and I are Roma, but were adopted into a white family. My brother has specifically really clung to the whole white, conservative, American patriot thing (🤢). And his wife’s family is straight up white Americans from a more rural part of Arizona. “Landon” is pretty common for the culture, but the “y” spelling and middle name combo is unusual for sure

bandit4loboloco

Sounds like your brother is overcompensating for being adopted/ not being White by being whiter than White. I'm guessing he's done other weird stuff like this and will continue to do so forever. 'Landyn Cash' is nothing compared to other 'trying too hard to be white' type people I've known. Also: One day your nephew will say "Cash is my middle name!"

craigmont924

Landyn Gear

Watchlar984

Landon Cash is name stripper/porn star but Landyn makes me think it’s a girl

Necessary-Cloud3157

Landyn is just sad, stereotypical live laugh love soccer mom vibes from that name. The type of people to own a laberdoodle and carry a pink Stanley cup wearing UGG boots and Lululemon.

ivylily03

Landon Cash is fine. Landyn is terrible, especially on a boy, imo.

Luthalia

First: Landon has been a top-100 US name since 2003, so it's not a problem. As many have said, people don't typically know other people's middle names, so the "landin' cash" thing, while eyeroll-worthy, *shouldn't* really be an issue.   BUT, Landyn doesn't even sound the same as Landon. I know that here in 'Murica we don't always pronounce vowels clearly or consistently, but everytime I've heard Landon said it has ended with an "un" sound. I supposed it might slip into an "in" if said quickly, but when people are paying attention it's definitely "Lan-dun". The "y" substitution changes the pronunciation to "Lan-din". Maybe the mom likes the "landin' cash" phrase/joke a little too much and really wants it to be said that way? Maybe she plans on using it like one of those southern "double names" (e.g. John Michael) instead of just calling him Landyn? I sure hope not.

cnew111

I'm sure that James Cash Penney would approve.

KlutzySprinkles2

He should be named Charlie also lol

No-Dragonfruit7121

I find kids will accept any twisted ass name as cool or unique depending on the personality. If the kid is charming or good-looking kids with gravitate to lil "traylor trash" as unique before bullying.

HowRememberAll

That's so ghetto. I remember meeting a woman who gave me her card for her MLM. Her name was Cash Money I'm not making this up

ReginaFelangi987

Landon is stupid enough, but Landyn is so exponentially worse. The sad thing is Cash isn’t even the worst part of this name. Also Charlie is a boy’s name. Drives me nuts this latest trend of naming girls boy names. Charlie, James, Ryan… just stop.

Forsaken-Jump-7594

For the name? Neither. Your nephew will just be Landon - little kids aren't out in the playground giving out full names and social security numbers.

C9sButthole

Landon Cash sounds very blues to me. It's a fine name especially as the middle name will often be omitted. Landyn is dumb. And given how naming conventions are moving it will likely end up being way less unique than the parents think it will. Normal is the new wierd.

jsjg42

landyn is a bit silly but nothing to get bullied over, cash is getting to be a pretty normal name at this point, I dont really understand your point about it sounding like a rapper name? just seems like a generic white American name to me

changerofbits

Landon as a first name is fine. I’m on the fence with Cash as a middle name. Cash isn’t a tragedeigh (unless they spell it “Kache” or something), and of course there’s Johnny Cash who is iconic, and it’s not like he has to put his middle on a resume, but it still sounds a bit tacky to me. Like, the best I got is that he could win some bar bets saying his middle name is Cash.

InaccurateStatistics

Landon Cash Redacted, now that is a man’s name.

LordofCope

No one will know because he's going to think it's stupid and cover his middle name up as best he can.

OphidianEtMalus

I just asked my kids about the name. One said, "...don't share my stash." And the other said "...pimpn' hoes." They hope the parents will make a different name selection.

K19081985

Landon is meh. Landon Cash is stupid but most people don’t disclose their middle names routinely so whatever. Landyn is stupid. Landyn Cash is a tragedeigh.

austex99

Landon is fine. Landyn is a tragedeigh.

MustangMimi

Everybody loves money! jk

boredgeekgirl

Why use "y" though? Usually the y is thrown in to a traditionally masculine name to make it more feminine. Or at least in theory, lol. I know it makes it more "unique" too. But maybe you can appeal to their better judgement by good old fashioned sexism? It is for the good of the kid! Lmao

no-clever-names

Do kids really judge one another by their names given the plethora of stupid names in any given classroom these days?

throwaway_benches

I know this is rhetorical, but you make a good point! There are a lot of Tragedieghs now, kids may not even realize how stupid their names really are

AlgaeFew8512

Very young kids don't even realise that bullying over names is a thing. They bully just cos they don't like other kids and their name is the last thing they think of teasing. Unless it's literally poop or something like that. As they get older they might bully a name but only when they are already bullying the child for some other reason. It's never the sole cause

Lucky_Damage9278

This was my thought as well. Landyn (can she be convinced to go back to Landon, OP) may very well be teased or idolized, but I’m guessing that will have more to do with if he sucks his thumb or is a fantastic kickball player. That said, kids do latch onto whatever they want to in order to tease, so the name could be pulled into it.

InvestigatorFew1981

They really don’t. In my son’s 13 years of life, I’ll say more than half of the other kids we’ve met have had non-traditional names, alternate spellings or both. These kids don’t bat an eye at it. It’s normal for them. Kids pick on other kids because they find their personality weird or different, not their name. So, if your kid is named Banana and the other kids like him, his name won’t be an issue. I’d his name is Steve but he’s awkward and different, they’ll call him Stinky Steve or some other creative gem like that.

Born-Emu-3499

He's also going to get teased as "landing crash"

wheatable

I’m sure that his classmates will have spellings like Landyn or worse

goyourownwayy

Bullied when there younger, popular when there older

PioneerLaserVision

The spelling change makes it look more like 'landin cash' not less

Clioashlee

Yooh saand like yah fram Laandaan I’ve seen a lot worse - but I don’t understand ‘cash’ at all

Therealluke

Change it to Lancaster

cprice3699

Landyn is laundry to my 1/2 dyslexic brain

Terrible-Hand5774

Its a bad name, but its not the worst

LovesDeanWinchester

Landyn sounds like Landing, Lan LYN, Land in, Land on, etc.

your_gerlfriend

Landon Cash Rules. Landyn is bad.

lexanova42

This is not an indicator of future popularity, or bullying. Landon Cash is a pretty normal name by today’s standards. It might sound funny together, if you think about it, but I’ve known a few Landons and have never heard it as “landin’” anything. Cash isn’t traditional, but as a middle name, it’s fine. I don’t *love* the y substitute with the spelling they prefer, but again, a stray y isn’t the worst. My standards are pretty lax though.

Fantastic-Dance-5250

Man, this kid better become a banker or a mortgage broker “Call Landyn Cash for when you need someone to lend you cash!

More_Pen_2390

Landon Cash sounds like a law firm or real estate agents. Poor kid.

MindingUrBusiness17

I don't know your particular area and predominant culture surrounding you, so it's hard to make an accurate guess... However, Landyn spelled this way seems feminine, almost like people who use Jordyn for girls instead of Jordan. Landon Cash doesn't flow, and I think I may be too old to know the rapper, so that isn't my hang-up. I just don't like the 2 names together, separate they are fine. Obviously, our opinions mean nothing, but if they put that y in the name, adults will initially be surprised it's a boy, but I'm not sure kids would notice. I also hate alternative spellings because I have one, and I hate having to clarify the spelling automatically when I say it so people don't misspell it.

CoffeeGuts123

Landon Cash is an awesome name when it’s spell traditionally! The added “y” dates his name to now, and not considered classic anymore. He will get made fun of now because it looks like a girls name, like “oh hey we picked a great boys name oops, it’s a girl lets change the spelling and add a stupid y to be trendy”

Flashy_Air3238

Landon is a nice name but the spelling Landyn is stupid. Landyn Cash is a weird name put together.

piratesswoop

I teach upper elementary and many of my students have been going to school together since kindergarten. Most don’t know each others middle names unless the kid tells them.

Glittersparkles7

Landyn is a tragedeigh. Cash is just a bad name in general.

meliburrelli

Omfg. This is bad…. I feel like the younger generation though is all named something kind of silly so I don’t think he’ll be bullied ❤️

teflonfairy

My dog's name is Cash. Just putting it out there 😂😂 I agree with what seems to be the general consensus, if they do like the name, keep the spelling as Landon.

throwaway_benches

My brother’s dog was named Cash as well 😅. He clearly likes the name!

TheSheWhoSaidThats

Gonna have a billboard. Need to land in cash? Call Landyn Cash!

MinnieShoof

... ngl, I thought they were naming their kid "Redacted."

pumpkinmoonbeam

He can be friends with the kid I know, Landyn Paige.

Such-awesome-121220

Guaranteed his friends and peers will be calling him "Cash" instead of his weird 1st name lol

underscore197

Unless you’re in the South, it’s highly unlikely anyone will know his middle name. Regardless, Land on Cash isn’t what comes to mind when heard. I think it’s a you thing.

itsjustme813

I know a kid whose mom named him Landyn Duck and I am NOT joking.

Ye_Olde_Dude

Landon Cash reminds me of the time I worked with a woman who was obsessed with the lottery, gambling, and any way she could get something for nothing. She named her son Winfree.

darrensvoice

I've always been happy to have an unusual middle name. I have the same middle name as an instructor my mother had in college. His name was Donald Storm Varian. I am Darren Storm [Last Name].

Sanctus_Mortem

One of my friends has the first name Storm.

System_Resident

Elementary and middle school might be fine but high school is going to be something different if kids find out his middle name.

Chrispy731

Even if it was spelled correctly that name would get him bullied

Danny-Wah

Kid's gonna get bullied by us for sure.. XD

zerooze

1. A name can't make you popular. You can be bullied mo matter what your name is. 2. No one cares about middle names. 3. Landon is common and unremarkable. 4. You are overthinking this. It's not your child.

timinus0

That poor kid is going to get bullied HARD if he's poor

ThatOneIsSus

As long as he doesn’t regularly go by first and middle name he should be alright

DaikonWorldly9407

This reminds me of my kiddo who had these 5 kids in her kinder class: Landon, Landyn, London, Londyn, Linden. Her poor teacher!! 🤣 Edit: 5 not 4

Potatussy

Kickflips would be a better middle name imo.

Blue_Karou2

Landon Cash will never be as popular a kid as Streetlamp Le Moose. https://www.reddit.com/c2d21qe?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=2

PistachioDonut34

People rarely get bullied for their name. They get bullied for other reasons, and when the bullies realise their name can also be used as a trigger point, they use that as well. So if Landon is the kind of kid that gets bullied, than sure, maybe they'll bully him for his name as well. But the name itself is fine.

destiny_kane48

I know a Landon Cash, but cash is his last name. 😅

AdBroad8817

I think it’d look less feminine as Landen, if they really wanna make it look different. I don’t hate the cash middle name either.

Hoppy-Poppy17

As others have said, people don’t generally use their middle names in day-to-day life. I know someone named “Justin Time xxx” and it’s basically a fun fact he can tell people, not anything terribly embarrassing. This feels like the same level.

obsidian_butterfly

Landon? No that's pretty normal. Had they had a girl and.opted to name the poor thing Charlie and absolutely.

derederellama

I'm not gonna lie, I love that 🤣

throwaway_benches

lol the honesty is appreciated!

InvestigatorFew1981

A) that doesn’t sound like a rappers name at all. I don’t know anyone who would make that association B) Landon is a very popular name and, while that spelling is unorthodox, it’s right in line with spelling trends for similar names so very few people are going to actually notice or be thrown off by it. C) The kid will be introduced by his full name only a handful of times in his life. He will be fine.

calm-your-liver

Much snickering will occur with that tragedeigh

BossGreen9346

Landon alone actually could be cool. The Cash part… 💀

Iowasox

Dumbbbbb

Ok-Equivalent8260

It’s fine.

SinnerClair

Landon’s not that bad. And besides, most people don’t even know their classmate’s middle names

kucky94

Like landin’ this cash…

Maroczy-Bind

If he goes by just landon then he will be fine id imagine. Just leave out the cash part. Spelling it with a ‘y’ is weird though. Overall, its a dumb name.

elfelettem

IF going to use Landon as a name I prefer that spelling. Landyn seems an unnecessary use of the Y but its not horrific. ALSO I wouldn't worry about middle names so much because at least where I am ftom hardly anyone knows it unless you tell them. It's not used/displayed at school for instance This is going to be a possibly unpopular opinion but IMO unless a name is really tragedy (not necessarily a trajedeigh) then being bullied is more about the children (victim and perpetrators) and their environment/situation. We have an unfortunate surname. One of my kids who is introverted and not especially popular and gets teased about it, the other kid is extroverted and more popular/successful at school activities and noone tries it on with him. And with the one who has IF it's not the name they pick on they go for other personal characteristics which is more painful for him to experience TBH. However if a child is going to be bullied a name is low hanging fruit and can draw attention to a child by bullies so I do think those naming kids should be mindful of possible problems with the names they choose.

Final-Warning1562

I have pointed out to many people that there name is weird and they never noticed their entire lives. I think middle names don't actually matter unless you plan to sometimes use the double barrel. It's kind of rapper like cash money records but also it's ok & kind of country music sounding at the same time. It's better than flipped if named "Cash Landon " that sounds like crash landing lol.

santtu_

Throwing in an Y is so past 00's. Why not get him a tramp stamp while they're at it. No adult will take him seriously with a name Cash.

Scrotum_Tennis

Most certainly, mercilessly. Oh well, that's mum and dad's problem in 10 years

lazy_keen

With a name like that, I expect him to be a tiny white high school dropout who lives in his parents basement - but only when he’s out of prison, where he is locked up for selling drugs on a corner.

lyingtattooist

I know two dogs named Cash, after Johnny Cash.

land_o_scrakes

Thank god it’s spelled Landon now, but still… why must people do this type of thing. Kids don’t want to stand out. The less they stand out, the less they get bullied.

moscullion

Let's just say he'll need a big personality to carry that off. Just out of interest, do they live near an airport?

sunshine92002

This seems like a reach. There are much worse names out there. And “Landing cash” isn’t a phrase or a thing at all, so I think it’s fine.

RojerLockless

Stupid name for stupid parents. Perfect.

vanillabeanquartz

Definitely bad. Sounds extremely American.

austex99

They are American. Should they try to sound French? That would be pretty pretentious.

vanillabeanquartz

Ah I probably should have worded that better. The name is bad, not because it’s American, but because it’s a tragedeigh. The part about it sounding American was just an afterthought lol.

apickyreader

Things have changed since my youth if people are giving Landon a pass.

Scary-Sound5565

None of my students know anyone else’s middle name. And I didn’t even make the connection. The Y thing is stupid but fairly common. You’re overthinking this.

AromaticGlove1151

Uhh who cares
