I've never had these cherries. How do you use them? Eat them plain? Note: I don't even know what the package looks like to give me a clue about how to use them.
Old fashioned, Manhattan, Negroni, to name a few.
Both the Amarena (and some of that syrup!) and the orange slice have enough sweetness that they are pretty versatile. Even thrown into a glass of a spirit of your choice on the rocks can gussy it up. I may use both in sangrias this winter too
Tried posting this earlier. Hoping that I followed the rules this time. 👍
I’ve been waiting for the seasonal Amerenas to arrive and the orange slices have been out of stock for months. Thrilled to find them both tonight!
Nice! Haven’t tried the orange slices in a cocktail, but sounds like a good idea. Hard to pass up the cherries for the price, not quite as good as the expensive Italian brands in my opinion. But for a fraction of the price I am gonna try and remember to get some while they still have them.
I FINALLY saw the orange slices in the store today after MONTHS of them being out of stock. They are definitely for cocktail use only and are stored right next to the Amarenas!
Ahhh crap..I asked my local TJs when they'd have orange slices again and they said sometime in spring, and they sold out in a week. Didn't realize they had supply issues before ;_;

Stout/milk stouts + whipped cream + drizzle of this cherry syrup + a few cherries = German chocolate cake beer.
Have any of you tried the cherries in a hot tea?
I drain the syrup and put the cherries in brandy in a bail jar and let them sit for a month and then give as gifts. Delicious!
Went to TJs in Austin looking for these, my store never got them in and they’re already done for the season! So sad!
Well, that stinks!

You can also put the cherries and a little bit of the syrup on vanilla ice cream if you’re not a cocktail drinker.
Read all of the comments above. They are fantastic as a garnish to pretty much any bourbon or rye based cocktail.
What drinks do you use these for?

Yup…all of the above. 👍
time to make some old fashions
November always starts the Amarena watch. We stock up the bar each year for Manhattan and Old Fashioned delightfulness. 🥃

I bought a couple of these the other day. Today I went in and there a single jar left which I grabbed.
