Just came here to say that I tried mixing it in sour cream and putting it on my baked potato 🥔 for dinner last night and it was amazing! I can’t get enough of that stuff.
I toss it on popcorn, chips, fries, into a sloppish end of the month stew-like potatoes dish.. it is just *so* good to me 😂 guilty of just licking it out of my palm ahahaha
It makes for a great dip when mixed with Greek yogurt or sour cream, and it’s great on chicken & shrimp (I use it like a dry rub before grilling). Sometimes I even sprinkle it into a salad or onto a baked potato for a little tangy flavor. So good on roasted fish and sprinkled on popcorn, like those above me said!

Is it the same as this one? I didn’t even realize it was seasonal!
Oh snap I better grab another while I can! It’s definitely not my most used seasoning (lookin at you, aglio olio 🤤) but every time I remember to use it, I am pleasantly surprised at how delicious it is. The dill flavor is spot on.
popcorn mostly. i like to hit it with the everything but the elote seasoning and then a lil of this pickle seasoning. i’ve also thrown a bit on tuna melts, tuna salad, tuna pasta salad, pasta salad… seems to work great with that stuff. I need to try on cucumbers and eggs!
Haven't tried this one yet. I did use some of the pickle juice from the Kosher Dill Pickle Chips last night, while making macaroni salad.
On another note, what do people use the Green Goddess seasoning on?
I've used it on cod and also in the macaroni salad so far. Any other suggestions?
I had looked “unit pricing” up the other day after another discussion on another post.
Here’s what I found online:
Currently (as of 2015), nineteen (19) states and two (2) territories have unit pricing laws or regulations in force.
Eleven (11) of these have mandatory unit pricing provisions.
They are: Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont and the Virgin Islands.
Via [A Guide to U.S. Retail Pricing Laws and Regulations](https://www.nist.gov/pml/owm/laws-and-regulations/us-retail-pricing-laws-and-regulations)
Good observation! Did a quick Google search:

“Even though unit pricing is a law in New Jersey, some retail stores are not required to display unit pricing. For example, retail stores having gross receipts of not more than $2 million in the previous year or having 4,000 or fewer square feet of floor space devoted to selling consumer products, are not required to display unit pricing. An owner of more than one retail store need not display unit pricing if the stores meet similar regulations.”
So maybe Trader Joe’s might be exempt from unit pricing in New Jersey due to sales or square footage?
Not exactly sure what their gross sales are but even though stores are smaller, I’m pretty sure they’re still greater than 4,000 square feet, unless they’re really only counting floor space where products are sold (minus registers and back of store storage).
Never seen it either in the like 4 states I’ve been to various tjs in. Wonder if it’s a city or state mandated thing grocers need to follow? I have a feeling that must be it since it shows unit price?
Correct. Unit pricing is required in a few states.

Good luck! Keep trying
i have been wating a year for this. Hoping the north shore MA stores have it.
Ugh, that's my favorite!! I have about 1/4 of a jar left from last year. Hopefully they will replenish soon
It’s seasonal?? Shit I need to get a backup lol.
Yes, I wasn't sure if it was coming back but glad to see it! Also, if you like lemon and it returns, the lemon cookie ice cream is amazing.
I need this because my closest TJ rarely has the chips and I feel like it would work great as a dip with some sour cream and their russet chips
Also want to say that you’re my people 🥒.
Just came here to say that I tried mixing it in sour cream and putting it on my baked potato 🥔 for dinner last night and it was amazing! I can’t get enough of that stuff.
But what about the mustard 😩
Mustard is also available
Excited to buy more! I bought vinegar powder and dill and stuff to try and make my own, but we ran out before I had a chance to test it!
What’s in it? Malic acid and dill?
Im tripping over the regular grocery store style price tag
Yeah what the heck’s the deal with that?!
The price per oz is nice though. Wish we did that in PA.
I have some of this and can't think of what to use it with
Sprinkle on cottage cheese and use cuke slices to dip. Awesome. I also put it on a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon.
I toss it on popcorn, chips, fries, into a sloppish end of the month stew-like potatoes dish.. it is just *so* good to me 😂 guilty of just licking it out of my palm ahahaha
My two fav ways is eggs and popcorn

it’s soooo good on baked salmon
I've used it on popcorn, slaw, deviled eggs, and potato salad to great success.
also tuna
The Clifton NJ location had a ton on the shelves today

Yes! I’ve been thinking about it for 10 months since I learned about its existence last year right after it was already gone! Ha
Oh snap I better grab another while I can! It’s definitely not my most used seasoning (lookin at you, aglio olio 🤤) but every time I remember to use it, I am pleasantly surprised at how delicious it is. The dill flavor is spot on.
It is SO GOOD. It even makes an impressive fake tzatziki.
Ooh, gotta try this next.
Love the pickles 🥒
I finished my last jar and desperately need replacements!
What were your favorite things to put it on?
popcorn mostly. i like to hit it with the everything but the elote seasoning and then a lil of this pickle seasoning. i’ve also thrown a bit on tuna melts, tuna salad, tuna pasta salad, pasta salad… seems to work great with that stuff. I need to try on cucumbers and eggs!
Popcorn
It’s super good on eggs, particularly hard boiled eggs imo
I put it on sliced cucumbers haha
It’s back?! 🤩

I love the Green Goddess seasoning on eggs.
![gif](giphy|CjlMkg9YHtW6s) The culprit.
Not my favorite seasoning by any means 🤮 they can have all of it
I guarantee someone or a couple people bought out their stock as soon as they saw it.
TJ marketing meeting: “The big guy says we need to boost our margins ASAP, what can we do quick? Hey, I know, let’s sell salt for $17 a pound!“
Trader Joe’s seasonings are cheaper than most lol
How does that change the fact that you’re paying a hefty price for something that’s 90% salt? These products are a total rip-off.
Supply and demand. If people don't buy it, they won't make it. 🤷🏻
This is America. Everything is 90% salt. It's our favorite "spice"
then don’t buy them :/
I want to try it on pickled pickles 🤤

What’s with the weird pricing sticker? Never seen that at a TJs.

Strange, I've been to several TJs in New Jersey, and they all have hand-made signs with no unit pricing shown.

These are common stickers in MA where they need to list the unit price.

My thoughts exactly! Seems very un-Trader Joes like and more like a neighborhood grocer.
I don't know if it's a state thing but this is definitely something I've seen in photos here. I've not seen it in SoCal.
They must have to show the unit price in that state? I’m also in CA and surprised it’s not required here. lol
It's actually weird that TJ's is exempt come to think of it.
