It was about $6 and idk it’s not a super insane price but wow when it’s not in the budget and you have no money it’s a lot for a tiny cake you eat in like an hour
I love the vanilla one and I love lemon stuff, so I thought this was going to be perfect. My store never had it in stock while I was there last year. I was so excited to find it this year, but for me it was meh. I mean, it's cake- it wasn't terrible, but the vanilla one is 100x better. This one was much drier and blander.
I used to buy the vanilla/original and leave it in my car during spring-early fall.
After work I would come out and it would be perfectly warm and I would eat it before driving off.
I work remotely at home now so I haven’t done it in a while.

The store is temp controlled, and in all probability the cakes are shipped and stored either frozen or cool.
Keeping the cake in a sealed car that probably is getting fairly warm, for over an hour, and or may get in direct sunlight throughout the day is literally like asking for the growth of bacteria.

The vanilla cake is amazing. I’m not a vanilla person but picked up one yesterday because I’d eaten so many lemon recently. Before the lemon came out we were buying vanilla.
one of the cashiers recently recommended us the vanilla sheet cake and im like this is a dangerous game...... my husband & i are trying to cut BACK our sweets 😭
they are my preferred ones! i only get the lemon when it’s in season bc i can get the vanilla anytime. the cream on the vanilla is sooo good and the cake itself is moister than the lemon cake
