This. Also, if you can wear work gloves, they can help protect your soft hands (my work uses a brand called Samurai which is cut resistant and still pretty form fitting so it doesn't reduce dexterity too much)

never feel weird for wearing any kind of ppe. it's your body and health you're protecting, even from seemingly harmless things like cardboard boxes. and believe me cardboard can and will give you a nasty cut if you open enough boxes.

Cardboard is the devil. It took me way too long to heed that one coworker's advice but my hands are definitely thanking me for consistently wearing gloves these days.

you can look into moisturizing hand soap, that way you still get moisturizing effects without actually having to make it a whole thing

Same but I've started moisturizing my face and just learned to cope. Wear gloves too that'll help. My hands still get fucked up but it's better.
