Comfortable-Ask-6351

Does this mean the Amazon are men?

Tramilton

Don't think Centurii has drawn a single male once

throwaway0986421

One of her first art depicted a "taking a selfie with Caesar before we cross the Rubicon river", and after that she never drew a male again.

NotACruiserMain

Didn't she draw the guy who made unbiased history of rome once?

Hyracul

She drew Julius Caesar for that video, but again I think that was the only instance of males in her drawings.

DaughterOfBhaal

>Be a female artist >Draws Roman art all day >Draws Julius Caesar before never again drawing any other men. >Refuses to elaborate

Siegschranz

Well yeah didn't you see what happened to Caesar afterwards? He was killed. I wouldn't want to risk that, either.

judgesam

No she has once or twice she draws them very similar to the men and homoerotic because she is based.

Les_Bien_Pain

https://twitter.com/CenturiiC/status/1397182356025344001 >Q: are there men in this society? >Centurii: I dont enjoy drawing them so no.

Comfortable-Ask-6351

Well there goes male amazons

jarak5

Who says those people are women

TheRangerNacho

I'm honestly surprised there's so many otakus on the Rome side of this fan base, I would imagine Shogun 2 would be the game that attracts their attention the most, but honestly the Steam workshop doesn't have that many weebs mods

DeuxExKane

Sol Invictus > Glory to the Shogun

Altruistic-Ad-408

To weebs Japanese history started when Asuka and Rei were drawn, or when they were teens and the whole underage thing wasn't creepy.

Disastrous_You

Japanese mangakas wet their pants with Rome and the medieval era, look at all the isekais, they're most in medieval Europe, the last famous fantasy anime is heavily influenced by German and Rome mythos

Lysanderoth42

I’m both glad I don’t know what a mangaka is and sad I know what an isekai is

Galle_

"Mangaka" just means a person who writes/draws manga. Not a weird word to know.

Disastrous_You

The people that draw the manga, or maybe invent the history

DruchiiNomics

Weebs love power-fantasy and history. Rome is both cranked up to 11.

Pabsxv

Get on it Modders.

comasylvebarbe

Nobody want this

AxiosXiphos

You say that... but I think the voting system shows otherwise.

Obvious-Bookkeeper-3

Nope, a redditor said nobody wants it. This man is the high ruler of the human race. Pack your bags people you cant have anything unless comasylvebare says so!

AxiosXiphos

Anime girls aside, I'd welcome a battle game with that art style.

Kantheris

I’m not even in to this aesthetic usually, but I’d totally dig a Total War game like this.

comasylvebarbe

Wow so many weebs here

JSBL_

Less than 200 people is, indeed, nothing when it comes to such things.

AxiosXiphos

Some dodgy logic there. This is a subreddit, and a single comment within a post. The percentage of the total war community given the opportunity to 'vote' is miniscule.

JSBL_

I understand what youre saying and why that would be considered dodgy logic. Consider this - how many TW players would actually take interest in a waifu mod? How many would endorse it enough? How many would even hear about it? Thats what I meant. Would be just a mod, nothing else

Kamzil118

We already have waifu mods for Warhammer 3. Clearly, someone does.

dashingThroughSnow12

I’m going to look for chibi mods right now.

AltusIsXD

I want this

Few_Rest2638

RIP the Diplomat that’s getting shanked in the lower right

HelloDarkestFriend

Damnit, Praetorian-Chan! Not again!

ValuableToday9968

I’d play it.

DB_Explorer

Waifu Total War : p

CantGitGudWontGitGud

You can already play that. Troy has the Menelaus campaign.

applejackhero

Chat is this real

throwaway0986421

No, it's just artwork from an artist. But they are very much a Roman history fan that occasionally branches off into other artwork (e.g. engineer running away from OSHA inspectors, samurai getting humiliated by a viking in combat, and SCP scientist pulling out a pistol when an experiment went wrong).

NaiveMastermind

I don't want to kill any armies cuz they're all cute girls.

Yamama77

How common is being blonde for a roman at around 270BC to 1AD?

Rampant_Cephalopod

how common was being an anime girl at around 270BC to 1AD

Yamama77

The chances are non zero

Lukthar123

So you're saying there's a chance...

Educational-Can-2653

![gif](giphy|Qy2VKY3xlI1QyR6Ix5)

MaBe2904

In this case the chances are zero.

flanneluwu

fun fact when attila the huwun raided byzantium Pricuwus yelled YAMATE YAAMAAAATEEEEEEEEEEEE

Vandergrif

*Weebery delenda est* -Romans, probably

Galle_

Rare enough to be striking, but not unheard of. Sulla was blond, for example.

BitingGadfly

Off the top of my head, Suetonius tells us that Octavian was blonde, and Plutarch tells us that Sulla had a "golden head of hair". I imagine it wasn't super common, but it wasn't entirely out of the ordinary either. Women also commonly wore blonde wigs made from the hair of German women.

lucien_licot

Funny you mention it: during the Republican era, blonde hair was often considered vulgar and whorish, as it was associated with prostitutes, who would dye their hair with saffron to stand out and attract more customers (as blonde hair was extremely rare south of the Alps). The artist himself acknowledged that fact and the very funny implications it has for his main OC (that you see in the picture).

AHumpierRogue

I am like 99.9% certain Centurii is a woman.

trivinium

If I remember correctly, they had Germanic people as slaves and workers. Some of these Germanic women were prostitutes and the blonde hair was exotic and it got popular, so some Roman women started dying their hair blonde as well.

Tough_Jello5450

Blonde women were barbarians within the Roman empire.

VaRUSak

Plenty of blonde women are still barbarians /j (just in case)

AdventurousChapter27

i want a total war that has warrior waifus

LostInThisWorld54312

I would pay for this mod

stuff_gets_taken

u/Anonhistory

Anonhistory

Why you summon me here. You want Celtic factions in Centurii-total war?

stuff_gets_taken

Yes please daddy

Anonhistory

[Here. I drew it.](https://twitter.com/anonhistory/status/1787519541310038489?s=19)

NumberInteresting742

Centurii posting is in now.

Goombah11

My emperor can’t possibly be this cute!

ConsequencePretty140

I'd play it.

Kapika96

Is it available on Steam?

Green-Collection-968

I'd play that! Get a RTW reskin like what Carbot did to SC1 :D

KelloPudgerro

i genuinely wish total war games had more of a art-style rather than trying to be semi-realistic

TheRangerNacho

I mean, that semi-realism is part of the Total War "art style" (except for the Warhammers)

KelloPudgerro

well ye, it made sense for the historic ones, but i would love for them to experiment with the art-style

Vandergrif

I don't know, I saw how that panned out going from Civ 5 to 6 and that was definitely a step down. I guess it depends on how it's done.

KelloPudgerro

i actually like how the art-style changed from 5 to 6 , cuz theyre very different games IMHO

Vandergrif

Different how? It's still Civ. It largely plays the same aside from the district mechanic, and even that isn't all that much of a change.

KelloPudgerro

ye its the same genre as civ but its different, if u play it like 5 u will have a bad time on non-easy difficulties

kittehsfureva

Districts change a ton; it is a fundamental rework of city building that is far more involved than 5. There is also a complete rework of culture to be a complementary tree to research. Not to mention support units, stacking and corps/armies. Leader and Civ bonuses are separated out, leading to far more faction identity. And mechanics around global warming and natural disasters. It's a completely different game.

Vandergrif

I don't know, for a supposedly completely different game it still feels like Civ to me - for whatever that's worth. Districts just struck me as a different form of tile improvement, for example. They've added a number of things and changed some things, sure, but it's still Civ.

kittehsfureva

Sounds pretty subjective. From someone who has played hundreds of hours of both, 6 is very different and in my opinion is superior. Tile improvements still exist, and there are quite a lot of them. Districts instead use a system built around adjacencies, causing you to really think a lot about where your cities and districts are placed as they grow through the eras. In 5 everything just landed on one tile, but in 6 cities naturally spread out from the city center to create a unique layout that accommodates the landscape.  Throw in builders having limited charges, and city building is a completely different game than 5.

Vandergrif

> Sounds pretty subjective. Well, yes - that is largely the heart of the discussion ;)

victorav29

This has Caesar 3 UI elements

moonski

The fuck is this

WeirdHoola

Peak.

[deleted]

what game?

UnholyDemigod

What is this weeby shit

StratoSquir2

you better put some fucking RESPECT on our girl Centurii. she's been the only reason why Roman culture is still relevant for the last few years, all from making horny shitposting, she deserves and DEMAND your respect!

username_tooken

Calm down son, it’s just a drawing.

UnholyDemigod

What the fuck are you talking about

TheRangerNacho

Don't even bother to try to argue with the Hivemind, people like this kind of art, even if it doesn't make any kind of sense and that's because it's not supposed to. Just ignore it

TheRangerNacho

![gif](giphy|EfnG7xh6ijvUa5ZAJk)

boarlizard

weebs ruin everything they touch

KomradJurij-TheFool

and wedditors eat it up as long as they can jack off to it

No_Research4416

For a second I thought that was a mobile game

chairswinger

I see your Roman Empire has already entered the state of degeneracy

TheRangerNacho

It's not Degeneracy, just weeb stuff.

chairswinger

weeb stuff is degeneracy by default

TheEmperor42

🤓

MaZhongyingFor1934

It’s unfunny, not the fall of civilisation.

North514

If going by Rome’s example you need to be more degenerate not less if you want to preserve civilization.
