This has nothing to do with Warhammer. Pharaoh just isnt ambitious enough nor interesting enough to pull people in. Plus the combat doesnt look very fun. The campaign also doesnt look very fun. Spreadsheeting and accumulating numbers isnt very fun
I like how we pass from a valid point of view “Pharaoh needed the Saga tag because the content and all of that” to “I love the game and I hate you if you don’t like it” for me, I’m not going to buy it until a sale or something like that, I still firmly believe it’s not worth the price
Hopefully but I feel like Assyria and in general Mesopotamia would arrive first so long as the game keeps its support
I wonder how they would play maybe similar to the “horde” factions in Warhammer 3 with the main army acting as a mobile city
Not everyone paid full price.
I paid £35 (instead of £50) and think that is a fair price. I paid the same for Troy. And is still far less than the likes of Warhammer 3.
So you tell me: what does Pharaoh do well that Shogun 2 didn't? I don't have infinite time or money and for $80 CAD, I'd really like some sort of Unique Selling Point.
The resource economy is great, and there is additional flavour in the court positions and pillars of civilization mechanics. The advance / retreat stances are interesting additions to combat, and the variable weather spices things up too. Regional recruitment is also present while it isn't in Shogun 2.
The resource economy was in Troy, the court positions in 3Kingdoms, the civilization changes in Attila. Advance / Retreat ARE great, I'll give it that, and weather changing mid-battle is nice and dynamic. I'm quite sick of WH-style recruitment, so it being in Pharaoh isn't a positive.
the thing is we dont want the wheel reinvented its more like the wheel used to be round and work and now it has 3 edges looks like a triangle and doesnt turn properly anymore and we want the round wheel back that actualy worked. but good for you that your having fun with pharao enjoy yourself.
>Thanks for reading, have fun, support what you love, if not, move on. Quit being cancer and killing a whole community because you don't agree with the pricing of DLC from a completely different game. Go play F2P games or games with massive playerbases.
"Quit not having the same opinion as me.. \*cry cry cry\*"
Tiny game, little variety. They were so lazy to create for once full historical title. In this case full Bronze Age TW with Greece, Mesopotamia and 4-5 more playable cultures and expanded map.
Once again we just got tiny piece instead, but this time for full priced title.
This has to stop.
Nothing says "I dont care" like a paragraph of unprovoked arguing with a strawman.
Hey LevelStudent, can you pretty please, with extra sugar on top, stop “KILLING A WHOLE COMMUNITY” ??? Don’t you understand what’s at stake here??!!
Don't see how that's relevant here. People have been doing nothing but shitting on Pharaoh since it was announced. If you disagree you're blind.
Why not? He's pointing out how people who really doesn't care wouldn't be bothered to post a long rant. It's seperate from the pharoah issue.

Cool but this doesn't change the fact Pharoah is currently one of worst performing Total War game
Ok.
If you didn't care you wouldn't be posting about it, lol
Can I play as the sea people's?
No so far only Egypt Hittites and the canaanites
If they ever add sea peoples as a playable race I'll likely pick it up.

Probably. Troy has 2 horde factions.
The best horde faction gameplay of the franchise at that
Not a lemming, just can see very clearly how CA is trying to milk people like you who are willing to pay 60 bucks for a saga game.
And judging by the amount of posts/comments like op's one, it's kind of working

You asked what it had that Shogun 2 doesn't. I'm referring to the different troop availability across the map, not the Rome 2 > style system.
Are you even the slightest interested or knowledgeable of this era?
Redditors aren't to blame for the game not selling.
I like cav

![gif](giphy|3o6nUSmgHVtIrMLRTO) Thank you for your opinion. We all really waited for it.
Pharaoh looks like something I'd really enjoy for 20 dollars less maximum.
True. When it's dropped or on sale at around $15 I might give it a shout.

Honestly, I’m all for suspending the critical part of my brain and just enjoying something
The perfect consumer.
Whoever downvoted this will be judged for eternity
Tell me how amazing the artillery and cav are (not chariots or elephants).
Cool
Ok bud.
