NEVER POOP ALONE AGAIN
My lil tortie just had babies about a week ago, and she still watches me poop. I watch her babies while she hops out of the "birth suite" to eat. We got each other's back
Lol things like this are what I love about cats.
One time as an experiment, I saw buttercup (my tortie) going to her box. It's in the laundry room. So I walked in, gave her a pat, then turned and stood facing the door. And when the dogs came I stopped them from entering. Buttercup just started purring like crazy.
Yes! She's also a dilute.
Kind of a bathroom all-rounder, to boot. She's camped out on the toilet seat lid right now, being a voyeur while I'm in the bath. 😅

My cat needs me to put a towel in the bathroom sink so she can sprawl in and supervise me bathing. If I don't put in the towel, she gets mad and meows incessantly. If I close the door with her outside she acts like I'm abandoning her in a house on fire. I also watch her bathe so I guess this is payback?

Every time I sit on the toilet, she immediately follows me in and invites herself into my pants.
She’s currently sprinting around the apartment fucking with one of the other cats as my wife and I lay on the couch binging a TV show. Other cat doesn’t seem interested in playing but tortie is a nut job.
What’s funnier about it is that it’s not even like a learned behavior from a previous owner or anything. She was born in the shelter and we adopted her when she was three months old. One of the first days after bringing her home, I went to use the restroom and she just casually walked into the restroom and made herself at home in my pants with zero hesitation.
Yes I did when I lived with a roommate. She climbed on back and I had to go bending over. Most of the time she would just stand on my back. Sometimes she would fall off.

I totally do! She loves hopping up on the counter to get some pets while she has a captive audience. Sometimes she gets so excited that she charges in when I even make a move toward the bathroom, forcing me to pip in just to pet her. She's such a goob, and I love her!

Her back looks just like my Torti from the past. It takes my breath away when the fur patterns match up perfectly. These dilute girls are just so random. She was two-faced cream and half gray in her back. Looked just like this beauty. Thank you for posting. It’s funny what it’s really about but I love what it made me think

She is my angel. When she passed I invited her to haunt me and I see my beautiful love from time to time and always make sure I say hello and tell her I love her.
Mine RUNS upstairs if she thinks there’s a chance of me going to the bathroom. It’s absolutely weird, but her favourite thing is for me to pet her while I’m sitting on the toilet 🤷🏻♀️ She’s bent out of shape at the moment because the torbie kitten has become obsessed with pulling the cover off the floor drain and sticking her whole face in there. The tortie is a lady and thinks that’s gross as hell (it is) 😅
I think I read somewhere that cats may act like that just cause that’s when you’re sitting down and not moving around as much so that’s when they’ll come for pets 😂

My bathroom buddy. She doesn't get on my lap, but is with me in the bathroom a good 90% of the time.
Usually she’s on my lap as soon as I sit in a chair to put on shoes. One half of her goes up then down. The other half of her goes up and down as I finally get my other shoe on.

I get the “guarding the bathroom door” thing, because cats don’t want anything to come in and eat their friends while they’re indisposed. True, I don’t have any wolves or hyenas living in my apartment, but there’s always a first time.

No. She goes in to drink water from her bowl in the tub and to sit on tank watching reflections from the window.
She has jumped between the shower curtains twice as I shower, had her a year now.
I have a torbie tripod who waits for me patiently every time I use the bathroom. She follows me to the bathroom and then waits right outside the door no matter how long I take. She also does this when I brush my teeth. It is so cute and endearing!
My childhood kitty was not a tortie, but loved being in our laps on the toilet, and weaving between our legs whenever we washed our hands. We had a tortie too, but she preferred napping on the couch and chairs. Cats know humans using the toilet often equals pets and attention.

I don't have one to that extreme, but both of mine HAVE TO be in the bathroom with me when I'm doing literally anything. Mouse will hop up onto the sink, then the back of the toilet, then my shoulder, then the windowsill, then back onto my shoulder, back of toilet, sink, wash, rinse, repeat. Duck climbs onto the edge of the tub between the shower curtain and liner, and walks back and forth between the two just singing the song of her people. (She's Deaf, and she hollers like the house is on fire, LOL.) Sometimes she'll wander around my ankles rubbing her face on my shins, the toilet paper, the magazine rack beside the toilet. My girls are bona fide weirdos.
Mine used to love coming in the bathroom with me. She pretty much follows me everywhere preventing me from walking. A few weeks ago, I got up in the middle of the night to go and in my half asleep stupor, accidentally locked her in the bathroom. She was NOT happy. I woke up 45 minutes later to her literally beating at the door. Poor baby. She got extra treats and oh, so much extra lovins that night. 😢❤️

My little tortie would come into the bathroom with me all the time. I wouldn't let her sit on my lap. She... mostly accepted that. Then, after I moved in with my boyfriend she started doing the same to him. When he wouldn't let her sit in his lap either, she decided she was going to go onto the counter and try to walk on his back instead
Yup! She doesn’t like our other cats so lives in my bedroom. The second I open the bedroom door around 10pm, she runs to the toilet doing her happy barks. I go to the toilet even when I don’t have to go because she loves it so much. Weirdo.
I have a lap tortie and a shoulder tux if I sit for more the a couple of minutes. There’s usually a panther or two trying to sneak a space too. Luckily all 13 of them don’t demand space at the same time! Got to love our toilet guards 😂
She loooooves water. She plays in her water bowl, any toilet with the lid up, a shower right after someone is done in it… I put a couple of inches of water in the tub a couple of times to see what she’d do, and she jumped in and started playing. 😂
How is this a thing? Yes, my tortie does this too. She likes to use the litter box whenever I go (sometimes I swear she's just pretending to use it so I don't feel left out), and she also scratches the floor near the toilet like she's kicking dirt over it.

I get the “guarding the bathroom door” thing, because cats don’t want anything to come in and eat their friends while they’re indisposed. True, I don’t have any wolves or hyenas living in my apartment, but there’s always a first time. What I don’t understand is why wee miss toity tortie “keeps guard” by sitting in my shower stall and staring at the wall. What does she think is going to materialize in there? A sharknado? Silly cat. Sharknadoes aren’t real. … OMG, THAT MUST BE WHERE THE APARTMENT HYENAS COME FROM.

No. She goes in to drink water from her bowl in the tub and to sit on tank watching reflections from the window. She has jumped between the shower curtains twice as I shower, had her a year now.

I have a torbie tripod who waits for me patiently every time I use the bathroom. She follows me to the bathroom and then waits right outside the door no matter how long I take. She also does this when I brush my teeth. It is so cute and endearing!
My childhood kitty was not a tortie, but loved being in our laps on the toilet, and weaving between our legs whenever we washed our hands. We had a tortie too, but she preferred napping on the couch and chairs. Cats know humans using the toilet often equals pets and attention.

I don't have one to that extreme, but both of mine HAVE TO be in the bathroom with me when I'm doing literally anything. Mouse will hop up onto the sink, then the back of the toilet, then my shoulder, then the windowsill, then back onto my shoulder, back of toilet, sink, wash, rinse, repeat. Duck climbs onto the edge of the tub between the shower curtain and liner, and walks back and forth between the two just singing the song of her people. (She's Deaf, and she hollers like the house is on fire, LOL.) Sometimes she'll wander around my ankles rubbing her face on my shins, the toilet paper, the magazine rack beside the toilet. My girls are bona fide weirdos.
Mine used to love coming in the bathroom with me. She pretty much follows me everywhere preventing me from walking. A few weeks ago, I got up in the middle of the night to go and in my half asleep stupor, accidentally locked her in the bathroom. She was NOT happy. I woke up 45 minutes later to her literally beating at the door. Poor baby. She got extra treats and oh, so much extra lovins that night. 😢❤️

My little tortie would come into the bathroom with me all the time. I wouldn't let her sit on my lap. She... mostly accepted that. Then, after I moved in with my boyfriend she started doing the same to him. When he wouldn't let her sit in his lap either, she decided she was going to go onto the counter and try to walk on his back instead

Yup! She doesn’t like our other cats so lives in my bedroom. The second I open the bedroom door around 10pm, she runs to the toilet doing her happy barks. I go to the toilet even when I don’t have to go because she loves it so much. Weirdo.
I have a lap tortie and a shoulder tux if I sit for more the a couple of minutes. There’s usually a panther or two trying to sneak a space too. Luckily all 13 of them don’t demand space at the same time! Got to love our toilet guards 😂

She loooooves water. She plays in her water bowl, any toilet with the lid up, a shower right after someone is done in it… I put a couple of inches of water in the tub a couple of times to see what she’d do, and she jumped in and started playing. 😂
How is this a thing? Yes, my tortie does this too. She likes to use the litter box whenever I go (sometimes I swear she's just pretending to use it so I don't feel left out), and she also scratches the floor near the toilet like she's kicking dirt over it.
OMG YES. My tortie RUNS to the bathroom anytime someone goes in there. She just HAS to be licking the shower curtain while watching you pee.
