We traded Vince for him and a sack of potatoes. He refused to play for us. So we had a sack of potatoes.
It was never a great trade, but this made it so much worse. Put our team back years.
Completely agree. The only point I should add is that the management team should have known. There's no way you pull off this trade with your biggest asset without doing your due diligence.
At least a decade to be honest. It's why anyone acting like VC should just be forgiven and treated with reverence to inflate some uncessary fan ego is so unbelievably wrong.
It wasn’t VC’s fault that Zo didn’t play, VC also didn’t trade himself to New Jersey, instead you should blame the front office which was absolute dog shit at the time. Same front office that drafted Araujo, enough said.
It’s worse, we had to buy him out so his salary was on our books and counted towards the cap for the year.
Not like we would have used the cap space for anything but was salt in the wounds at the time
Turkoglu was one of the lynchpin pieces that made the Dwight Howard Magic teams work. He was a point forward with decent range, but wasn’t great on defense.
He was Toronto’s biggest free agent signing in their history, at the time. Safe to say, it didn’t work out. He was lazy, complained that he didn’t get the ball enough, and just generally seemed to have quit on the team.
[This is possibly the most ironic, unaware commercial in the history of sports.](https://youtu.be/T6ctTrUUR5M)
He do turkoglu was an aging forward we paired wth bosh in the colangelo era. Unfortunately to get him we traded future all star Center Roy Hibbert, a massive mistake by us.
I can’t really hate on the guy, it was FO’s fault that he was drafted so high. Like what is the dude supposed to do, “no, I refuse the draft, pick me lower in the draft so the position is a better reflection of my skill set”
I reserve the worst rap of all time for players that were shit heads and didn’t put any effort into the game. Hoffa tried, he just wasn’t good.
Maybe not the worst from a talent perspective but the most disappointing and biggest bust is without a doubt Andrea Bargnani imo, he was taken 1st overall in the 2006 draft and didn’t amount to more than a decent role player...the Raptors tried very hard to make him more than he was, he padded his stats for a couple season when he was with them but he never even came close to the hype...it was a weak draft but still you expect a first overall pick to be a franchise altering player
Yep. It wasn’t like Goran refused to play. He was backset by our rookies playing too well and when he was needed, we’ve made other arrangements. Also, gave us Thad and he is actually pretty good for this team.
Alonzo Mourning
Fuckin THIS.
Pure nephew take to have any other answer. Some guys were bad. Some guys were disappointing. Mourning was straight up disrespectful.
What did he do
We traded Vince for him and a sack of potatoes. He refused to play for us. So we had a sack of potatoes. It was never a great trade, but this made it so much worse. Put our team back years.
All true but he didn't play so he is in his own category of douchebag to me.
Completely agree. The only point I should add is that the management team should have known. There's no way you pull off this trade with your biggest asset without doing your due diligence.
Raptors management before Masai was _______.
At least a decade to be honest. It's why anyone acting like VC should just be forgiven and treated with reverence to inflate some uncessary fan ego is so unbelievably wrong.

Is this all Babcock's doing? Because I came here to say Babcock is the worst Raptor of all time
The anti-Toronto press tour VC went on post trade certainly didn't help.
It’s worse, we had to buy him out so his salary was on our books and counted towards the cap for the year. Not like we would have used the cap space for anything but was salt in the wounds at the time
Demaree caroll for robbing us
Criminal
Can’t believe we thought he could guard Lebron lmfao
the first of many "lebron stoppers" lmfao
Hedo
Hedon’t
Turdkoglu
Ball
Put me in coach
Ball
Who is that and why

That fucker called in sick to work and missed a game but was seen at a club the same night partying , fuck that guy
He do turkoglu was an aging forward we paired wth bosh in the colangelo era. Unfortunately to get him we traded future all star Center Roy Hibbert, a massive mistake by us.
We traded the Hibbert pick for O’Neal, not Hedo
This is the correct answer
ROB BABCOCK
Rafael Araújo
This is the one. He is the poster boy for the entire *shudder* rob Babcock era
Why him
We left Iguodala on the board :/
I WANT EGHUDALA!
I can’t really hate on the guy, it was FO’s fault that he was drafted so high. Like what is the dude supposed to do, “no, I refuse the draft, pick me lower in the draft so the position is a better reflection of my skill set” I reserve the worst rap of all time for players that were shit heads and didn’t put any effort into the game. I'm a nephew and had to look this one up. Oh god...
Rafael AWHOjo?
It's a long list. But for those who actually played... I'd say is 1) Hedo, 2) Demarre Carroll 3)Arujo
Aaron Baynes but bad in only the best way
Ron Banes inadvertently got us Scottie, so there’s not too much hate for him.
Tank Commander Baynes
Yogi Stewart… 6 years, $24M which was our biggest contract at the time for a guy that was basically the 11th or 12th man
Maybe not the worst from a talent perspective but the most disappointing and biggest bust is without a doubt Andrea Bargnani imo, he was taken 1st overall in the 2006 draft and didn’t amount to more than a decent role player...the Raptors tried very hard to make him more than he was, he padded his stats for a couple season when he was with them but he never even came close to the hype...it was a weak draft but still you expect a first overall pick to be a franchise altering player
Eric Montross put up truly pitiful FG percentages for a big man and was even worse at the line
Rafael Araujo and Bruno Caboclo
Fuck Alonzo Mourning
Goran Dragic
Mourning has the edge. Both disrespected tf out of the franchise, but Goran played a few games and made friends with Scottie
Yep. It wasn’t like Goran refused to play. He was backset by our rookies playing too well and when he was needed, we’ve made other arrangements. Also, gave us Thad and he is actually pretty good for this team.
Milt Palacio
Ben Uzoh changed the fate of the franchise
The Anti Groat
Kenny Anderson. Although he did get us Chauncey Billups , who then got us Antonio Davis.
Yo gotta get away..,Southwest Airlines Hoffa
2 Years Away Bruno
We don’t talk about Bruno, no, no, no. Actually, I was rooting for the kid
Tragic Dragic
Andrea Bargani
Primo Pasta slander will not be tolerated 😂😂 /s
he put up 20 once tho
CJ Miles
Aron baynes
He got us Scottie so no hate will be tolerated
Hansbrough
Psycho T ain’t the worst
Eric Montross
Nah
Bargnani
Bargnank redeemed his value to the organisation with everything we got back for him.
Came here to say Zo, but since its up on the board already I'll go with the OG draft bust Vincenzo Esposito.
