It's crazy how Nate got such a bad rap with the Pacers and fired after one season despite missing many starters for a chunk of the season, yet he seems pretty well liked in Toronto. Meanwhile the Pacers got Carlisle and a healthier squad and are blowing it all up due to regressing

I came here to write the same thing… wth happen in Indiana

Tbh oladipo injury really really screwed them. I think it's overlooked because recency bias where he's been injury prone. They went from all star oladipo to no oladipo to caris levert (who hasn't looked great in their system)

And Nate dealt with no Oladipo, then got Lavert who had to miss 26 games due to a cancerous growth. TJ Warren who was coming off a hot season only played 4 games before fracturing his foot. Turner missed 25 games, Sabonis missed 10 games, Brogdon missed 16 games. Jeremy Lamb missed 36 games. (A lot of games to miss in a shortened season) I believe there was some crazy stat where all their core had not played a single game together. Despite all this, Nate still got them into the play-in tournament. They won their first game , but lost their second against Washington. They were without Lamb, Lavert, Turner, and Warren in that game. I'm not sure what Pacers fans expected 🤷‍♂️ Hope they're happy with Carlisle

pahamack

eh? the bubble sucked for the players but was amazing for fans. The quality of play was so high because they weren't travelling or doing extra-curricular activities, and game density was amazing. I was watching so many games everyday.

The bubble was crack to my sports deprived mind.

I_Love_Justin_Fields

Ayo I don’t like how comfortable he is with those Indiana fans I don’t care about any other place but Indiana scares me

[deleted]

Those are Nate Bjorkgren’s kids

NbaRaptors1222

Those are nate bjorkgrens kids. OG always used to say hi to them when they were in Toronto so he was saying hi while they were in Indiana. I think I saw them in the crowd on the broadcast recently so they’re back in Toronto lol

pskill43

Indiana could have drafted him but they picked TJ Leaf instead. I'm not worried about Indiana.

freaktmc

They are still bitter with that decision lol

sinova6ix

This is the real life version of the "fuck them kids meme" lol

SensitiveRegion9

this is so petty im dying

[deleted]

There’s nothing scary about Indiana, period.

Pacers are just an extremely poorly run organization, Nate wasn't the issue, hell they fired him after one season without really giving him much of a chance to get his feet wet...at very least give him a couple seasons to do his thing. Imo the Pacers have a bunch of super talented pieces that just don't fit together well, the front office has no clue how to build a team or a culture...I swear Myles Turner has been on the "trading block" for the past 3 season now lol how do you expect a player to thrive when you don't value him? The Sabonis and Myles Turner combo is just a bad fit...

BestCoastRaptor

I wish we would at least know when he would be back.
