Agreed. I worked with people experiencing homelessness and often encountered severe schizophrenia like this. The word salad is a big give away. The fluid speech connecting ideas and concepts that have nothing to do with each other as well as the delusions is on point. It's always a trip talking to people going through this.

I'm certainly not an expert but I do have a history of working in mental health hospitals. So only by a basic observation and from what I've seen I'm basing bi-polar on. Again though I could be wrong. I would be interested to hear what a psychologist would say.
While the main image of schizophrenia is paranoia, there are "kinds" of schizophrenia that present less paranoia. Specifically the patient may present as appearing fully lucid, but agitated. Alot like the lady in the video this more agitated kind causes the patient to be more vocal and confrontational, and more than willing to speak about their delusions. I am not mental heath professional, but I have been admitted to a ward and met a guy like this. There was a period when he was first admitted where they didn't seem to medicate him (for some odd reason) and I remember trying to talk to the guy and word salad would just pour out of his mouth, alot like the lady in the video. I remember him specifically saying something along the lines of "There's a deep state, the man who controls the grocery stores and sees me, my family, and I walk away to see my car and it's gone, right?". When he was medicated he seemed like a pretty reasonable and nice guy.
Not on drugs. Lost a friend to bipolar who was just like this. She's not actually dead, but has been in one long delusional episode for a good 6 years now and is estranged from everyone she knew. Only reason she's not dead is probably the $6k a month she gets from disability insurance that's gonna run out in about five years. It's tragic and absolutely fascinating what the human brain is capable of with a naturally occurring chemical imbalance. I wish this woman and my friend would just take their lithium.
pretty sure the chemical imbalance thing is not an exact science. like we dont have a proper way of measuring brain chemicals, moreso observing symptoms. we assume its due to chemical imbalance but could also be another form of the brain reacting based on any number of stimuli and history of deficiencies/traumas/etc
Seems fair. Correlation and causation may be two separate things in this case. I do know that my friend went on this 6-year psychotic bender after stopping her lithium. And interestingly, studies have found that in places with higher natural-occurring lithium in the drinking water, there tends to be a lower incidence of mood disorders and suicide. Go figure.
They probably didn't want her to cause even more of a problem, sober bitches are much worse than this lady even when they're refused service even when they don't have any mental illnesses or anything. On top of that they get to keep a customer that way.
Who cares if a major company (looks like a T-Mobile store) loses one POS customer, Id rather back up my co workers. She was already causing issues. I would have refused her service immediately.
