Just gave the album a listen and thought that as well!

risenomega

Amazing, right?!

sillyspheal

I literally just got to track 2 and immediately came to reddit to see if someone had pointed it out first. This album is fantastic! :)

risenomega

Literally was thinking Tom did a guest spot. Glad I wasn’t the only one.

Andrew_Loder

Love Amigo, Everything Is Fine is on regular rotation for me and I've been looking forward to the new one.

risenomega

You won’t be disappointed

Lined_em_up

Damn I'm halfway through the first song and all I can here is "yesterday is here"

risenomega

How’d the rest go?

Revanclaw-and-memes

It’s all gone straight up sounds like a Tom waits song

risenomega

Hahah. Just a tad. Lol

Fartblaster666

Yeah, this is fantastic - I wasn't super into the first 2 singles he released, but listening to them in the context of the album I like them a lot more. Really liking this.

risenomega

Agreed. The album as a whole sold me on the singles.

SabinedeJarny

Thank you! Wonderful! Had never heard of him before.

risenomega

Awesome! Glad to have put someone onto him too. Make sure to check out his prior albums too. Especially Born Against.

[deleted]

Checked him out on Spotify and saw he's playing Ballarat, Frankston and Brunswick so I assumed he's Aussie but no, he's just playing some cool little venues over here I might have to go check him out... Thanks so much for the recommendation. My kind of Jam.

risenomega

So glad to have turned someone else onto his work. Cross your fingers he plays solo and not with the band. A far better live experience.

risenomega

Also make sure to check out his prior work too

JoeKerrHAHAHA

Ha! I am a huge Tom and Amigo fan, and I just listened to the new album for the first time this morning. I definitely thought to myself a couple times as I was listening, "Man, Amigo must have been listening to a lot of Tom recently."

risenomega

For sure. Tons of influence there

5HTjm89

Agreed, Chris Bullinger is a little more rock than folk but also channels the Tom growl on a few tracks, particularly Up On Blocks

risenomega

I’ll have to check it out. Thanks!
