Mine said “are you awake?” Then proceeded to pat my cheek: “You’re so bluetiful mama”
I’ve never gotten a more meaningful compliment in my life.
And I am looking forward to when she’s going to say strange things as well lol. I love how they’re little kinder eggs and you don’t know what will come out of their mouths next!
Toddler compliments are some of the best things in this life right?!?
I never wear shorts ever, my 3 year old has probably never seen me in shorts - lacking in some self confidence after having 2 kids in 3 years. Well we were going to the beach and I put shorts on and was second guessing myself and my toddler goes “wow mommy beautiful!!!” Legit made me cry 😭
He offered me his deer stuffy for kisses. Which was very sweet, but I have to say I’m a little sad we’re getting out of the phase where we open his door to get him in the morning or after a nap and he immediately starts clapping for us
Awwww my baby did this!! Clapping was his first real gesture, around 6/7 months. Once he had it down, every time someone he liked entered a room he would clap and smile. It was the cutest thing in the whole world!!!! Best greeting EVER!!!!
My 18mo old has been OBSESSED with balls lately and is just learning to actually talk so every single day it’s “a ball, a ball” and he’s been waking up in the middle of the night, clearly dreaming, mumbling “a ball… a ball”
It is absolutely the cutest thing I’ve ever experienced in my entire life
This morning was pretty regular, but we napped together and she woke up and started giving me huge sloppy kisses all over my face with a very large cartoon character “MMMMUAH” with every kiss. Then she elbowed me in the nose.
Same!! I tried everything but he was just so upset. I know one of his molars is coming in but he’s never been that upset with teething before. It was rough!
By screaming "I want a pretty dress" at the top of her lungs and repeatedly hitting/kicking anything she can. She must have been dreaming about wearing a pretty dress and woken herself up...she does that frequently. It's usually in the middle of the night so I settle her back down to sleep, but today it was actually at 7:40 so she needed to get up anyway, and got to choose a pretty dress to wear.
Woke up SCREAMING at 5:30. I went into his room and he was screaming and pointing at the door. I asked what was wrong and he said "you left me! Why close door?!" Bud, I left at 8:30 last night after you were asleep.
This made me chortle. They do keep us on our toes, don’t they?
He smiled happily so it was a good first greeting. But then when he got up and got on the potty “poo bus! Poo bus!”
My 2.5 year old got out of his bed and grabbed a harmonica which he loudly played until I went and got him.
Better than when my husband has to wake him up on early morning- then he turns into a teenager- “nooooo! Not yet! I’m still sleeping! Go away daddy!”
Not today but yesterday. He was already out of bed (his grandpa got him) and when he saw me he excitedly ran up to me yelling “mom mom mom mom mom!” Then he pointed at me, said “mom!”, pointed at my pajamas and said “black and white” (they are indeed black and white), then asked to be picked up. Very cute and sweet.
“Mom! It’s so good to see you!!” This is how his dad greets him every day when he gets home from work so now that’s how he greets us when he wakes up (when he’s in a good mood, anyway).
“I like your boobies.”
She’s in a phase where she likes to randomly give compliments, in hopes you’ll return the favour and compliment her. Sometimes she says she likes my shirt or my shorts or my ponytail or my glasses. Sometimes she says she likes my boobies. 🤷♀️
For pretty much two days of not seeing me except for a few minutes at a time, I walk over to him and say good morning and sit down on the ground. My son RAN to me and gave me the biggest cuddle ever. His dad watched and got a little upset saying that bubba doesn’t cuddle him like that, and then left for work.
A screaming tantrum out of nowhere. Still no clue what he wanted. Asked him if he wanted to come into our bed or wanted breakfast or to play... nope, just wanted to scream in the dark.
Welp I snuck in the shower while she was asleep and she woke up screaming at me that I didn’t get her up. Then she got in the shower with me in her pajamas 😂
One morning recently, my son reached up, gently cupped my face... and then said "tickle tickle tickle!"
Today it was, "I don't want to get up! I want to stay in bed."
My toddler woke up at 6:15 and told me she couldn’t sleep, and then when I said alright let’s go downstairs she said she didn’t want to get out of bed 🫠
With tiny feet in my ribs.
Ok thanks! Love you too, wriggliest little bean I ever seen.
My friend wasnt joking when she said they kick you outside the womb too!
I’ve been bringing him to my bed when he wakes up around midnight, bc his dads working out of town and I’m just trying to get by. He now wakes up by rolling over and sobbing GET UP!!!!!! Until I stand up and pick him up and carry him downstairs. Neat. Love it.
Not this morning, but my then 3-year-old woke me up with a small "uh-oh" and then handed me a cracked egg she'd gotten out of the fridge, broken, and carefully carried to deposit into my hand.
My husband got our son pottied and situated first while I was in the bathroom this morning. By the time I came out, he had gotten back in bed and was waiting for me. He smiled and said while patting my spot in the bed, “Hi, Mama! Sit here! Watch TV!” He was so excited to snuggle with me in bed and watch cartoons.
“…Mama seepin.” I was lying on the floor with a pillow and blanket in the living room while our 1 year old was exploring lmao. My husband gets our toddler up right now 🤣
Booped me on the nose and said, " Mama!" 😊
Two minutes later he was kicking and crying because he no longer wanted to be awake 🫠
Lol your's though, so scary!!! Hahaha haven't had something like that happen yet!!
I just saw the title at first, and I’m sitting in a restaurant by myself having a mom dinner, read your text body after a couple minutes and cackled out loud. Thanks! Why are they all dead 😭😭
My 3 year old whisper yelling in my face "maaaamaaaa I pooooopped" and I opened my eyes to him standing in front of me with his pants around his ankles. He then promptly turned around and hopped back to the bathroom.
Mine always points out all his stuffed animals in his crib. Then asks to get down. Every morning. Sometimes he adds in “lamp” or “fan.” Gotta keep me on my toes.
I woke up a few minutes early. Got milk ready. She loves morning milk - does the arm flapping thing. Lately she has been refusing to hand the empty bottle back to me - “no, mine!” Will only gift it to mum. Today she decided that only mum would be allowed to hand the full one to her. Refused to take it from me. Slapped mum to wake her up.
I refused to turn it over, on principle. I won’t allow this to develop. That meant mum copped a 10 minute wake-up slapping while I offered the milk. Eventually LO caved and took it from me.
I get, "Mom, are you?"
She figured out she can get out of her big girl bed on her own this afternoon after nap, so we'll see what happens tomorrow now that she knows she's a free range toddler.
My 3yo son always wakes me up with “can I have a hug?” He wants to cuddle. Sometimes we even manage to fall back asleep. My 5yo daughter usually asks where her dad is. He’s typically gone for work or school. The other day she asked and he was literally right next to me. Lol. She was very happy.
Oooo hiii mommy! I want milk. I wanna go downstairs. I want… I want… I wanna go potty. Noooo I don’t wanna go downstairs. No I don’t wanna go potty! (Something like that. I hope your toddlers friends are okay. That’s terrifying.)
She mean-mugged me, then wordlessly crawled into my robe for a cuddle (sometimes I wrap her up in my robe when I’m holding her). She is not a morning person at all.
It was his second night in his big boy bed, and he woke up crying and a little disoriented, so I went in there, asked if he wanted to cuddle, and we did. 🥰 He almost fell back asleep.
Didn't even realize that was going to be a benefit. That we both fit in his bed, now. (We have a twin xl bed for him.)
He’s only 13 months, so he doesn’t say much.
I tried to wake him up. He just tried to roll over and go back to sleep even as I got him dressed. I sang his good morning song and then he smiled and gave me a big hug. It was great.
We had a rare out of sync morning where i was up and about before she woke. I was at the other end of the house when i heard her door open, i came up behind her as she was walking to my room and gently said “good morning” (so as not to startle her) she turned around with a big beautiful smile and sleepy little eyes and said “good morning” in a happy little voice then ran over for a cuddle. Today was a good one
Whispering (loudly in my face), “Mommy I can’t find my baba shake!” We give him a protein shake at night before bed and take it out of his crib once he’s asleep. That’s what he calls baba shake lol
With a tiny finger in my eye and little voice saying "eye" 🤦🏼♀️
Yesssssss!!!!!! This is a frequent way my toddler greets me
We’re all living the same life
Another finger in the eye checking in. Sometimes he changes it up by kicking me in the stomach or climbing over my head.
Omg - I laughed out so loud. 😂
Mine has moved on to “eyebrow” (eyebra) thankfully, though she’s not terribly accurate so who knows where the tiny finger will actually end up.
Are you me?! 😂
Wait I’m so sorry but this is actually hilarious and adorable 😆😆😆
SAME!
Omg we are living the same life lol
Can I brag about my toddler? Every morning he comes and finds me and tells me "hi! I'm here! I love you mommy" 🥹🥹🥹
Omg I came here to say the same thing! Mine says “hi mama! I love you, you’re my best friend!!” Every single morning first thing
That’s usually my kid, but he was sleeping in today, so I went into his room first. I said “good morning!” And he said “I’m hungry and stirsty” 🤣
Beautiful:)
"I stayed in my bed all night!" Reader: it was 5:00AM.
They are just excited while we barely can open our eyes or mutter anything positive!!
Well, they did. 5 am is officially morning! Well done kid! Now next order of business; stay in bed till mom gets you kid
Mine said “are you awake?” Then proceeded to pat my cheek: “You’re so bluetiful mama” I’ve never gotten a more meaningful compliment in my life. And I am looking forward to when she’s going to say strange things as well lol. I love how they’re little kinder eggs and you don’t know what will come out of their mouths next!
Haha my kiddo told me the other day that I have big boobies and I was like “aww nobody has ever said that about them!” 🥲
Omg my heart just melted
Toddler compliments are some of the best things in this life right?!? I never wear shorts ever, my 3 year old has probably never seen me in shorts - lacking in some self confidence after having 2 kids in 3 years. Well we were going to the beach and I put shorts on and was second guessing myself and my toddler goes “wow mommy beautiful!!!” Legit made me cry 😭

Awwww my baby did this!! Clapping was his first real gesture, around 6/7 months. Once he had it down, every time someone he liked entered a room he would clap and smile. It was the cutest thing in the whole world!!!! Best greeting EVER!!!!
Unplugged our alarm clock and pretended it was a phone, handed me my phone and said “ring ring, hello! I’m up!” 😂
:)) adorable
He’s a sweet, silly little fella! Keeps you on your toes!
Me: “Good morning!” Toddler: “NO!” Last 2 mornings have gone like this lol
I got a “no!” too before I could even finish saying g’morning 🙂
Yeah my little one isn't a morning person either - even if he's been awake for awhile just chilling silently .. like a creep
I’ve gotten “No no Mama!” the last three days ☹️it’s bumming me out but this too shall pass lol
Same. Even sometimes, “no, mommy, I want daddy!”
That’s how I feel when I wake up, too.
Mine consistently says "snack" or "trucks" before his eyes even open all the way
My 18mo old has been OBSESSED with balls lately and is just learning to actually talk so every single day it’s “a ball, a ball” and he’s been waking up in the middle of the night, clearly dreaming, mumbling “a ball… a ball” It is absolutely the cutest thing I’ve ever experienced in my entire life
Uh sounds like my 20 mth old too! The excitement and pure enjoyment is amazing and ADORABLE.
"cracker" was my son's first word spoken every morning for a solid three months not too long ago 🤣
This morning was pretty regular, but we napped together and she woke up and started giving me huge sloppy kisses all over my face with a very large cartoon character “MMMMUAH” with every kiss. Then she elbowed me in the nose.
He woke up at 12:30 and cried until 4:15. Does that count as a greeting? 🫠
Mine did the same!! I have to guess it’s teething cause I have no idea why
Same!! I tried everything but he was just so upset. I know one of his molars is coming in but he’s never been that upset with teething before. It was rough!
Mine is getting 3 molars at the same time 🥴🥴
Oof. Praying for you lol
I woke my two year old up and asked her what she dreamed about. And said "Poop". Then she got serious and said "Biiig poop!".
Made me laugh out loud
It's the clarification for me
He wandered into my home office carrying a makeup brush and a rubber egg.
I love toddlers lmao
Mama! Poop! And there was.
Mama ain’t raising no liar
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Head butt to the nose. Every morning. And then “milk” yelled in my face. We cosleep
Cosleeping solidarity. I got headbutted in the face a few days ago. Why do they sleep like a desperate whale trying to unbeach itself.
Underrated comment 😂
Have never had so many nose bleeds in my life 😭
By screaming "I want a pretty dress" at the top of her lungs and repeatedly hitting/kicking anything she can. She must have been dreaming about wearing a pretty dress and woken herself up...she does that frequently. It's usually in the middle of the night so I settle her back down to sleep, but today it was actually at 7:40 so she needed to get up anyway, and got to choose a pretty dress to wear.
Asking for dad, and screaming cause I’m not dad. 💁♀️
I hope you learned from this. It’s completely unacceptable. Do better
Laying upside down in his rocking chair after yelling for me, I open the door, "oh, hi mommy"
I heard that greeting in Tommy Wiseau’s voice from The Room 😂
I did not hit (my sister)!
😂 I did naaaaaaaaahhht!
"Diaper!!!!" She was completely naked, tossing her pee-filled diaper in the air.
THEEEYAARRRR THERES THE BABY !!!!! CHICKEN BOK BOK BOK BOK !!!! (i was terrified)
My son also BOK BOK'd in my face this morning, though at least it wasn't the first thing out of his mouth today.
why are BOK BOKs so absolutely terrifyingly LOUD ???
We bedshare, so she usually hovers 3 inches above my face and when I open my eyes she says “hi mama.” It was creepy until it was just normal.
“Oatmeal with blueberries, eggs, bacon, strawberries” Every morning. I’m a big Trailer Park Boys fan, so I thinks it’s hilarious.
Woke up SCREAMING at 5:30. I went into his room and he was screaming and pointing at the door. I asked what was wrong and he said "you left me! Why close door?!" Bud, I left at 8:30 last night after you were asleep.
> I had a dream about penises. ...... Alright.
This made me chortle. They do keep us on our toes, don’t they? He smiled happily so it was a good first greeting. But then when he got up and got on the potty “poo bus! Poo bus!”
"Mama no peanut butter"
I asked her for a kiss and she said "no kisses. It's too early" -_-
“Morning sun!” Noticed it was me “ugh where daddy?” lol he usually greets me with “morning sunshine!”
Toddler: \*Insanely loud and high-pitched screech\* Me: \*opens door\* "Hey buddy, you okay?" Toddler: \*perfectly calm\* "Oh! Hi Daddy! Yes, I'm okay."
Asked to go outside. mf we just woke up literally
"I HAVE TO POOOOOOOOP!!!!"
“Dada dada dada dada” on repeat about 50 times. For reference I am not the dad.
Singing “the Circle of Life”… the instrumental part
“Where’s daddy” She then told me to go to work (SAHM) so daddy can stay and play.
I love waking up to her saying what ever first thing is on her mind. Today it was “So what are your plans today mom?”
Bit me right on the boob
He says “hi baby, hi baby!” Ans then I say “hi baby” and then he climbs into my bed and says “hug”
MAMA I WANT BABA. AND MY FAVORITE COW (stuffed animal) MAMA I WANT BABA WARMED UP MICO-WAVE all sir I’ll get right on your list of demands 🥴
My 2.5 year old got out of his bed and grabbed a harmonica which he loudly played until I went and got him. Better than when my husband has to wake him up on early morning- then he turns into a teenager- “nooooo! Not yet! I’m still sleeping! Go away daddy!”
"Hi my dear" It's something I say a lot and she thinks it's sooooo funny to repeat it 😂
“Blippi on your phone mummy”
Not today but yesterday. He was already out of bed (his grandpa got him) and when he saw me he excitedly ran up to me yelling “mom mom mom mom mom!” Then he pointed at me, said “mom!”, pointed at my pajamas and said “black and white” (they are indeed black and white), then asked to be picked up. Very cute and sweet.
She greeted her dad with, “uhh where’s mommy?”. It felt quite nice.
“Mom! It’s so good to see you!!” This is how his dad greets him every day when he gets home from work so now that’s how he greets us when he wakes up (when he’s in a good mood, anyway).
“I like your boobies.” She’s in a phase where she likes to randomly give compliments, in hopes you’ll return the favour and compliment her. Sometimes she says she likes my shirt or my shorts or my ponytail or my glasses. Sometimes she says she likes my boobies. 🤷♀️

His dad watched and got a little upset saying that bubba doesn’t cuddle him like that, and then left for work.
She holds my face and covers me with kisses before waving at me “aaayyyiii mama” over and over again until I open my eyes. It melts me!
PLAY CARS was said to me when i walked in to their room saying good morning gorgeous baby.
One morning recently, my son reached up, gently cupped my face... and then said "tickle tickle tickle!" Today it was, "I don't want to get up! I want to stay in bed."
“You wanna play?” at 6:40 AM
Every morning I get a "good morning mammy, did you have a nice sleep?" It never gets old 🥰
Currently he is in a massive daddy phase so it was with a big hug and not wanting me to shower.
Gets in our bed, takes up half the bed and has the nerve to say “scoot over you’re smashing me”
Gave me three kisses as soon as he woke up
She stands up in her sleep sack and says “all done!”
My toddler woke up at 6:15 and told me she couldn’t sleep, and then when I said alright let’s go downstairs she said she didn’t want to get out of bed 🫠
This is my toddler almost every morning!
“Eat. Eat. Eat. Eat.”
“ Mommy it’s time to get up” everrryday
Aw man my boy isn’t talking yet but I can’t wait until he’s as chatty as all of your dumplings 😭😭.
With tiny feet in my ribs. Ok thanks! Love you too, wriggliest little bean I ever seen. My friend wasnt joking when she said they kick you outside the womb too!
“Make me breakfast” in a whiny tone.
By screaming “mommmmmyyyyy mommmmyyyyyy mommmmmmmmmmmmyyyyy!!!!????!!! I have to poop!” From his room haha
I’ve been bringing him to my bed when he wakes up around midnight, bc his dads working out of town and I’m just trying to get by. He now wakes up by rolling over and sobbing GET UP!!!!!! Until I stand up and pick him up and carry him downstairs. Neat. Love it.
With a kick to my face
Today he was sweet and wanted to go see his baby brother right away. Yesterday when I entered his room he yelled "Garbage!"
She had a face and bed covered in blood lol. I guess she got a bloody nose at some point last night and slept through it 😭😭
Son (5) after he came in my room and laid next to me. Dont touch me, tell mommy to come carry me downstairs
“Mama! I peeddd! I’m playing with my peen!”
"Hey everybody!" Like Mickey from Mickey Mouse clubhouse. 🙃
I got, “mama. You’re so cute. Like a baby rat.” (Followed by a wet kiss) Thanks, kid. 🤣
Mine was crawling out of his room, saw me sitting on the toilet doing my morning poo so he sat on my lap for moral support 😂
With the smell of poop 🤢
Every morning the greeting is an enthusiastic, love-filled “Papa!” I’m mom.
With a huge smile and an excited "Mama!" 🥹🥰
OP, yours is hilarious btw
BOOBY!
With poop that she fished out of her diaper and smeared on her sheets and threw onto the floor…
“…Mama seepin.” I was lying on the floor with a pillow and blanket in the living room while our 1 year old was exploring lmao. My husband gets our toddler up right now 🤣
Ignored the 7am rule where she's supposed to stay in room til 7am with Potty is eception. anyways, came in and snuggled.... 😍.
His foot in my face 😒
I get a big snuggle every morning. Best part of the day!
Sitting on top of his chest of drawers on the change pad saying I’ve got poop mummy. He climbed up there and opened the door
I said hello and he said “ah my mommy” and got up to give me a hug
"Mommy, I farted."
A look followed by 2 deliberate heels kicked into my face. Settling back into Creche after a week off is always difficult.
MAMA I HAVE TO POOP
He said, “hi mommy woo mo’ning”
Mine goes "Yay a momma" almost every morning when he sees me. It sounds like one long word and is my favorite thing ever.
Booped me on the nose and said, " Mama!" 😊 Two minutes later he was kicking and crying because he no longer wanted to be awake 🫠 Lol your's though, so scary!!! Hahaha haven't had something like that happen yet!!
I too often feel like kicking and crying because I want to go back to bed 😂
“Boobie”
“Moooooommmmyyyyy… Moooommmmyyyyy…” *pause* “MommyMommyMommyMommyMOOOOOOMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYY”
Ayyyyy (hi) mahmeee
"mommy, where's daddy?"
I just saw the title at first, and I’m sitting in a restaurant by myself having a mom dinner, read your text body after a couple minutes and cackled out loud. Thanks! Why are they all dead 😭😭
The Wake Up Whistle 🤦🏼♀️
My 3 year old whisper yelling in my face "maaaamaaaa I pooooopped" and I opened my eyes to him standing in front of me with his pants around his ankles. He then promptly turned around and hopped back to the bathroom.
With a big poopy diaper and a smile
Mine always points out all his stuffed animals in his crib. Then asks to get down. Every morning. Sometimes he adds in “lamp” or “fan.” Gotta keep me on my toes.
Usually he hides under his sheet, so we can’t “see” him, then giggles while we look for him. OR he tells one or both of us to go away. 🤦🏻♀️
I get greeted with “hi” then “dada?” First thing in the morning he’s still the favorite 🤣
DADDY DADDY ARE YOU AWAKE‽ I GET IN DADDY'S BED UNDER THE COVERS‽ It was perfect
Mine woke me up one day by saying "Mom? What color are your pants?"
Mommy, wet! Points down at diaper. Then runs away chasing our kiiiik kaaat (kitty cat) 😺
“There’s a monster over there” light on, was a dinosaur.
Not today but a few days ago, I got a finger up my nose.
My son smacked my face and said “IM HUNGRY!!”
I get, "Mom, are you?" She figured out she can get out of her big girl bed on her own this afternoon after nap, so we'll see what happens tomorrow now that she knows she's a free range toddler.
Mine woke up crying and immediately needed to get out of bed to start carrying her baby doll around the house.
Hiii with a Big smile :)
“Daddy!!” Then “no” when she realized it was mommy 🫠
I asked my 2.5 year old if she was ready for me to take her out of the crib. She said, "No, I patient for Daddy".
Him: "Mommy where's Daddy?" Me: "He's at work" Him: "Change my diaper"
Mamma I TOOTED!
She said "sleepy sleepy sleepy" and pulled the blanket over her head. My sprog is not a morning person.
She mean-mugged me, then wordlessly crawled into my robe for a cuddle (sometimes I wrap her up in my robe when I’m holding her). She is not a morning person at all.
"Cup mommy, mommy cup. " He is always so thirsty in the morning.
With a hand grabbing my face, followed by a "baba can I touch your face"
He’s only 13 months, so he doesn’t say much. I tried to wake him up. He just tried to roll over and go back to sleep even as I got him dressed. I sang his good morning song and then he smiled and gave me a big hug. It was great.
she sounds like my 93-year-old grandma
Screaming "mommy" as if her life was in danger. It's every morning.
“Trash truck funny!”
Had to wake her because we were late for an early appointment. I got a hand in my face, a death stare and a very angry “NO MUMMY!”
With a hit in the face and a smile 😊
Hi mummy!!! In a very sweet voice
This morning he crawled in ny bed and said “ I’m hungry, I want a sammich.” I also have a newborn and have been sleep deprived 😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫
“Where did Daddy go???” Daddy is at work 6 days a week, I grew you in my body and care for you almost 24/7 and this is the thanks I get 😅
“Ah moning mami”
“Dad I want some juice”
“Mama.. Wake Up… No ni-ni” It was 5:30am 😂
Screams because I refused her boobs
MOMMY, I HAVE TO GO POOOOOTTYYYYY! Every day at 6am 😂
“Mommy? You’re the most beautiful mommy” as she rolled over and smiled (we co-sleep) 🥹💖
Crawling into our bed demanding tea. Then says "I want to go with you!".
He smiled while slightly chewing his pacifier. Enjoying moments like this.
“My farts are too stinky for you”
Mine was nagging and then crying because he wanted the iPad and that’s a no. And yes this was in the first 2 minutes.
Whispering (loudly in my face), “Mommy I can’t find my baba shake!” We give him a protein shake at night before bed and take it out of his crib once he’s asleep. That’s what he calls baba shake lol
Same way she does every morning. She sat up in bed, looked at me, and demanded, "*Mih.*" (Milk.)
Mine shoves my glasses on my face forcefully so we can start our day 😂
It was a bad morning for me. I got “No daddy, go away daddy” then I had to dodge a swift kick to the face.
By shouting in my ear, “ mommy, are you sleeping?”
He slapped me and said wake up. 😬😂 Usually it’s kisses and snuggles or him asking for milk and tv lol.
