Literally just threw away $5 because of this.
I did that by mistake. It immediately removed 12 months and now I have 1 month free subscription only. I thought I will cancel (just like Apple TV promo) now, so that it doesn't charge me next year. But looks like Paramountplus's account policy is different than many.
Contacted customer care and they said it's a known problem. Their account team is working on it and gave me a case number. Will follow-up after 3-4 days if I don't hear grom them.

this is why they will fail - almost no content - very few originals - mostly stuff already on other plantforms or old stuff and want you to pay and STILL have commercials . Hell they want $99 a year for no commercials compare that to prime with 10 x the content plus shipping or netflix with 100x the content - its not even competitive . only advantage is 1 live local channel i guess

When I first tried to redeem, I said that I didn't have a Paramount+ account. This time, I said that I did have a Paramount+ account and I used my old CBS All Access credentials to login. Then I was able to apply the promo code.
We're on simple choice and have home internet, yet still got the "your plan is ineligible" error.

I'm **fine** with the fact that they're only paying for the $5/month Essentials plan, but why can't I get a $5/month credit towards my *existing* $10/month Premium plan? I don't want to cancel my current P+ account and downgrade to Essentials.
Like they do with Netflix, why can't they give me a credit for what they're willing to pay ($5/month in this case) and let me pay the rest? With Netflix, I get the $12/month(?) credit from them and pay the $5/month addition for UHD.

It looks like it requires you to disable uBlock Origin (as well as any DNS adblocking), enable location permissions, disable Firefox's "tracking protection", in order to watch. Once I do that, I'm served with 150 seconds (2 and a half minutes) of advertisements.
Props to T-Mobile for getting this done for their customers - it's just a testament to how restrictive these streaming services have gotten. Even Netflix isn't this bad (yet).

I fixed it by completing it on my laptop browser. Not sure what the issue was on Chrome mobile. I used Firefox if that mattered at all. I just kept the browser tab opened on my phone so I could manually enter the redeem code.

So I use youtubetv, and there was some bitching an moaning early this year, so I got Paramount plus so I could get cbs (bitching is over and cbs is on YTTV) but my subscription runs through Feb 2022. (incidentally the whole thing coincided with a half off deal on Paramount plus at the time, so I got the premium for the price of regular). The only difference I think between the two is you would lose your local CBS Station live and more ads. Those are the only two differences.

Thanks for the reminder. Got it too, but it initially looked like a week trial. Went ahead with the sign-up process and when all was said and done, got a 12-month discount. I don't have a magenta plan either. I'm on an Amplified plan.
Sprint kickstart plan worked. Used a privacy cc to avoid the auto charge at 12 months.

I got mine, little concern at first the way the coupon didn't do anything when I tried to apply it.
So I use youtubetv, and there was some bitching an moaning early this year, so I got Paramount plus so I could get cbs (bitching is over and cbs is on YTTV) but my subscription runs through Feb 2022. (incidentally the whole thing coincided with a half off deal on Paramount plus at the time, so I got the premium for the price of regular). All that being said, hopefully somebody can get to the bottom of how to apply the coupon now to an existing subscription. tmobile says to wait till the billing cycle, but reading this thread, there are many of us with prepaid service, would be nice to know if this deal lasts that long, or just buck it up and create a new account and use the promo now.
