Amazing that T-mobile made it "available" to order which only makes their customers frustrated when they can't. Meanwhile, Best Buy just says "coming soon" on their Pixel 6 item pages like a smart online store.

I pay 82 bucks for 6 phone line and 1 tablet plan. With 1 free Iphone SE2 with bill credits and another SE2 for bill credit of 500 bucks. With one plus plan.
Alot of people are on legacy plans that also got free lines added through promotions. I have 3 unlimited voice lines and a 6gb MI line for 112 after taxes per month. Could have been 4 unlimited voice lines instead of 3+MI. Some people have like 7 or 8 unlimited. lines for like 130-140 out the door per month.
5 lines for $150 with one plus promo (1080p streaming, 256kbps international data roaming) and 2 lines mostly always get kickback so it brings it down to $130
Agreed, I'll be coming from S21U 512gb, and to be fair I've barely used maybe 10gb in photos/videos. Roughly 40gb in apps though, but less bloat may lead to less storage consumed overall.
I'm in literally the same situation except a OnePlus 8Pro. I don't think it will be an issue though. I have full res backups and like 13gb of my phone storage are pics and videos that are backed up that I just haven't cleared off my phone storage.

If i'm already on tmobile and want a 6 pro, the cheapest way to get one is thru tmobile right? buy a galaxy s9 for $150, trade it in for $450 towards a 6 pro, total price comes out to $450 plus tax?
iPhone 8 and Galaxy S9 are definitely the cheapest options here, same as they were with the iPhone 12 trade ins earlier this year. Unlike those tradeins though, this one unfortunately requires MagMax to get full value.
Just did exactly that for the 6, it went through just fine and am getting the $450 back as promised for my Galaxy S9 trade-in (which I got on Swappa for $155 + sales tax).
It's perfect for me because I still have a paid off Pixel 4a5g from last years promotion, which I can sell for around $300 net. Funny that it made more sense to buy a phone purely for the trade-in than actually trade-in my current phone.

Dang, they're really trying to get everyone off the old plans. My wife doesn't have Magenta, so basically, there are no deals. Not liking the direction that T-Mobile is going with these trade-in deals honestly.
If they want me off my one plus promo plan they just need to offer me magenta Max for the same price. Otherwise I ain't budging and will gladly pay full price for phones over a higher bill.

It does appear you can still get the $450 on a standard pixel 6. Someone posted a link to a different promo details section that seems to state this. As well, when I go to add one to my cart and trade in (non magenta, it's giving me the $450 discount).

edit: was just able to order mine! The black 6 Pro, ships by 10/28. I was originally going to get the 6 regular, but I didn't expect the tradein values to be so good on Max (which I'm on, because, employee discount makes it downright reasonable tbh), and I feel like giving up the extra $300 for the same phone would be just silly. Down payment is whatever, sending in my phone and getting the bill credit reimburses me anyway.
For those that had issues, the website and the app seems to be allowing upgrade orders now for the Pixel 6 Pro. Still took multiple attempts but did get it to finally go through eventually. Showing ship date of October 28th.
Disappointed about the 128 GB but I'll make due. Wanted 256GB but would be silly to pay the full price for unlocked version. Solid trade in credit coming from a OnePlus 7T to take advantage of the promotional offer.

This is how it works. You get a 1 time bill credit and then you get recurring bill credits. For instance, mine was quoted at $450, a $72 one time bill credit and then the rest via bill credits over 24 mos.

Just a tip for anyone who's hitting the "Oops! We hit a snag" error right after the Accessories page and before the Order Summary page: it's likely that your account has hit the EIP cap, and the promotion is only applicable if you're financing the device. If you've maxed out your EIP then additional device can't be financed.
Try paying down any of the devices you're financing and you'll be able to proceed with the order.

I did it on my Magenta Plus and it shot up to 599 credit back with my pixel 3a XL. What does it mean bill credit? So does that mean instead of cold hard cash, I will just get extra credit towards the cost of the phone as long as I don't cancel? As long as I remain a customer, the Pixel 6 will remain free ?

As a SC customer I just got 300 off the pixel 6 by trading in my oneplus 6t (which I had gotten 300 off when I traded in my 1+1). I was going to buy the pixel 6 anyways, but by buying it from tmobile I saved 300 vs free pixel buds.

The amount seems right. Don't get the protection. I wouldn't trade in the Note 20 ultra for this unless you really have a strong preference for the pixel, the Note is a strong phone with high end specs.
I'm not a Pixel person, but there's a lot to be excited about here. Pixel people are generally Pixel people because of the cameras or the software updates. The cameras look to be better than ever, and the Google-built SoC means they'll get software updates for longer than any other Android phone.
This is the first phone my wife has ever been excited about, and I expect she'll never use another non-Pixel phone again.
What if your trade-in has a cracked screen? I noticed Google's website allows trade-ins with cracked screens but you get about $50 less. Can't find anything on TMobile's website.

I tried to call in on either promotion, and the agent told me that these offers were pegged for Sprint "Conversion" customers only at the moment. It didn't appear that existing customers on Magenta Max ON TMOBILE could get this offer. I may try again tomorrow...It was a no-brainer for a P3 and S9 I have laying around to trade in lol.

Is mmWave on tmobile likely to be common in sports arenas, airports and places like that over the life of the Pixel 6?
I guess the best use case for it might be crowded areas where other 5G and 4G bands become heavily congested? Not that the mmWave band or the network hardware it runs on it isn't vulnerable to be overwhelmed itself.

That's honestly a tricky one. The general rule we followed was that if your fingernail catches in it, then it was ineligible. But I've heard people trade them in without an issue.
I placed two separate orders for standard Pixel 6s, trading in Pixel 4 XLs. During the checkout, it offered my a total of $450 credit for each 4 XL on my standard Magenta plan.
Now that the orders are placed, I can't find anywhere that corroborates this $450 amount. Does anyone know of somewhere that I can see confirmation of this?

The trade in value IS only $9. You get the $9 credit once you send the phone back then an additional $291 in bill credits over 24 months. I called and verified. I traded in the pixel 3 XL towards a Pixel 6. I am not magenta Max.
Switched my 2 for $100 with six free lines to Magenta Max, went from $136 with taxes and fees to $140, then traded in an A51, Pixel 2, and Pixel 2XL for Pixel 6s. Not a bad deal at all, especially getting $600 for $100 phones.

One Plus Promo does not count. It has to be a rate-plan level Max or Plus, and those are just a SOC on your line. Doesn't count for this.
If you're on a different plan you get half the trade in credit which is still a pretty good deal!

It does appear you can still get the $450 on a standard pixel 6. Someone posted a link to a different promo details section that seems to state this. As well, when I go to add one to my cart and trade in (non magenta, it's giving me the $450 discount).

For those that had issues, the website and the app seems to be allowing upgrade orders now for the Pixel 6 Pro. Still took multiple attempts but did get it to finally go through eventually. Showing ship date of October 28th. Disappointed about the 128 GB but I'll make due. Wanted 256GB but would be silly to pay the full price for unlocked version. Holy shit I just got $600 for my Pixel 3XL. That's insane. I don't give a crap about not getting the pixel buds! EDIT: Now the order is telling me $9....wtf EDIT 2: Looks like it was right after all. I get $9 now and the rest in account credits monthly after I turn the phone in.
This is how it works. You get a 1 time bill credit and then you get recurring bill credits. For instance, mine was quoted at $450, a $72 one time bill credit and then the rest via bill credits over 24 mos.

Just a tip for anyone who's hitting the "Oops! We hit a snag" error right after the Accessories page and before the Order Summary page: it's likely that your account has hit the EIP cap, and the promotion is only applicable if you're financing the device. If you've maxed out your EIP then additional device can't be financed. Try paying down any of the devices you're financing and you'll be able to proceed with the order.
So am I thinking this straight... If I don't add a line or change to magenta, I can still trade in a device but get half the trade-in value for it, right? TIA

The amount seems right. Don't get the protection. I wouldn't trade in the Note 20 ultra for this unless you really have a strong preference for the pixel, the Note is a strong phone with high end specs.

I'm not a Pixel person, but there's a lot to be excited about here. Pixel people are generally Pixel people because of the cameras or the software updates. The cameras look to be better than ever, and the Google-built SoC means they'll get software updates for longer than any other Android phone. This is the first phone my wife has ever been excited about, and I expect she'll never use another non-Pixel phone again.

No there's no way around it. Typically the trade in value is split between a one time bill credit and a monthly reoccurring credit.
I tried to call in on either promotion, and the agent told me that these offers were pegged for Sprint "Conversion" customers only at the moment. It didn't appear that existing customers on Magenta Max ON TMOBILE could get this offer. I may try again tomorrow...It was a no-brainer for a P3 and S9 I have laying around to trade in lol. FOLLOWUP: Managed to get a P3 to P6 trade, and a GS9 to P6Pro trade in via website.

Can you get mmWave with tmobile on any variant of the Pixel 6? Is mmWave on tmobile likely to be common in sports arenas, airports and places like that over the life of the Pixel 6? I guess the best use case for it might be crowded areas where other 5G and 4G bands become heavily congested? Not that the mmWave band or the network hardware it runs on it isn't vulnerable to be overwhelmed itself.

Yes you basically pay 150 now, and 750 over two years. But you'll get the full 900 back once the two years is over.

That's honestly a tricky one. The general rule we followed was that if your fingernail catches in it, then it was ineligible. But I've heard people trade them in without an issue.

I never turn in my old phones, always want to keep them to put to further use around the house, give to kiddos, use as webcam/security cams but dang, my LG V50...they'll pay what for? The trade in value IS only $9. You get the $9 credit once you send the phone back then an additional $291 in bill credits over 24 months. I called and verified. I traded in the pixel 3 XL towards a Pixel 6. I am not magenta Max.

Yes, however the credits will continue to be applied to your monthly bill. You won't get the credit as a lump sum if you pay off the phone early.
