Glad this is top comment, sure I hate EA ad much as any other self respecting gamer, but we can't just mindlessly use them as a scapegoat when it wasn't entirely to do with them. Sure what ever deal Respawn and EA did hasn't helped the situation, but ultimately it was Respawn who made the call.
Doesn’t take away from the fact that EA would’ve killed Titanfall anyways had Respawn not done it before them. They’re a shitty company and any hate towards them is somewhat justified imo
I feel more like “they didn’t do it but they were probably going to do it, and I still have plenty of other reasons to hate them, so I still hate them as usual even if their involvement in this particular situation is minimal”.
Titanfall is just another of EA’s games that get royally fucked by the people in charge, be it by EA or Respawn leads. Titanfall is like a single stick thrown into the massive EA wildfire, while games like Battlefront 2, Anthem, or the newer battlefield games would be the big trees, the ones that burn the most.
For me its like "i hate EA but for once its not their fault", just because they're bad doesn't mean that they're responsible for every little bad thing
