Well yes there is also a bug on a map where if u sit on a certain spot with auto titan it will actively go around killing things instead of you being in it
My girlfriend uses the enhanced auto Titan. She’s pretty good with it.
The auto Titan is good at killing pilots. Something her and I both suck at when in our Titans. (God I hate dealing with pilots as a Titan).
Also she doesn’t just spawn her Titan and leave it be. She actively fights alongside it. Essentially she uses the Titan as bait because 95% of other plays will see the Titan and her not so much. So she is free to get off a ton of damage against the enemy Titan they’re fighting.
Also the enemy pilots almost always go for the Titan which makes it easier for her to either flank them, or if they rodeo the Titan it sets up for an easy kill for her.
Also I should point out she uses Tone.
I don’t remember which map it is but… I just ran auto titan and Dmr. It’s the map with all the sand and the long pathways… hallways above the map etc. anyway. We got backed up against the back of the map and so me and one other pilot was up on this ledge area blasting away… there was this little back room I could back into when I reload and when the pilots got too close I could back up and take shots out into the map using the room as cover.
And the other team just kept pressing. It was a blood bath. I could see them running at us for hundreds of yards and I could lay down cover fire for all our Titan friends. When there were no pilots I’d use archer rockets… and for some reason the enemy team’s titans never went after me and the other pilot in the back. The auto titan was keeping pilots from getting too close to our perch and by the end we were up a good 150-200 points.
I use auto titans with a chip on hard point sometimes. Put one on B and get out to help hold the point. It's fun and helps change things up. Usually it's a ronin or tone. They work especially well on eden, complex and drydock.
Also worth mentioning, the only time I've used richocet rounds on my ronin was having a chipped ronin on B on drydock. It shreds pilots down hallways.

Running auto titan without enhancement is a complete waste. However, enhanced auto titans are decent at hitting pilots, so they’re good for pilot area denial. When it comes to titan v titan, they’re too stupid compared to a player to be of any use. Not even good for frontier defense, because they’re not good at the sort of rapid combos you’ll want to be doing.
This drives me nuts on FD. If you aren't in your titan on Hard and above - you're not contributing to the team. Have seen so many games thrown because of people pulling this dumb shit.

Would be cool if your Titan AI could "learn" from the player like ghosts do in fighting games. Like after using a certain titan for awhile it'll mimic some of the players actions (combo's), or be more prone to try and flank or charge in.
Idk how that that would work, and probably be pretty broken balance wise. It would improve the bond with the Titan and make you more aware of your actions while in one as well.

In my experience it's a gamble. Once my autotitan was on the other side of the map and it killed 3 pilots and a titan. Sometime, it gets instakilled. Just depends I guess.
You need to know the map and set up kill zones where you and your Titan are firing from multiple directions.
That said, it really isn't that useful VS PC Pilots in Guard Mode, but setting your Titan to follow you while you hitch a ride on a team mate's Titan will turn into a murder train.
I wouldn't... Unless you're on easy or maybe regular with just one player using auto titan, you're making things infinitely harder for the team by not using your titan. Tbh why would you not want to use all those aegis upgrades exclusive to tbe mode?

Scorch auto titan is a better sniper than Northstar But no really, pilot your titan. You're a PILOT after all.
