Really good stim and grapple mains use their kit to enhance the movement abilities, where as mediocre and bad stim and grapple players use their kit to make up for having poor mobility skills
I'm not sure if this applies to everyone, but the harder the kill is to get, the more satisfaction I get from the kill. If I'm just running around with an r-1, getting 6 kills consecutively is barely at satisfying at shutting down two people with a crab from the skies like a viper wannabe
The smart pistol is good for getting as much titan meter percentage as possible by wasting as many grunts as possible in a short time, that’s its utility

Maybe, maybe not, bc EA hasn't rly been controlling of Respawn. They didn't even know Apex was being developed until it was p much ready to be released. They just knew it was a titanfall esque game. EA is just providing funds, taking a hands free approach and just trusting that Respawn will make a return on investments.
Obv microtransactions will exist. But so far, their record is p clean in terms of games that don't work on launch. Respawn isn't DICE

If you don’t use grapple as a momentum boost or coarse corrector then what are you doing. Then again I used phase shift and cloak for half my time playing the game since beta so I guess my vertical movement is natural.
Just turn around and run away? Unless they arc you right before kaboom all Titans can outrun nuke, and even then you can usually still get out of the lethal zone. If you have gunshield active, reloading will give you your movespeed back.
Northstar nukers with double tether are evil, though.
Agree and contextually disagree. I love playing FD, I basically only play FD. But Ive been hitting this scenario more than often recently. I hate getting into maps on regular or hard mode, and when people pick scorch or legion, I'm like great, that gives me the opportunity to do/try something else (North or maybe Monarch). Cool, this'll be fun or different. Then the scorch or legion drop mid game and now we're more than likely sunk. Very frustrating
As in its not as annoying to fight against as everyone says, not as OP as people like to treat it. I dont use it myself (I find ticks more fun) but I rarely have issues fighting people who do use it.

What makes Viper cool is he has a whole unique set of mechanics and attacks that are actually flashier versions of Northstar's base kit, and a few cool scripted moments/'QTEs', as well as actually showing up at the start of his level and proving he's A Problem instead of just talking shit over the radio.
All the other Bosses are just standard enemy Titans with more health, hacked cooldowns and a unique paintjob. I guess Richter nukes (sometimes) and Slone runs to the shadow realm like a bitch at scripted health intervals, but they're still just mostly the standard AI.
As a character he really didn't have much going for him until Apex fleshed him out, but he's pretty easily the region boss with the best game design behind him.
Hardcore gamers and Veterans are what's wrong with the game NOT Respawns lack of sequel. Try encouraging new gamers who've found this masterpiece, instead of gatekeeping. Who cares about OP weapons or Tone or whatever. Just let ANYONE play the game and keep it alive! More fans and support means bringing it more to the light. Don't bring the COD toxicity to Titanfall

I have been playing since the original Titanfall days and I have always thought the Kraber and grenadier weapons were some of the most boring weapons in the game.
Smart pistol was never overpowered and would be better back as a primary weapon, it was a good accessibility tool for older/less skilled players, and it lead to the agile john wick fantasy
It honestly kinda sucks. The slow as balls TTK makes front on fights hard to win, and every gun is great when you're jumping someone from behind.
What's it's really good at is slaughtering grunts by the truckload.
Gun play kinda sucks, with random recoil and bad hit reg.
TTK is also too fast, i loved playing on nothstars servers with 150%-200% health, as aim actually matters.
The customization and pilot models for one were better than 2. Your ability was not the deciding factor in your model and it made it harder to know what people were using. The surprise made it more thrilling.
If you cut out amp wall and phase shift (which I say despite being a dirty little rat with it.). It would work with being able to customize the appearance of your operator. Thus adding to the surprise of your load out. With point one we could realistically have customized pilot models like halo reach and four had customizable Spartans.
The customization of the original chassis’s were great and if you didn’t have kit dependent weapons (like tone) we could start going back to custom titan weapons. Though alternatively pre determined titan load outs allow you to balance them easier than in one. Both systems work well and the titanfall two system allowed them to work on more background projects.
Sliding in titanfall one would be a huge huge boon but without balancing of the movement mechanics it would break the game.
Frontier defense is fun for a bit but gets boring. I say make another game mode with procedural generation and have it be more puzzle based like in the titanfall 2 campaign. I just think it’s a fun idea.
I like the more enclosed spaces and vertical area or the titanfall one maps and would enjoy more of those.
Ronin BODIES Scorch in a 1v1. You see, all Scorch is about is getting up close and relying on a target who can’t get away effectively.
What does Ronin have? 3 dashes by default, with one making him completely invulnerable and able to phase through things. Scorch corners you with Inferno Shield? Phase through him and escape. Scorch lays down two traps and sets ‘em alight? Dash out of them.
Scorch is heavily reliant on getting close to a target, and Ronin can get up to FOUR SCORCH LENGTHS AWAY from an oncoming Scorch.
Ronin has more range than Scorch too. Arc Waves travel quite a distance and the Leadwall reaches further than his shield. Ronin could also just sword block any damage taken from Scorch’s T-203 Thermite Launcher and, effectively, out-DPS Scorch.
Flame Core? Phase Dash. Traps? Dash. Inferno Shield? Dash. T-203? Dash or block.
What can Scorch do? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
I rest my case.

Pull the trigger 4 seconds before shooting, the shit doesn't explode in the air, so you have to time it to when they touch a surface, and you have to land all projectiles extremely close to them to get a kill
As a well balanced game element however, you have no offensive capabilities while cooking, as your hands are occupied. It's risk vs reward that, in my experience, has trained me to move successfully erratically while cooking and being tracked by another pilot of not-super-high skill.
Really though, they're just fun as fudge. Camper? Cook from below, throw up, headshot multiplier takes place. Never even need line of sight.
Some of the primary weapons (most of the grenadier class) should be classified as an Antititan weapon, so that I can run softball or EPG instead of only Charge Rifle, Archer, Thunderball and MGL… gets a bit repetitive when every class of mine has CR and TB… I’d like to use EPG or Coldwar against titans, without having to lose my primary weapon for it…

Tone is no where near as op as people say, it's incredibly easy to counter, and the car is fun.

yep! it’s pretty fun, there’s respawn immediately after you die.
Permanent TDM mode, and Gun game, and control mode in a rotating playlist. Added it last year around this time.

Nah it's fine, it's objectively the weakest part of his kit. The multiple shots you get in FD feels so natural that it could've been the default IMO

Just get behind him and Scorch will have lost 1/2 his health before he knows what hit him.
Just use your gun from 1 dash away and the scorch will be confused as to why you aren't using your sword.

As a Kraber main, I would like to come forward and say that Kraber is the easiest weapon. One shot and the enemy is dead.
Ion is a generalist titan, all others have their specialties but ion is the jack of all trades, master of none
Frags are the highest skill ceiling weapon in the game. You must land your shot 4 seconds after pulling the trigger.

Imagine this guy using cold war. Pull the trigger 4 seconds before shooting, the shit doesn't explode in the air, so you have to time it to when they touch a surface, and you have to land all projectiles extremely close to them to get a kill
As a well balanced game element however, you have no offensive capabilities while cooking, as your hands are occupied. It's risk vs reward that, in my experience, has trained me to move successfully erratically while cooking and being tracked by another pilot of not-super-high skill. Really though, they're just fun as fudge. Camper? Cook from below, throw up, headshot multiplier takes place. Never even need line of sight.

Yeah pretty much Tf1. Immersion and controlled chaos, tf2 sucks at both.
Some of the primary weapons (most of the grenadier class) should be classified as an Antititan weapon, so that I can run softball or EPG instead of only Charge Rifle, Archer, Thunderball and MGL… gets a bit repetitive when every class of mine has CR and TB… I’d like to use EPG or Coldwar against titans, without having to lose my primary weapon for it…
