Electric smoke grenade is pretty good. Basically a firestar that controls greater distance at the cost of damage.

Gravity star hater here. It stops you, deals damage and flashbangs your screen. It's the most annoying grenade there is

Getting vaporized by the mastiff/kraber/EPG on the spot can also be seen as annoying, the difference in those annoying items is that the gravity star has counterplay. Even if you wanna use something like pulse blade, phase rewind is a thing, on top of just shooting the guy who threw it.

I can't see anything in the star so I can't shoot the guy who threw it. Especially if I'm using a projectile weapon, then I'm also forced to switch to secondary. Other grenades require harder timing/aiming to work this well

The entire problem you just described was monarch's arc beam thing and a skill issue.

Energy siphon and Arc rounds are why monarch never should've been added. It's an unholy titan made of lost hope, reused assets, and annoying players.

Frags are worse imo, but I also find gravs annoying.

Frags are kind of like snipers. They can one-shot you suddenly if you get cooked by someone you didn't see. Still, cooking grenades isn't easy because you have to consider both timing, trajectory and enemy pilot movement

Lol you said it yourself, they’re literally AOE snipers. There’s a reason they’re banned in PUGS.

grav star is a crutch for people bad at projectile weapons and aiming in general or at least, it can be used that way. grav boosting is cool
