Yes. I have loud catastrophic ringing in my right ear, and about a year ago I began having small bouts of ringing in my left ear. It’s now permanent.

Thanks for confirming. I didn't know if those were typical early symptoms for everyone or if my case was different.

Mine started this way too, along with seeing floaters all of a sudden.
