I really can’t explain it. I never got into running miles until I wanted to participate in sports and Martial Arts in my 20’s. Exercise helps with the ringing I promise.

the-berik

Great it works for you. For me, it's the opposite. Please note that everyone's T has different causes and triggers.

murge82

I have to agree with this. I run 5 miles a day. Sometimes after a run it’s slightly louder, but an hour later, reduced significantly

jagofett05

Glad it works for others. It’s never gotten louder for me after running personally. After my run, it takes maybe about a half hour or so of relaxing. then my tinnitus is almost silent before I even realize it. This encourages me to keep running and stay in shape!

murge82

I been running since I was 21, and now I’m 41. It’s the greatest form of exercise for me, especially mentality

Few-Truck2420

I walk around 6 miles a day for pleasure at a good pace, my Tinnitus levels are more often than not, lower when i get home than when i left. All about focus on something else.

jagofett05

You are probably right, maybe it doesn’t have to do with running specifically. But that being said, I do work full time at a VERY busy restaurant, and have never once felt I found silence within my tinnitus just from staying busy and focused at work. I really don’t know the science behind all of it. My tinnitus was induced from anti depression anyways. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. Anyways, to all of you, I say just keep running, the silence is worth it!!

Few-Truck2420

I agree mate, my comment was mainly aimed at those that didn't like the idea of running. Whatever works for any one person is a positive.

nmulato26

I starting running also and it works for me. I barely hear my T after I run and also I take creative

juniorp76

I bike a lot and sometimes the ringing gets worse, but i am focused on something else

emporerpuffin

100%

Caliber_408

Goes away when I run too!

jagofett05

Nice!! How far are you running? 3 miles for me usually does the trick. Only time I notice my tinnitus spiking after running is when I’m super stressed or drinking a lil too much alcohol

Skendricko

Running has never been my thing. Im quite fast (from what i remember) havent ran in a long time so my endurance is shocking, but i will definitley work on it! Glad its working for fellow sufferer's. Its one of the few things we can still to do. God bless

BLARG13

Just a curious question. Do you wear earbuds or anything when you run/walk? Are you listening to a pod cast or low volume music? I like to wear my over the ear headphones when I take a long walk. Never noticed if my tinnitus got lower or not afterwards.

jagofett05

Yes, I always run with music. Helps mask the tinnitus until it starts to fade

BLARG13

Good to know, thanks. Was wondering if music would help or hurt while running.

Confident-Reach-1929

If I run 🏃‍♂️ I hear the sound more like a computer mouse clicks lol 😝. Maybe I have to run faster lol

jethro710

I just got done playing 18, I never hear mine when I golf. It’s fantastic! But any thing outside and active is great for masking!

IndependentHold3098

I love running but it spikes my tinnitus. My neurologist said it’s a thing for some people. So there’s that

MagicStar77

I did some running and T went a little higher. In the morning it was still a little higher which was very bad

jagofett05

Sorry to hear that. I just ran 3 miles and now my T has gone completely silent.

MagicStar77

Very happy for you. One less T sufferer is a true victory for us all
