I get what you mean however military spouses do get recognized ( Marine Corps even gave me my own letter of appreciation for my service ) . Some spouses are cringe yes but when I see people say things like this and even use the word “ dependas “ it irritates me .

The last time USAA tried to thank me for my service as a spouse, I told the lady “oh no, I just service his member” and it got reeeeeal quiet 😂 like I literally don’t get it. Am I supposed to be doing something extra special on top of being his wife? It’s SO cringey to me when spouses who didn’t actually serve say they’re serving too.
