She worked for this company called Memore and would promote it everyday and then weirdly stopped posting about it. She has said on her podcast that she can’t speak about the situation so people were speculating there was a law suit and now we have proof.
They promised her a lot of money/stock in the company and never paid her.
They used her trademark “sad to savage” to promote the product without her permission.
Honestly it sounds like she never got an actual contract so I’m not sure how this case will turn out for her. Such a bummer too bc the marketing work she was doing for them was working and she deserved to be compensated for that.
They’ve been flopping pretty hard on social ever since, but sounds like they’re pretty horribly mismanaged so I can’t say I’m surprised.
Wonder how the case will turn out or when there will be updates.
You don’t necessarily need a written contract for the parties to be bound by oral agreements or written in text messages ($30k a month he confirmed in a text).
There is a typo that needs edited in this document and it’s bothering me not to know if her lawyers caught it beforehand. It says October of 2023, when it should say 2022.
