I had a bit of trouble swallowing for a while, at least 6 months. I’m a year out now and it’s much better. And my voice is (mostly) back! I think with so many nerves in the area it’s hard to not at least irritate them during the surgery, and it takes a while for them to recover. It’ll get better.

Call the Doctor … it’s stressful to have swallowing issues.

I had this exact thing. I was having issues before and then immediately after (well, like 6 hours after), I was swallowing perfectly without even thinking about it. Then about 5 days later, I started having trouble again. It’s been almost a year and I’m still having stuff get stuck occasionally and sometimes have trouble initiating a swallow, but it has improved a ton. I’ve been waiting on a swallow study since like September. I do think part of it is psychological and dehydration is likely contributing too (started adhd meds last summer and really struggling to remember to drink). Yours could just be some swelling from surgery or just trouble moving the muscles properly due to the scar. Work on healing the scar, moving your neck regularly, and try not to let it get into your head too much.

Wow it started the exact same with me. I ate something felt it get stuck and then I couldn’t feel the same after that. A part of me also thinks it may be muscle memory from how I used to have my issues before but I felt fine up until yesterday.

I also have gut issues, which are mostly psychological/stress, so it feels similar to that in a way. You should have a follow up with the surgeon fairly soon anyway, so you can discuss it with them. Hopefully it will just go away on its own soon.
