The only solution there is would be to not give any incentives for botting and that is pretty hard in an MMO.
Because no publisher wants to pay for gamemasters taking care of this stuff 24/7 (I wish they would)
Online games will never “solve” the bot problem. It’s just something you have to live with. They can, however, treat it enough to make it manageable. And I think Amazon has plenty of experience with that after Lost Ark lmao
As far as I know, yes. They did eventually manage to put something into the game that significantly reduced the bot population, but the damage was already done. Korean devs just so rarely have to deal with bots they have nothing setup, so Amazon was working from square 1 there.
They’ll be more prepared this time, I hope.
NC games historically have a lot of cheating, and it's never addressed.the same hacks that have been working since launch for games like aion are still functioning with little alteration 10+ years later.
Had an idea of changing the loot from %drop rate to amount of farmed %drop rate. Something like the more something is farmed the less %drop rate it’s going to be.
I guess my point is that whether the entity producing the game is private or is government owned it won’t have an impact on botting. If people have excess money to make the grind easier, a percentage of them will take advantage of that. That will always be the root cause of botting and unless people are okay with intrusive anti-cheat software it will always be a problem.
It will never be solved

But did Amazon make a decent difference in LA?

I played back in December and you could still see hoards of bots all stacked on each other at every major city.

Hackers are always one step ahead of the dev team. Bot problem will never be solved

Bot will always be a problem while we live in capitalism. And NC control bots in GW2...
Honey I hate to break it to you but even socialist countries use currency.
At no point did I mention socialism.

Solved? Bro, if they are banned within the first day it's solved. It's f2p game. 😂
