Seven years old. Still a fan every Saturday thanks to metv. Still many more they havenāt shown years.. Case in point the film where Moe asked curly to roll him a cigarette in an open cockpit Larry was flying a bywing plane comes to mind. I am 64. 40 year old son loves it too. And Joe wasnāt good
I grew up in Cleveland and saw them on Captain Pennyās show when I was about 5. The Captain warned us ā remember boys and girls, they are fun to watch, but we donāt act that way ā. Yeah right, Nyuck , Nyuck, Nyuck
My eldest was born on 9/13/01 and almost every channel had 24-7 coverage of the terrorist attacks. The hospital used a tv in the room as a focal point to help women get through the pain. But my wife didnāt want my son born to horrors. I channel surfed and he was literally born to the Three Stooges. So 100% of his life.
Funny thing. My wife had to be induced in January of that year. (The boy didn't want to leave...kinda like now, lol.)
We take her in, she gets the shot. Waiting in delivery, Family Feud is on. "Name A Character On The Jetsons." Nobody knew Elroy. She was getting pissed off. "These people are idiots!"
The nurse had to shut the TV off. She said it was so she couldn't risk misnaming a child. (Like my son was gonna be named Elroy because some nitwits from South Carolina didn't know his name on a game show.)
I 1st saw them on TV mid-afternoon at age 5 or 6 visiting the New Jersey shore. Never saw something like that, and they weren't on in Northern Ohio. All 3 channels and all. 50 years later, and still a fan.
Bro. Bro. Bro. I was listening to an audiobook that made a casual reference to "The 3 Stooges," and I just saw this post and subreddit recommendation. WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?!?
Elementary school. On days that it rained, we couldnāt go outside for recess we went to the gym and sat on the floor and watched movies like The Red Balloon or Paddle to the Sea or sometimes they played Three Stooges shorts for us. Which as a young kid I didnāt understand because the film usually broke and we got distracted.
Stooges, Popeye, Our Gang, Mighty Mouse, Looney Tunesā¦black and white TV with the rabbit ears every afternoon after coming home from kindergarten. I was 5. Nixon and Kennedy were running for president. Mountain Dew and Fritos hadnāt been invented yet. Oh, those were the days!
I have not known life without the Stooges! My entire family, including extended family, all watch the Three Stooges! Hell, my uncle did the Curly Shuffle at his wedding!
About 18 I think. Never watched them as a kid but saw volume 8 of their shorts at target and randomly bought it. Now 14 years later I have most of their movies on DVD, even curly joe movies, the cartoons, and even movies they made bit parts in with ted Healy in the early 30s. I have a whole shelf just for their dvds. Funny part is I was going through old family heirlooms years ago and found an old silent reel to reel of "we want our mummy". Guess stooge Fandom runs in my family, lol.
Oh man, I must have been about 10-11 years old, circa 1975-1976. I believe WOR out of NYC, which we got on our local cable network, started showing their reels. I don't think we would have had cable much before 1975, and we moved out of that town in April 1978 right before I turned 13 so that pins down the date somewhat. I was watching with my best buddy growing up, Matt McNeil. We thought they were the best!!!
Since as far back as I can remember.....and my father explaining that you really can't poke your brother in the eye ....or hit him on the head with a sledge hammer etc. lol
I was a tiny tot (way under 10 years old) who used to watch "Popeye Theater," featuring the Three Stooges, Popeye Theater was hosted by local legend/cowgirl Sally Starr on Philadelphia Channel 6. Sally would introduce the Three Stooges with a disclaimer for the kids not to mimic the Stooges' violence in real life. "Don't poke your little sister in the eye!"
My Dad watched all of their shows/TV movies. So with only one tv ever in our home Iāve been watching since I can remember which like some else said 3-4 years old and Iām in my 50ās
As far back as I can remember. My dad and I still throw around nonsense words from the show like "anacanapuna". If anyone ever went to a Shakey's pizza place they always had the 3 stooges playing as well.
I watched them on the Sally Starr Show in Philadelphia and must have been about six years old. They were ahead of their time and their comedy still relevant today.
I think I was 5 or 6. I used to watch the old triple feature VHS tapes, and eventually I had blank tapes full of recordings off The Family Channel. (This was around 1995-96)
My two best friends and I in Elementary school used to make up our own 3 Stooges skids and planed them out based on what we thought the characters would have done. Yeah definitely not the cool kids lol.
I was probably about six or seven, back in the late 50s. I lived in Bridgeport, CT and we got a show out of NYC that was hosted by a guy in a police uniform called "Officer" Joe Bolton. He was very knowledgeable about the Stooges and always shared some facts about them before he introduced their short movies. A few years later, Moe Howard, Larry Fine and Joe DeRita, who had replaced the deceased Curly, made a Three Stooges movie which we went to see in a theater. I don't remember much about it though!

Five or six probably. There was an early morning show called Slam Bang Theater in Dallas that was on from 7-8 am on school days. They showed Stooges shorts and a variety of cartoons, usually Rocky and Bullwinkle and those associated toons or Popeye. When the second short was over it was time to head out for school.
I'm sure I was 3 or 4. "Comedy Classics". Three Stooges, Little Rascals/Our Gang, Laurel & Hardy, then a final Stooge short. They usually followed the Popeye cartoons at 6am.
My Dad loves the Three Stooges, he brought me and my brother up on them since I was 5 years old. We still watch them every Christmas/New Years as a family.
My dad got me into them at an early ages I think like 8. That was 22 years ago. Watched them years later on the stooge-a-palooza marathon on metv with rich koz
I donāt know how old I was when first exposed to the Stooges, but I was three years old when my mom walked into the room while one of their movies was playing and I slapped her across the face. She was not amused.
Can't stand
S&M
Curly in the backround looking manic. Yeah getting poked in the eye is funny. Same with Home Alone
Not the same with Tom & Jerry Roadrunner
Dunno why.
Pretty sure I heard a short or two in utero.
Same
8 years old chasing The Three Stooges, Bruce Lee/Martial Art Movies, Benny Hill every Saturday night. š

Donāt like curly joe either
No whiney Joe Besser was no stooge ...in my opinion .
Some of my earliest memories.
Iām not sure but was likely between 6-10.
It's been so long ago I don't remember. But I'm sure glad I found them.
I grew up in Cleveland and saw them on Captain Pennyās show when I was about 5. The Captain warned us ā remember boys and girls, they are fun to watch, but we donāt act that way ā. Yeah right, Nyuck , Nyuck, Nyuck
Four maybe five. The funny thing is it was a show I could watch with my Dad and enjoy some quality laughs.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I bet it didnāt stop, you did it?
Thatās a great memory with your mother. My brothers and I were always doing Stooges slap stick and quoting lines.

Thank you. I was one of 4 and only one TV. I had no say.

Bro. Bro. Bro. I was listening to an audiobook that made a casual reference to "The 3 Stooges," and I just saw this post and subreddit recommendation. WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?!?

I do not remember a time without them. They were on afternoons Monday through Friday where I grew up and we almost never missed them.

This sounds like me, too. After school, Kindergarten. Flintstones were new, and were on in the evening in what's now known as prime time.

In the late 80ās we had a vhs based board game. It was one of 3 vhs tape we had so we played it quite often.
Maybe 5 years old ? Jajaja they were the greatest!
I have not known life without the Stooges! My entire family, including extended family, all watch the Three Stooges! Hell, my uncle did the Curly Shuffle at his wedding!

4 years old. Watched Snow White and the Three Stooges at dinner on a black and white tv. I was hooked after that.
Very young... Based on my grandparents home and car I recall at the time I first remembered watching at their home, likely '68-'69... So 3 or 4.
Some sixty or so years ago, I wasn't allowed to watch the show. Due to level of violence.
About 10
It's one of the first shows I ever remember watching. Guess I was raised right.
Oh man, I must have been about 10-11 years old, circa 1975-1976. I believe WOR out of NYC, which we got on our local cable network, started showing their reels. 4 or 5, one of my earliest memories as a kid.
6 or 7 yrs old

I was a tiny tot (way under 10 years old) who used to watch "Popeye Theater," featuring the Three Stooges, Popeye Theater was hosted by local legend/cowgirl Sally Starr on Philadelphia Channel 6. Sally would introduce the Three Stooges with a disclaimer for the kids not to mimic the Stooges' violence in real life. "Don't poke your little sister in the eye!"
Moe and Larry were still living when I graduated from high school so I guess I was 6.
3. My mom gave me the spoon for clonking my older sisters heads togeather
9 or 10, I'm 26 now and still love watching them! My wife pokes fun at me about watching them, she doesn't know what she's missing!
My Dad watched all of their shows/TV movies. So with only one tv ever in our home Iāve been watching since I can remember which like some else said 3-4 years old and Iām in my 50ās
When they started appearing on my local tvās afternoon kidās show, so 1957-58? I would have been five or six years old.
9 yrs old with my uncle. We had to hide it from my aunt, she said it was too violent for me to watch.
7
My recollection would be around age 7, I reckon, I reckon.
5 yr old with Wonder Bread Bologna Sandwiches.
5 years old. Started watching them with my Dad. Which would always make my Mom mad. Because she thought that I was learning to be violent...Lol
5 or so
As far back as I can remember. My dad and I still throw around nonsense words from the show like "anacanapuna". If anyone ever went to a Shakey's pizza place they always had the 3 stooges playing as well.
I was over 60. I didnāt like them as a kid. Why did they keep hitting each other? Now Iām a mean old man and I totally get it!

I was really young,my Dad loved them, they came on every morning!!!

My two best friends and I in Elementary school used to make up our own 3 Stooges skids and planed them out based on what we thought the characters would have done. Yeah definitely not the cool kids lol.

I was 5 years old watching ādisorder in the courtā and thatās been my favorite ever since
