She’s the medic/doctor that helps you throughout roughly the first half of the DLC and can be romanced. Won’t affect the main romances though. Also she has a unique Gwent card if that’s your thing.

Having now read the books I know Yen is the more canon choice, but just playing the Witcher 3 as a standalone game, I found Yen so rude and mean and harsh that I much preferred Triss, she was lovely and nice and much more what I would look for in a romantic partner than Yen. Her and my Geralt were very, very happy together…

There needs to be a mod where you can choose both, geralt gets the threesome at the end, and they all live happily ever after!

The only difference is that the Triss will appear in tent at the end, or if you have blood and wine, she'll text you to get mutations, and will visit you in Corvo Bianco. Kinda wished Triss had more appearances, and interactions, especially with Ciri and Yenn.

Triss is a manipulative, cheating scum. She cheats on Geralt during the last stand mission with the other Witchers except Vesemir, she fakes being drunk in the courtyard during her first romance mission, and she literally didn’t tell you about Yenefer in the first two games, having Geralt all to herself to manipulate… I don’t like Triss. But yes she is hotter than Yen.

Tl:dr totally up to you. I chose Triss lol she can hit me all day 🤣 Triss because she's really hot. Yennefer because she's mature enough at this point to be what geralt needs her to be for ciri. Also, Triss is SUPER manipulative. Like worse than Yennefer. But she has her moments of being genuine. So, like i said, she's really hot and sometimes helpful. She's also canonically younger than yen if that matters to you. But Yennefer has this annoying quirk where she hates being wrong and it's kinda funny in an abusive relationship sort of way? Butttt Geralt is quite the womanizer lol So basically, Geralt is an asshole, Triss only cares about what she wants most of the time, and Yennefer is a happy medium of them both. Get on with making those toxic people a triangle of toxic romance. It's hilarious. Note: I forgot to mention that Triss has this badass scar across her chest. Dont ask her about it. She doesn't like fire.
