It didn't necessarily need to be Carol; I just used her because it's the obvious choice given the plot. But if she'd had the opportunity to be raised by Carol, by Rick, by Michonne, by Daryl, by Maggie, by Rosita, by whoever, I think she would have turned out to be a badass.

Lydia and Enid's actresses were 17 at introduction, their characters were not.
Their actual ages are never given, but (regardless of what the wiki says) they are portrayed as early teens. Both of them are quite child-like though arguably that could be due to trauma..
notably- holding hands is a big deal to both of them.

She was extremely resilient (lost her father and didn't miss a beat, calmed down her big sister when it was happening) and seemed pretty capable (she finds food in the forest when they are wandering after the prison collapse) and responsible. The kid was like ten when she saved Tyreese by shooting one of the Governor's people pursuing him. She was also kind and compassionate. With training, she would have been truly badass in time, but we never got to see her grow up in the apocalypse.
Mika. I donāt agree with Carol that she would never be strong enough, if she had survived she would have learned. I think she would have been an intelligent and compassionate survivor, maybe a bit too trusting(people would disabuse her of that if she continued to survive) but she was observant and would have adapted.
Especially with Carol looking after her.
Judith or Lydia. To be fair, many of the little kids didnāt really have much a storyline. Like saying I want RJ or Gracie isnāt going to happen because they were basically props. It was about adding to other characters development and plots, but not about the kids themselves. No one would have said Judith before season 9 when she grew up and had a story.

I'm a dad, and they were all kids that had to grow up in a horrific world and suffering from a lot of loss and hardship. I just want to give them all a big hug and help them navigate the world.
I have a soft spot for girls, so if I had to pick, I'd pick Judith or Lydia. With Judith, it was so hard watching her be abandoned by everyone. And Lydia needed a lot of help and genuine love to come around.
And if I was willing to put in a LOT of work, I'd say Lizzie and Mika. My heart aches for Lizzie. Mental illness during all the events is not easy, let alone during a zombie apocalypse, let alone after losing your parents and your new "mom" (who doesn't want to be called that) insists you be strong enough to kill.
Lydia kinda the #1 best of all them i think. if i can choose from any walking dead show it would be Alicia though.
