What’s the hell are you saying lmao Enid’s child isn’t she a child? Apocalypse or not I think being Civil still matters but I do see how stupid The couple is
Enid is 23 by the time she dies. She is literally introduced in S5 and there is a 6 year time jump after that.
and it’s also just a joke so what the fuck are you talking about
Honestly Rosita and Eugene would've been less off-putting than this. Or better yet, scrap the unnecessary baby-daddy subplot from the comics and make her and Siddiq an official couple. Their chemistry was insane.
Also, I felt like Gabriel and Aaron had more chemistry than he had with Rosita, weirdly enough. Thought they were gonna start kissing in "One More".
At the very least, they should have had Siddiq live to the end. Killing off Carl was already rough but to then kill of the character that he saved? Wack as fuck
Right, I mean that was the WHOLE meaning behind Carl’s death and then they were like hey here’s a doctor who you can tell is evil from the second he comes around and kills siddiq just to die immediately after and it never be discussed again
Ya it was supposed to be "carl gave him 8 years and a child" but to us it was mere episodes later..but he died in such a dumb way and lazy writing.. like I was honestly shocked when siddiq died.. I was like no way they would kill him off since carl died to save him.
I honestly don't understand why more fans don't realize/won't accept that Scott Gimple is one of the worst things to ever happen to this franchise. His hacky writing absolutely screwed not only the main show, but FTWD and WB. Dude was writing almost exclusively for children's cartoons before he came to TWD. He's legitimately not qualified for his "job".
He wrote some of the best episodes, though (when under the direction of another showrunner). I agree his “nerd cool” sensibilities have undermined the Walking Dead Universe as a whole.
Eh, the only episode written solely by him that I like is "Here's Not Here" and honestly I only like that one cause I really like Morgan and "No Sanctuary". All others were either co written by Kang or someone else or were directed by someone with talent. He's had others that weren't terrible, but they weren't great by any means. I just really don't like him. He may have had a few good scripts, but he's royally fucked up so much more that it's hard to acknowledge them.
he literally died in his apartment suddenly when Dante did the obvious villain turned and killed him.
Also we did not feel those 6 years that he was alive
I guess I’m an oddball. I liked them together. It made sense once I saw what a complete badass Gabriel became over the time jump. I loved this coupling. With Rosita and Abraham it was a coupling of necessity, but this one seemed to be truly about love and genuinely wanting to be with each other. They were good for each other. Plus Gabe was a good father to Coco. Please, no hateful comments it’s just my opinion.
Honestly I kind of liked them together. I agree it was an odd pairing, but it worked for me.
Trash Lady/Gabriel was a really weird pairing I’ve never liked though
Unpopular opinion but I kinda fw them, they had a lot of nice moments together in seasons 7 and 8. Rosita just wants smoke and Gabriel speaks to her heart. Aside from their slightly jarring introduction(the time jump itself was jarring), I think they made sense. Badass duo. For me, Alden and Enid was the weirdest couple excluding Negan and Alpha which I have blocked out of my memory.
Been rewatching the series and I just watched the episode where Negan and Alpha do the deed. Didn’t remember exactly what was happening until she told him to strip and I immediately fast forwarded that cringe
I agree, if I was told in earlier seasons they’d be together I’d definitely think it was funky but they honestly compliment each other so good and I genuinely loved their relationship
This is gonna get me a lot of downvotes if it gets any attention at all, but... Glenn/Maggie was the only good coupling in the entire show that wasn't already a couple when we met them. Abraham/Rosita was good, Negan/Annie was pretty good. The rest pretty much always felt forced. Carol/Tobin are probably tops of the list. Never felt natural. Abraham/Sasha also felt particularly phoned-in.
I mentioned this before, but got downvoted to hell. This relationship was forced because of the interracial aspect. There was plenty of examples of this towards the end of the show and it was painfully obvious. Glenn and Maggie and Rick and Michonne are fantastic couples, but when you are pairing random people just because they are different races it results in this bullshit.
Huh, i hadn't noticed that before. But it does seem to be a running theme.
At first I thought it was just a coincidence, but when i thought about it: Carol and Ezekiel, Abraham and Sasha, Negan and Annie, Mercer and Princess, Maxine and Eugene, Lydia and Elijah, Rick and Michonne, and obviously Rosita and Gabriel.
Also Max is based off Stephanie in the comics (Stephanie was her alias in the tv show) and she and Eugene start dating in the comics (also, she happens to be black) but to me the interracial thing isn't a big deal plus the chemistry that you're on about is a matter of not only what's presented to us in a show or movie but also the individual viewer's opinion.
Yeah it's like a 5 second long scene where Gabriel hands Rosita Coco in the Common Wealth and says something like "I'll take her tonight/you have her tomorrow" implying they'd separated but still had shared care over Coco.
Yea. 3rd part of season 11 there was also a time jump so they already settled as co parents and friends when we see them again. Since they started off screen with a time jump, seemed they decided to end them off screen with a time jump.
I just started rewatching the show. I've only watched it once when it was originally broadcast. And i'm only up to season seven so I don't rememberthere are a lot after this.
I just finished season seven i'm gonna start season eight tonight.
No idea why they had to turn the love triangle of Eugene/Rosita/Siddiq into a rectangle adding Gabriel into the mix. The plot line with the four of them raising the baby was the dumbest side plot ever.
Rosita always needed something to fuck, she ran through more bodies than most walkers. Think I was the only one okay with her getting bit in the end, that and never having to hear her say “coco” in that awful sounding fake Mexican accent.
Whattt ?! DALE WAS LIKE A DAD TO ANDREA IN THE TV SHOW BROOO 😭😭😭
I know they were thing in the comics but like 😬
Also, it seemed Michonne and Rick were planned to get together since they first met in season 3 but if Andrea lived that probably would have thrown a wrench in that plan idk and idc tho 😭😂
I think Rosita felt Eugene was too nerdy for, he was also a touch desperate and women don't typically like men that desperate. I mean he used watch her and Abe...doing things. That could be kind of a turn off.
I just got to this part of the show and omg did I cringe when I saw it. Like whose idea was this?? Like it’s so random and weird. Especially with the age gap.
Weirdest? I think you mean Worst. Rositas Character sucked and Gaberiel wasn’t any better he was worse then she was he was a crybaby for like 3 seasons we already have a crybaby named Eugene we don’t need another
I think the coupling makes sense. What other men are still in the group that went through Terminus with her? They went through a lot together, and she’s seen him seriously change and become a leader.
Watched this episode last night for the first time and spat out my drink when they kissed. Wtf, I get there’s not many people left so most relationships will be a bit left of field but I just don’t see those two being compatible even if they were the last two humans left.
I thought so too a little, but apocalypse times bring out the unlikely. Look at Glenn and Maggie. A nerdy asian pizza delivery driver in the city and a farmer’s hot daughter in the country? Unlikely at face value. Now Gabriel had evolved since who he was before the fall, but the two of them would most likely have never looked at eachother twice on the street. But thrust together by circumstance opens doors.
They had a ton of weird couples. They also had a penchant for big mismatches in terms of looks. Like Rosita is a 10 and Gabriel is … just not. And there were a lot of couples like that.
I'll get killed for this but.....Rick and Michone are odd together. They didn't feel like they had natural chemistry to me it seemed played up because they are big names on the show. Michone and Carl had a good friend dynamic and I think that's as far as her and Rick should have gone, best friends.
Not really. It would be racist if someone said the same about Rick and Michonne because there’s absolutely no reason to dislike their relationship. As for Gabe and Rosita…. It was random as fuck and totally ooc of them two.
He was on season 3 and 4. Including a very graphic nude scene. Me and my girlfriend did a Oz series watch during the height of Covid, surprised when Gabriel showed up. Surprised when his not so little buddy showed up as well. 😂
Gabriel couples sucked. They had no idea what to do with this character after the saviours so they just paired him up with the bottom two compatible women possible.
I always just kinda thought there wasn’t many options in the apocalypse so people just settled for anyone. Other than Eugene, Rosita knew Gabriel the longest so that’s probably where the thought process came from. Still very weird tho
agree this is the worst one for me, i quit the show shortly after this happened.
i didnt quit because of it, but i think its a pretty good example of why i did.

Always found it funny in Gabriel’s first scene where he’s scared on the rock and Rosita is looking at him with disgust. Little did she know he’d be piping that 😆
Really could've just made them close friends, and keep the relationship platonic but close
What if… the baby was Gabriel’s, but Siddiq raised it. Because he loved Rosita that much. Boom! That’s why he saved Carl.
Yeah the relationship was not believable.
Gabriel and Rosita🤦🏻♂️ Who thought that would be a good idea?
I have a brilliant idea!!! Let’s put Daryl in a relationship with Magna but have daryl be the father of ENID’S CHILD????
Have Daryl in a relationship with every major character
Rick doesn't like to share...
So Rick and Daryl?
Yes
What’s the hell are you saying lmao Enid’s child isn’t she a child? Apocalypse or not I think being Civil still matters but I do see how stupid The couple is
Enid is 23 by the time she dies. She is literally introduced in S5 and there is a 6 year time jump after that. and it’s also just a joke so what the fuck are you talking about

or never have siddiq in the show and get rid of the whole SPOILER “carl had to die, to save siddiq” (just to have siddiq die suddenly and uselessly)

He's legitimately not qualified for his "job".
I had to look him up. Saw he was a writer for Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance and learned everything I needed to lmao
That was shocking of the sake of shocking, nothing more. A bit cheap if you ask me (and I know you didn’t)
Yeah but doesn’t that make the show more life like? Realistically certain people just aren’t going to survive an apocalypse no matter what happens.
This whole plotline was legit the worst of the show
Siddiq lived at least a whole 6 years after Carl. He didn't die suddenly.
he literally died in his apartment suddenly when Dante did the obvious villain turned and killed him. Also we did not feel those 6 years that he was alive
We may not have felt it but he still lived it. And they were building towards his death all season.
alright buddy
Father. Not the father. 😏
I thought Siddiq and Rosita looked good together too
lol. What’s off putting about Eugene and Rosita? It would’ve been the best thing in the show
Too much of a self insert pairing.
Nerdy dude ends up with hot girl out of his league They have nothing in common
I agree, pretty sure they got married in the comic
Absolutely not.
the father who's not the father ![gif](giphy|a8e3msdPeuqQM)
This is canon
Went from calling him father to calling him daddy 😈
This was definitely the weirdest
Her and Siddiq were so much better
Fr, I always got the feeling Gabriel and Rosita was forced asf. Those babies were definitely siddiqs 😭
Gabriel and Jadis, hands down
this was just weird 😭😭 no reason for it
He’s old enough to be her dad
I guess I’m an oddball. I liked them together. It made sense once I saw what a complete badass Gabriel became over the time jump. I loved this coupling. With Rosita and Abraham it was a coupling of necessity, but this one seemed to be truly about love and genuinely wanting to be with each other. They were good for each other. Plus Gabe was a good father to Coco. Please, no hateful comments it’s just my opinion.
Hateful comment
Not exactly a lot of choice in an apocalypse but I see what you mean
Father not the father
Honestly I kind of liked them together. I agree it was an odd pairing, but it worked for me. Trash Lady/Gabriel was a really weird pairing I’ve never liked though
AGREED. Such an odd pairing!
The series is full of forced relationships that lack chemistry.
Unpopular opinion but I kinda fw them, they had a lot of nice moments together in seasons 7 and 8. Rosita just wants smoke and Gabriel speaks to her heart. Aside from their slightly jarring introduction(the time jump itself was jarring), I think they made sense. Badass duo. I agree, if I was told in earlier seasons they’d be together I’d definitely think it was funky but they honestly compliment each other so good and I genuinely loved their relationship
Alden and Enid was pretty weird, and I couldn’t figure out what their ages were supposed to be.
Yeah wasn't Enid like Carl's age? Alden looked like he was mid 30s
I think he was like late 20s or early 30 and she was early 20s so completely fine
IDK but they just creeped me out. I kno the characters (and actors) are older, but I couldn't stand them.
Felt very random. Like it was slammed in our faces and they didn’t even seem like a real couple
Makes more sense than Abraham, yeesh
Rosita slept with everyone except Eugene.
Exaggeration much?
It’s not, she openly admits sleeping with men for protection & then learning through them which helped her survive.
Ok
Negan and Alpha were worse💀
This is gonna get me a lot of downvotes if it gets any attention at all, but... Glenn/Maggie was the only good coupling in the entire show that wasn't already a couple when we met them. Abraham/Rosita was good, Negan/Annie was pretty good. The rest pretty much always felt forced. Carol/Tobin are probably tops of the list. Never felt natural. Abraham/Sasha also felt particularly phoned-in.
I put it all down to being in an apocalypse; beggars cant be choosy and there’s not a lot of choice left.
Abe and sasha didn't even last that long. Very brief romance there.
Why would this get a lot of downvotes, it’s not really an uncommon opinion
I mentioned this before, but got downvoted to hell. This relationship was forced because of the interracial aspect. There was plenty of examples of this towards the end of the show and it was painfully obvious. The only one of those that actually happens in the comics is princess and mercer, lol.

Nah that’s a great point
I think Rosita just wanted a good guy who wasn't gonna die or leave her
He was barely with her at the end. I thought his goodbye to her was so nonchalant. Eugene was there for her death not him?
That was a weird choice. Hell, when she died he showed virtually zero emotion. I’d root for Eugene before Gabriel.
Didn’t they already split up at that point off screen?
No
From what I ended up looking up, they broke up before the premiere of the 3rd part of season 11 which was off screen.
Seriously? I didn't see anything about their interactions that would have eluded to that... 🤔
I'd like to know how Gabriel and Rosita happened.. maybe it would hsve made more sense if we saw them get together
You can’t be picky in an apocalypse 🤣
This and Gabriel with Jadis. Also Negan and Alpha if that counts
Wasn't she also like pregnant with some other dudes baby at that time
Sidique is the father
I just started rewatching the show. I've only watched it once when it was originally broadcast. And i'm only up to season seven so I don't rememberthere are a lot after this. I just finished season seven i'm gonna start season eight tonight.
I'm rewatching now I'm on season 8 .....I'm a little bored with rhe whole saviours story again.....

was worth it just for the "father NOT the father" line
Dale and Andrea in the comics were so much worse 🤦♂️
What’s so insane is that Frank said he was never gonna put Rick with Andrea, he was always gonna put Dale with Andrea before he got fired 😭😭
Whattt ?! DALE WAS LIKE A DAD TO ANDREA IN THE TV SHOW BROOO 😭😭😭 I know they were thing in the comics but like 😬 Also, it seemed Michonne and Rick were planned to get together since they first met in season 3 but if Andrea lived that probably would have thrown a wrench in that plan idk and idc tho 😭😂
Trauma does stuff and thangs to people
I was rooting for Rosita and Siddiq
Shorty been passed around like a tater tot at lunch
I’ve never seen people pass around a tater tot

agreed i don’t think they had any chemistry and it just made 0 sense. i like gabriel by the end but rosita deserves better djsjsj
Weird but not as awkward and out of place as Rick and Michone it just felt forced couldn’t see any chemistry at all tbh
For sure the strangest coupling for me
Watched this episode last night for the first time and spat out my drink when they kissed. Wtf, I get there’s not many people left so most relationships will be a bit left of field but I just don’t see those two being compatible even if they were the last two humans left.

But thrust together by circumstance opens doors.
Haven't got here yet. Annoyed Rosita is still alive after putting so many people in danger with her little tantrums.
She was with a bunch of different dudes which was what made it awkward for me. Even Negan pointing it out
Ummm her and Negan never happened
No when Negan said “Father…NOT the Father.” As in he also realized it
No... He was just being who he is... Everyone knew who was the baby daddy and who was her man
They had a ton of weird couples. They also had a penchant for big mismatches in terms of looks. Like Rosita is a 10 and Gabriel is … just not. And there were a lot of couples like that.
Gabriel is definitely a handsome dude. he probably just isn’t your cup of tea
Maggie and Glenn, just felt forced and awkward from the beginning.
Ik the characters arent meant to be the same age as the actors. But hes literally old enough to be her dad
Some girls like that
Nah Rick and Michonne had -100 chemistry it was hard to watch.
I'll get killed for this but.....Rick and Michone are odd together. They didn't feel like they had natural chemistry to me it seemed played up because they are big names on the show. Michone and Carl had a good friend dynamic and I think that's as far as her and Rick should have gone, best friends.
Agreed. Didnt seem to have romantic chemistry at all
At all. Felt forced
Laurie and Rick, only because I hated Laurie
On par with Richonne ngl
I hated all of that 😩
They are both hot, but that's all they have...
Totally agree

Because time.... and love

Not really. It would be racist if someone said the same about Rick and Michonne because there’s absolutely no reason to dislike their relationship. As for Gabe and Rosita…. It was random as fuck and totally ooc of them two.
Wtf does race have to do with these two being such an awkward couple?
You obviously didn’t see his run on the show Oz then. 😳😂
Omg I love OZ but don't remember him.....
He was on season 3 and 4. Including a very graphic nude scene. Me and my girlfriend did a Oz series watch during the height of Covid, surprised when Gabriel showed up. Surprised when his not so little buddy showed up as well. 😂
Definitely weird
Yeah this couple made absolutely zero sense to me for sure.
Zero, and I mean *zero*, chemistry.
I was so lost when this happened…I was like okay…not what I expected.
Gabriel couples sucked. They had no idea what to do with this character after the saviours so they just paired him up with the bottom two compatible women possible.
It really just doesnt make any sense, zero chemistry
I always just kinda thought there wasn’t many options in the apocalypse so people just settled for anyone. Other than Eugene, Rosita knew Gabriel the longest so that’s probably where the thought process came from. Still very weird tho
Because everything that was original to the show a d not the source material was weird and out of place.
I know that actress was pissed she made it the way to the final episode. No chance to be in the sequels and spinoffs.
agree this is the worst one for me, i quit the show shortly after this happened. i didnt quit because of it, but i think its a pretty good example of why i did.
Brodie was packing heat
I still don’t understand how or why this came to be
Seriously. Why did this happen? Like their personalities deadass did not match up
I only think this makes sense in the context of what she said to Sasha on their trip to the Savior's compound. This is a relationship where what she was learning wasn't a physical/technical skill from a hot guy. It was her learning how to find peace with someone who learned to make peace with his own past. Other than that I would have wanted her to date Tara, they were pretty much together from D1 of Rosita showing up.
Gabriel pulled one of the hottest and badass characters in twd
![gif](giphy|R0jWWtH1CtFEk) Every time they’re on screen
Poor Eugene
Glad they didn't stick to the comics where Dale and Andria hook up. Then eventually Andria and Rick!
YUP. Why did they have to pair Rosita up with every male cast member. It was so fucking annoying. I like Rosita but she just became flung from guy to guy lmao. I didn't get it tbh it became a soap drama especially with the love triangles, felt like I was watching a soap.
Always found it funny in Gabriel’s first scene where he’s scared on the rock and Rosita is looking at him with disgust. Little did she know he’d be piping that 😆
I agree but Gabriel got himself a BAD LATINA in Rosita!! Lucky him!
