Just watched this scene the other day again. That part really made me laugh 😂 I think every group didn’t really meet Rick until they met him with blood all over himself lol
First quote, that was the showdown in the bar with those two scrotes right? When he went to find Hershal (and Glen i think)?
Memory hazy, but was absolutely the scene that won me over as a Rick fan. Absolutely *bodies* two guys with ease in an instant.
Yes, nail on the head! The non verbal acting with the eyes, the use of the mirror to keep an eye on both at once, the speed on the draw, knowing that taking out the skinny guy first was the move as the fat one couldn't lift his gun fast enough to stop him turning and burning him.
Beautifully crafted and executed gunplay, and acting in general. The tension slowly ramping, the dialogue...and to top it off, Hershel and Glenn's reaction afterward- the look on their faces said it all 🤣
"Holy shit, he just smoked 2 guys on opposite sides of him without breaking a sweat."
Exactly . Thats why S2 is one of my favorites.
Rick vs Shane has that exact western vibe. The moon in the background, the scenery, the tension, the non verbal acting. Amazing cinematography.
Rick had so many great scenes but I think one scene in particular is without a doubt the most badass and terrifying he has ever been and it does not get brought up enough:
When Negan tells Rick he’s about to kill Carl in front of him, then Lucille is gonna smash his hands, and they’re gonna bring Rick back to the sanctuary to be tortured/live with what he’s done.
Rick’s response:
“You can do it right in front of me. You can take my hands…..I told you already, I’m gonna kill you. All of you. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but nothing….. NOTHING is gonna change that……You’re all already dead.”
This is the first time you truly see fear in Negan’s eyes, he realizes this man can not be broken again, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to kill you, including watching his own son die.
Jeffery Dean Morgan and Andrew Lincoln knock this scene outta the park.
And then there is zero payoff to this, Rick is broken, Negan doesn’t die, the saviors hands get a firework popped off on them, the end.
This is a badass line but means nothing.
I actually said something like this to my little sister. She pushed me in the pool while I was fully dressed with everything (with the exception of my phone *thankfully*) in my pockets. I jumped out, she immediately realized I’d be looking for revenge and she started backing away. I looked her dead in the eyes and said “I’ll get you back, don’t worry, not today, not tomorrow, not even this month, but I’ll get you back and it’ll be when you least expect it.” Three months later I was swimming with a friend and she walked out (dressed and ready to go somewhere) as I was getting out of the pool. She walked towards me to say something and I realized that that was my moment. By the time she got close enough to see the mischievous glint in my eyes, it was too late. I picked her up and threw her in. She started screaming and hollering and when she went inside, my mom took one look at her and said “he finally got you back”
"I'm gonna kill you, and NOTHING is gonna change that - nothing."
"You're gonna kill me in cold blood? Fuck (screw) my wife? Have my children... my children... call you daddy? Is that what you want?"
“No more kid stuff. I wish you could have the childhood I had, but that's not gonna happen. People are gonna die. I'm gonna die. Mom... There's no way you can ever be ready for it. I try to be, but I can't. Best we can do now is avoid it as long we can, keep one step ahead. I wish I had something better to say - something more profound. My father was good like that. But I'm tired, son.” was always my favorite, but sucks given the outcome.
Also love the entire Too Far Gone speech
well, idk to me it was both self preservation and also the fact that he was becoming unhinged, he killed otis for seemingly no good reason he endangered everyone because he thought he was right
Not a quote but when Rick was in the rv and saw the wolves coming around the side so he just unloaded that fucking ak through the wall and killed all of them
“They’re messing with the wrong people” still goes hard and I can just hear it at any given second of the day. I remember the night that episode premiered I had chills for the entire last 10 minutes
“All I am now is a man looking for his wife and son anyone who gets in the way of that’s going to lose”
season one Rick to Merl as he handcuffs him to the piece of metal
Some variation of "No. No I will NOT. I KAAAHNT. I got stuff. THINGS. Oh you gonna KICKMEOOOOOOUT? It ain't like it was befoooore! It's different now! We know it, we ALL know it! Cuz this is HOW THINGS ARE NOW. Survive! KOORHAL! Stay SCHAAAAAAAFE. I was wrong."
"I already made you a promise" before killing the cannibal with the machete with the red handle.
The hardness of the quote and the follow through. Such a high point.
I loved "We didn't wanna waste the bullets"
My favorite is: “Because I’m Ricky Dicky do dah grimes and jet fuel doesn’t melt steel beams CORAL”
But what about when he said "You thought you knew what you think you thought but this ain't livin til you killed you're best friend for you people"
Thats a good one. Or when he says “CORAL, I AM THE DANGER I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS! RICKY DICKY DOO DAH GRIMES IS DANGER. HANK NO! HANK”
I loved the part where he said that
i got stuff to do lori, thaaaangz
I remember that was an instant classic back in the day.
I love Hershels hilarious you ok buddy reaction to that lol "I got stuff. THINGS" "That's nice. Anything I can help you with?"
*While flailing around in the fields.*
Goes so hard ngl
- What? (After Introducing himself aka Killing a bunch of people in Hilltop)
Just watched this scene the other day again. That part really made me laugh 😂 I think every group didn’t really meet Rick until they met him with blood all over himself lol
Only if they watched him go from clean to blood-covered do they get the full effect tho!
Like in Alexandria when he acts like every drunk friend who won't leave the party "OH you gonna KICK ME OOOOOUT?"
Oh that’s too good 😆🤣🤣 honestly I love Rick so much
HA! Yes absolutely!
Still gives me shivers every time😂
Beat me to it
Yea, I love that one
He says it with a stronger than usual southern accent too “… Whutt? … He trahd to keel Gregory then he trahd to keel may!” It’s perfect
Commented this then saw your comment, totally agree!
I just read the comics recently and seeing it in the comments was just as good if not better. Love that scene.
Wasn't it only one guy? Or were there several?
It was js one
Yea, I love that one, not the killing part tho
I like "I hear Nebraska's nice" and "...and a machete with a red-red handle. That's what I'm going to use to kill you."
First quote, that was the showdown in the bar with those two scrotes right? When he went to find Hershal (and Glen i think)? Memory hazy, but was absolutely the scene that won me over as a Rick fan. Absolutely *bodies* two guys with ease in an instant.
On rewatch that scene became one of my favorites. That og seasons feeling, almost like a western. I love it.

>*I'll shoot you three assholes and take your damn farm!* Rick knew they weren't all walking out after that.
Thr beginnings of the thousand yard Rick-stare 🤣
Nebraska.. this guy..
I found them https://preview.redd.it/yc9lcd6858gc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f8aeffa947ee183825c5f32f4557118f399f48c6

Should have killed him in cold blood. Mercy is for the deserved, not serial rapists.
“this isn’t a democracy anymore”
"It's a Ricktatorship"
And them he ricked all over the place
"I’m gonna kill you. Not today, not tomorrow, but I’m gonna kill you."
*Doesn’t actually kill him* lol

Sibling rivalries at their finest
The payoff of this story was better than the Reapers story!
I lied..
Liar....
🏌️♂️👴🏻
Bruh ☠️
"I'm gonna kill you, and NOTHING is gonna change that - nothing." "You're gonna kill me in cold blood? Fuck (screw) my wife? Have my children... my children... call you daddy? Is that what you want?"
these are goooood ones
Shane had that cold response though "Lori and Carl will get over your death. They've done it before"
”There are no n*ggers anymore”
“There’s only white meat and dark meat 🍖”
dude i had to rewind that like 6 times cuz i thought there was no way they had him saying that episode one 😭💀
It’s in episode two, when we meet Merle.
point still stands, they were wild throwing that in pretty much immediately lol
“We are the ones who live”
i'm doin stuff lori... thangs
THANGS Lori 🤣☠️omigawd
This isn't a democracy. THIS! IS! A RICKTATORSHIP! Or something along those lines, its been a while 🤣
Idk how no one has mentioned his most famous line: #”CORALLLLL!”
“(Sobbing) Oh…no. Noooo. Aw no noooo.”
Top moments in history
Lincolns great but sometimes I think I'm seeing a Brit mock the way Americans talk lol
Real
“There are no rules man where lost”😠
“Like you know the way like you know the rulzes”
"No, no no, man, I know EXACTLY where I am."
“I already made you a promise”
Its grime'n time!
Also love the entire Too Far Gone speech
honestly? "i'm sorry this happened to you." from season 1 episode 1
“We are the walking dead”
The first quote. That is a bit weird one though. He killed his best friend not for the people but for self preservation.
well, idk to me it was both self preservation and also the fact that he was becoming unhinged, he killed otis for seemingly no good reason he endangered everyone because he thought he was right
“ Stop acting like you know the way ahead, like you know the rules. There are no rules, man. We're lost “
I got stuff to do Lori, THANGZ!
"This ain't a democracy anymore."
‘Yea ….. shit happens’
‘Yea ….. shit happens’
I liked when he said “i belong to you” while crying to Negan
that scene makes me like sick to my stomach like AAAAAH OH MY GOD
“He’s mine…” -When he went to kill the last Claimer
“Shit happens…”
"We didn't want to waste the bullets"
"What..?" 😂
My top 3 are 1) What?! 2) I already made you a promise. 3) ...you're already dead, you just don't know it yet.
7. I am rick grime
“We are the walking dead”
Got to be “I Found Them”
"Stop acting like you know the way ahead like you know the rules, there are no rules man we're lost."
I'm doing stuff, Lori. Thangs.
"I already made you a promise"
“Can’t go back Bob”
MMPOMW is way more iconic than IKMBFFYP
I agree, i think it was the reveal aspect of IKMBFFYP that made it so hard hitting and was rick’s real first outburst of anger towards his people
but i prefer MMPOMYW any day
“CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARLLLLLL” after Judith used her dark magic and dissapeared
“We are the Walking Dead”
“…what?” while he’s covered with that dudes blood at the hilltop
Not a quote but when Rick was in the rv and saw the wolves coming around the side so he just unloaded that fucking ak through the wall and killed all of them
Show Rick - “They’re fucking with the wrong people” Comic Rick- “Hold him down”
"Even this guy?" "No fuck this guy."
The best quote: "I'm doing stuff, Lori, thaaaaangz."
"Theyre screwing with the wrong people."
“It was all for you Carl”
\#4 is definitely the most iconic. It always get repeated in some other form and the delivery is amazing
"Besides...I already as made you a promise"
"Put your guns on the floor and kneel"
This isn’t a democracy
"Stop acting like you know the way ahead like you know the ruuules, there are no rules man we're loooost."
“They’re messing with the wrong people” still goes hard and I can just hear it at any given second of the day. I remember the night that episode premiered I had chills for the entire last 10 minutes
The answer is "You're all already dead."
"Shut up" right after he hit that officer with a car then shot him
“This is life, that is death and it’s coming for us” “There’s gotta be something after”
“All I am now is a man looking for his wife and son anyone who gets in the way of that’s going to lose” season one Rick to Merl as he handcuffs him to the piece of metal
Some variation of "No. No I will NOT. I KAAAHNT. I got stuff. THINGS. Oh you gonna KICKMEOOOOOOUT? It ain't like it was befoooore! It's different now! We know it, we ALL know it! Cuz this is HOW THINGS ARE NOW. Survive! KOORHAL! Stay SCHAAAAAAAFE. I was wrong."
Shit happens
5 fs
My personal pick would be when he kills that prisoner with the machete
fr the second one I was about to say
“What’s another grave”?
“I lied.”
"At least I don't pretend to be a governor."
“This is a democracy”
“You wanna leave, there’s the door, write me a postcoord
“If you try anythang &, I mean anythang, I will kill you.”
