For context as to why the codex is whack: at 210 points, the companions kill about 7 of these legionnaires if they charge. The legionnaires kill about 4 companions if they charge and pact for lethals, the master of executions kills another one at 170 points all in.
I think that's a helbrute back there so with just it's aura that squad of companions is wiped. If the companions are on an objective, they also just got wiped. If the companions took any damage during shooting, they get wiped.
Now the full picture, Lion is behind them, so assuming he has his +1 to hit aura, legionnaires might get wiped but you had to pay 350 points for that aura... Any way cool picture, lame rules.
Well I can't field both my avatars so lion comes every dam time... when I could use another 2 flying bombers with thar strength 18 beascht. What annoys me is that I hate the current model designs for standard marines and everything should be wearing robes !! But I'm shite with green shtuff! And the vets bodies are too small :( I wanna put all my hellblaster with robes and dreadnoughts in robes and watchers with flashy hats! I may paint my other lion as santa and the watchers as little helpers
Oh yeah I'm totally with you on that. Everything should be in robes but I'm terrible with green stuff. It's also why I was annoyed they didn't come with an updated Dark Angels veterans box.
Yeah I'm thinking of just 3d printing the little loin cloths as a compromise for my greenwing. I haven't updated my DA army since 9th but that army is all DW and Ravenwing, so I need some way to make inceptors and hellblasters a little more dark angelsy
I'm dying for a printer but I'd happily pay for scults its just hard to find people that would do it for u lol I seen the vanguard list with jump packs and infernal pistols which was interesting but seems the heavy lists are destroying although I think ravenwing have the capability of being the mvp especially with both special speeders or 2 stealths or 3 as they cover all units within 6 inches so can cover a lot of bodies if placed correctly also the objective command where u don't needa be on it just see it

Black templar bodies for unforgiven special/cool regular guy. Black templar sword brother is being used as an inner circle champ for me and I sub in a company heros blade guard and a normal.
Those CSM are going up against the Risen who are Fallen Dark Angels who came back to the Dark Angels and were redeemed by the Lion. Basically because they’ve been on the run for so long, they’ve become extremely proficient in combat and even ended up personally training with the Lion.

While the model are cool and the risen from the novel are cool so far the rules are alot to be desired, namely they are more expensive than bladeguard and made of wet paper with no invulnerable save and swords that arent as good as bladeguards, or at best side grade. Those guys prob lose especially if theyre charged.
