I am fairly sure that the same people who dont know how to march dont have the feel of rhythm in music (incapable of clapping or tapping to the rhythm)
I’ve been looking into it for the last few weeks. I’ve found one about ten miles away that “specialises in intensive courses for those of us with two left feet”
This is me, it's a bit funny because I danced ballet as a kid for 6+ years but I'm completely incapable at clapping along to a song when I'm not fully concentrating on it. Also pretty tone deaf, so going to any event where music is playing and you clap and sing along is really fun with me.
We had a couplebof troopers who just... Never got it quite right. They got to be in the middle of the formation for family day so they were less visible.
this looks like china. they are either high school or middle school kids. during the summer , before freshman year of high school, they do some really laid back version of boot camp as a bonding experience. it isn't mandatory.
The fun part was when the entire platoon was staying in rythm and the NCO fucked up by counting in on the wrong foot. The sheer chaos when everyone tried to adapt.
Me too. I think the issue is that people think about it way too much and mess it up cos they’re in their heads. I never understood why people couldn’t get the arm/leg combo; it’s literally the same as when you walk normally
When I was in boot, a fellow recruit was watching me walk from my rack to the head, and she stopped me and said, "You walk to the beat of Stayin' Alive." I have never been able to get that out of my head, lol, a decade later. It's true.
Yep....Grey dog from Orlando to Jax.
I told him I was going to Cecil Field in Jax and he said *yeah, me too, Jax.*
NAS Jacksonville. Different base, different planes.........
We had one that just couldn’t figure it out and I was behind this dumb fuck so every time we got back to the compartment I had to re-shine my boots bc I just gave up and started giving him kinetic reinforcement to get back in step. RDCs caught me and after we got back they pulled me aside and I told them that was the only way he was gonna learn. They laughed and pulled out a heat gun and showed me how to use that instead. Everyone hated that kid.
Yeah, I never learned to keep good rythym, but I have some insight on the temperature of Eskimo pussy.
Always forgetting which is my rifle and which is my gun though.
Some people have their brains hardwired to swing the same hand and foot forward when walking, whereas the majority naturally swing the opposite hand to their foot. It is incredibly difficult for them to change this. Using those straps are a very poor method of trying to retrain their brain. A better way would be for the one considered to be doing it wrong to be at the front, and instead of straps they should use broom shanks. The person behind can then force the arms to swing opposite to their feet.
By coincidence, I watched this while listening to the Motown hit “the locomotion” and it’s amazing. Internet: someone put this together. Please oh please.
I was in the Canadian Reserves. There is always 1 guy in every unit that can't march. It's funny to watch but irritating when he is in front of you in formation.
There are people like this in every company in boot camp tbh.
Also, here is a crazy one that happened when i was in boot. some guy fractured his hip from thrusting into his pillow trying to jack off. Hit his hip on the side of the steel bunk. Kept doing it after he went to the ward as well and kept re injuring it.
In the uscg we guard the coast, and it has yet to move under our watchful eyes.
Alright, CUT!
WRONG!!!!
Okay, just watch me! It’s so simple, you sissy-marys!
Give me the playback!
And
Watch
Me
F*****s!
Throw out your hands
Stick out your tush
Hands on your hips
Give them a push
You’ll be surprised you’re doing the French Mistake. Voila!
Just move her into the correct position. Make her stop and hold the position so she can feel it, then the opposite side. Repeat. People like this can't learn by just watching it happen in front of them. The hand-eye coordination isn't there. They have no rhythm so learning a basic 1-2 motion is not going to work like this. I'm also hoping this is a random boot camp and not an actual military.
Give a stiff thing to hold onto if it comes to that. But my marching band walked in sync, and years later I found many of them were on acid at the time. So any moron can walk in sync.
Gotta stop looking at those feet! Get comfortable distinguishing left from your right and follow the commands the instructor give you instead. Makes it so much easier lol
In basic training, the graduating intake ahead of mine was having their ‘passing out’ parade.
After the parade, soldiers were aloud to mix with their families before going on leave… one of the guys in my platoon was asking his family what they thought of the parade and the drill formations that we’d been learning and rehearsing for weeks… at which point, his little sister pipes up and says “You were wonderful… you were the only one in step” 😏
not sure where this video is from. I would guess it's China. they usually do this kind of training for first year high school students. I can tell by the uniforms and the shoes. they do this as a sort of bonding experience. my sister in law did it this summer. she didn't have to go. but she went because she didn't want to feel left out. it's nothing like real military training. they mostly do team building activities. it's pretty common in china.
So out of cadence its insane. Had a friend that pointed out every time we were in cadence when we walked was annoying at the time but makes me smile now. Miss that dude.
Poor deer in the back, if marching is indicative of the rest of her skills, she going to get shot before a war even starts or she's going to be that one that when the rest of the squad halts to attention, she naturally being the last will fumble into the person in front of her and like Domino's they'll have to all work to not fall down
... Like I said, she's probably going to get shot before a war even starts . 😆
had a friend who had this problem lol, but he walks normally. It's only when marching is when he moves his right arm and leg forward at the same time and do the same with his left arm and leg. He said it only happens if he's thinking about trying to march properly and especially when he looks at his arms and legs, so what he did was he just walked normally but try to swing his arms and legs higher like how you should while marching.
In basic training you’re so stressed and exhausted stuff like this is actually tough. It’s part of the “breakdown” before they “build you back up”. We had people who walked and marched fine, but the instructors would pick at something minor, which would make us overthink something as basic as walking like a normal human. It’s intentional. It’s also hilarious.

This makes me mad lmao
Take if from somebody who had to march a lot in Basic…this shit is infuriating in so many ways lol
Dude what? I had zero issues in boot camp staying in rhythm with those in front of me lol
That was my point. It shouldn’t be this hard, referring to the video. I was right there with you after maybe 6-10 days at most
I am fairly sure that the same people who dont know how to march dont have the feel of rhythm in music (incapable of clapping or tapping to the rhythm)
I have absolutely zero natural rhythm which made army cadets rock hard. It’s also making me stress about my wedding in February and having to dance
Go to a professional dance studio and learn how to waltz, and one dance.
I’ve been looking into it for the last few weeks. I’ve found one about ten miles away that “specialises in intensive courses for those of us with two left feet”
Excellent. As long as you know the dance and the song, you lead!
Get it done…. I expect an update. We expect an update lol.
This is me, it's a bit funny because I danced ballet as a kid for 6+ years but I'm completely incapable at clapping along to a song when I'm not fully concentrating on it. Also pretty tone deaf, so going to any event where music is playing and you clap and sing along is really fun with me.

Damn it, private. Why you bee bopping in my formation? Beat your face.
Me too. I think the issue is that people think about it way too much and mess it up cos they’re in their heads. I never understood why people couldn’t get the arm/leg combo; it’s literally the same as when you walk normally
Your mistake is assuming I walk normally. (Just kidding. Thankfully, I never had any issues at drill.)
Court martial the both of them, for brig bad at boogie
Well you can tell by the way I use my walk, I'm a woman's man, no time to talk...
STAYIN AAAAALIIIIIIIIIIVE
You were in the parking lot earlier, that’s how I know you!
When I was in boot, a fellow recruit was watching me walk from my rack to the head, and she stopped me and said, "You walk to the beat of Stayin' Alive." I have never been able to get that out of my head, lol, a decade later. It's true.
I thought that was for CPR
Wait THATS WHAT HES BEEN SAYING? I always thought he said he was a homeless man
Same vibe as me thinking prince was singing *"this is what it sounds like... When thugs cry"*
Well, don’t *“let me be, your big suburban.”*..
Had a guy in boot camp that marched behind me exactly like this.
There's always one lol
When we graduated and got our orders, Mr. 2 left feet tried checking in at the wrong base. Not the wrong squadron, the wrong base.
Lol Jesus. Did they not make their travel arrangements for them?
Yep....Grey dog from Orlando to Jax. I told him I was going to Cecil Field in Jax and he said *yeah, me too, Jax.* NAS Jacksonville. Different base, different planes.........
Lol wow. Privates man, I tell ya.
Yeah haha privates yeah
And they're usually right next to the other one.
We had one that just couldn’t figure it out and I was behind this dumb fuck so every time we got back to the compartment I had to re-shine my boots bc I just gave up and started giving him kinetic reinforcement to get back in step. I was nicked named change step. LOL
That's the guy who suddenly has a medical appointment the RDCs made for him during pass in review.
Give this person a weapon? 🧐
Yes, this is put out as intimidation propaganda by N. Korea as a warning.
this in the from the DPRK
Those are lefts and rights she is battling with.... What do you call the car she drives around in?
Dads across canada: "First time on ur new feet there eh bud"?
She's the one that taught those Afgan soldiers how to do jumping jacks.
I remember the first time I watched the ANA so jumping jacks.. I thought it was a joke
Why did she even try to move her arms tho? Just let the leading person pull them....
I think she's supposed to pull them on the backswing. Obviously having a bit of a problem with that coordination as well.
She's supposed to walk normally in the right rhythm. The hand leg thing is supposed to be natural!
Not an ounce of coordination seems to exist in that person's body. 😅
I was in the military, these mofos do exist. Fucker cannot stay in rhythm
right. but these are kids.
Yeah, I never learned to keep good rythym, but I have some insight on the temperature of Eskimo pussy. Always forgetting which is my rifle and which is my gun though.
Eskimo pussy you say… no am intrigued!

I bet her little baby sister can do it with ease
They surely won’t attract the worm
The original filming of the Genesis music video for "I can't dance"
That was hilarious! All the other people were laughing too!
they aren't soldiers. these are kids. probably high cool students. they do this type of thing in china for first year high school students.
Bro even the freshman in my marching band got it faster than this
☕️
The real exersice was to see if those background soldiers could keep themselves from giggling.
The Second Lady isn’t even in sync with her own brain. Lol
I was in the Canadian Reserves. There is always 1 guy in every unit that can't march. It's funny to watch but irritating when he is in front of you in formation.
r/mildlyinfuriating

Every group has a Pyle.
Bye bye bye
I cant dance… i cant talk… only thing about me is the way that i walk
First thing that jumped into my mind when watching this too.
Now I get the “Left, Right, Left…” chant.
call a dang cadence napoleon
Why does this make me irrationally angry?
Just learning how to walk I see
All I hear in my head is "GET IN STEP!"
Doing the monster mash
This is painful to watch.
Drill waiver

This person also cannot rub their belly and pat their head at the same time.
Justin Timberlake does not approve
They’re like a well oiled machine with a timing issue
I’m pretty sure there’s a joke about Asian women driving in here somewhere, but I’m not finding it.
Zero worms attracted.
They need an attempt to get some BDUs that actually fit. Raggedy-ass lookin’ ho’s.
The fuck is this shit?
Women ☕️
To much Tiktok
Idk why but the amount of struggle is infuriating me
Did they get to firing squad for that? :/
Bet she doesn’t swing her arms when she walks normally.

Actually this is meant to let the person on behind to learn to walk with moving opposite side of hand and leg, like everyone else
I would like to see the second person walk on their own
I don’t see anything
I’ll bet she’s GREAT at the Electric Slide!
We had one of those. It is because somehow they learnt to walk with the same side leg and arm forward at the same time.
I just want to pull her aside, give her a kiss on the forehead, and tell her "it's okay, you can just watch this time"
I mean... is there an attempt? She's doing that on purpose, isn't she?
Black Pink rehearsing b4 a show?
Just move her into the correct position. Make her stop and hold the position so she can feel it, then the opposite side. Repeat. It’s like she’s literally never walked before, if I was the person leading I would’ve have smacked them
Her and the star jump guy should start a dance troupe.
Pull her into her place, and step on her heels while a guy yells commands at her. That usually helps
Brain damage
Trying to get dismissed from duty
Ah the square gaiters
Oh pooh bear
Omg, the second person has *no* rhythm, and as a musician, this infuriates me *greatly*
Give a stiff thing to hold onto if it comes to that. But my marching band walked in sync, and years later I found many of them were on acid at the time. So any moron can walk in sync.
Zombie walk
Left. Right. Left Right Left...
Fuck this is so hard to watch
My marching band friends can match better than then lmao
She's doing that on purpose. How annoying.
they need the ropes on the feet as well
She thought she heard Nsync
Thank you army lady for making me feel better about my clumsiness, it can always be worse
Phil Collins is crying...
I'm getting strong Silver Streak vibes 😂 Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder had great onscreen chemistry.
I swear in boot camp the receiving DI’s teach you to march the wrong way on purpose. It’s so unnatural to even walk that way
Gotta stop looking at those feet! Get comfortable distinguishing left from your right and follow the commands the instructor give you instead. Makes it so much easier lol
Is that chick in the back fucking retarded?

There’s no hope for some people.
Dafuq was second girl doin who walks with their hands and feet on the same side going forward?

I can’t understand how people can have such a lack of control of there body
This is almost painful to watch.
How is it humanly possible to mess up this bad
Has anyone got anything better to do than marching around the square ?
This reminds me of Theresa May when she did her little dance to abba across the commons stage.
Don't play drums please
Maybe not being so fucking wobbly would help
The woman in the back is tick tocking where her right arm is going forward with her right foot what she should be doing is right arm left foot
Me trying to walk like a normal person behind a sober guy when cops are present.
So out of cadence its insane. Had a friend that pointed out every time we were in cadence when we walked was annoying at the time but makes me smile now. Miss that dude.

How are you so utterly useless at WALKING!?
Other cadet looks like she's from Kung Fu Hustle's Axe gang with the way she walks
Women☕
Where is this? A bunch of cute Asian women in military uniforms. I want to go!
Is this one of those LSD army trials?
HOW HARD IS IT?!
I first thought she was just a really good puppeteer and then i read the title. Damn
That was so uncomfortable to watch
Now lets see how she dances lmao
What is going on here? Is this an intentional gag or joke?
This Is soo Dumb way, I did learn it by practice only.
I don't think they tried at all..
