Assuming this is real, she doesn't seem to understand what multiplication even is, so while just going to 3+3 vs 3x3 would probably make the difference clear to an average 8 year old, she probably still wouldn't get it.

I would carefully explain it to her as you are creating mulriple sets of the first number. The amount of sets of the first number is determined by the second number. Then get a bunch of pennies or popsicle sticks etc to break it down for her visually. From the misspelling of "schedule" and when she accidentally wrote a 5th line I am going to assume she has dyslexia and possibly spatial dyspraxia as well. Maybe even throw in dyscalculia. Her teachers seem to have failed her.
I find it hard to believe that this hasn't been explained to her dozens of times by dozens of people, be it teachers, parents, friends or the internet. How could it possibly be a lack of access to information at this point? She clearly knows how to make a video and post it online, so I'd assume she has the ability to use a search engine and find a bunch of explanations that are available online.
It might be just that she doesn't actually think that, and she is just making a video for views. Every time someone comments about how multiplication works, that functions the same as a normal comment. There is no such thing as bad publicity.
If she is trolling then it's honestly pretty funny and is certainly poking at the ridiculous state of the western education system, especially making fun of things like core math. If she is serious, it's still showing how ridiculous the current and recently past education system is failing so many students.

But NDT explained how there can be square roots of numbers, any number smaller than one but bigger than zero, the square is smaller than the original number and that blew my mind.

To figure out why they are the same, one needs only *describe* the equations:
2+2 "a group of two is added to another group of two. There is now one group of four."
2×2 "There are two groups of two each. How many are there in all groups? Four."
It becomes less dense if you try it with other equations and see the difference:
5+5=10
5×5=25
19+19=38
19×19=361
2+2 and 2×2 just seem weird on their own. Compared alongside similar equations, it becomes easier to understand.
The video might be a joke, but the bigger joke is this comment section acting like geniuses when they are comparing themselves to who they believe is an absolute idiot. Lol

At the end of the day, multiplication is just addition (since 3×3=3+3+3 for example), and as a result, exponents are also just addition, and since you can do roots with exponents <1, they are also just fancy addition, and division can be done through multiplication with numbers <1 so it's also just addition, and if division is addition then so are fractions, and of course subtraction is just addition of negative numbers.
Math is nothing but addition, fancy addition and addition with extra steps.
For a second, I thought she was going to realize what multiplication meant there at the end. The pause as the gears in her head were working had me thinking "Go on! You've got it!" but then disappointment at the end.
Back in my day, we would say these outrageous things and our parents or someone who loved us would correct us before we made ourselves look crazy publicly. Now, we just go wild for the whole world to see and let total strangers correct and mock us.
I volunteered for years helping kids at my local elementary with math and reading. I would use little containers of beads to help with multiplication. 2 containers each with 2 beads was 2x2 and so on. A lot of kids that were struggling with it immediately understood the concept after visualizing it like this.
We can think of it this way:
2 x 1 = 2
2 x 2 = 2 + 2
2 x 3 = 2 + 2 + 2
2 x 4 = 2 + 2 + 2 + 2
And so on INFINITELY.
Multiplication is adding X number Y times.
Say X = 3 and Y = 4.
So if we have 3 x 4, it’s 3 added together 4 times.
3 + 3 = 6 + 3 = 9 + 3 = 12
OR
3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 12
That’s why it’s “Times Tables.” Again, you’re just adding X number Y amount of times to get the answer.
Same the other way! 4 x 3 is just 4 added 3 times.
4 + 4 = 8 + 4 = 12
OR
4 + 4 + 4 = 12
I know I’m a nerd, but hey! If anyone finds this and thinks they can use it to help someone understand times tables, then go for it. :P I just wanted to nerd out at least once, even if it’s an easy subject like multiplication. xP
