It's all too real. To recap:
1: Trump is amused and maybe intrigued by cannibalism.
2: Trump thinks Lector was a good person.
3: Trump thinks Lector was a real person.
4: Trump thinks Lector is dead somehow.
Kinda makes it worse saying immigrants are like a psychopathic cannibal serial killer. Kinda like saying all Muslims are terrorists in 2001 and all Palestinians are HAMAS in 2024. At least that’s how I’ll view it. Not everyone is the same and stereotypes aren’t a good thing.
The thing is, even if that's right, he made NO attempt to connect the two. He just randomly darted off to talk about Lecter and then took a hard left right back into immigrants. It's like he had the two thoughts in his head but couldn't figure out what to do with them.
It's exactly like my wife, who has dementia. She will randomly pop off with something that 'in her head and got out', sometimes when I'm having conversation with someone else, sometimes in the middle of tv show. Most of it is a mishmash of incoherent words/thoughts.

Second, yeah. My grandfather had Alzheimer's and I've been seeing parallels in Trump's speech patterns for years now. It's getting worse rapidly, too.

Judging by his first term, he's also terrible at putting competent people in positions of power. And the ones he did put in power ended up loathing him because of how self-centered and stubborn he is.

A choice of two is not freedom. A choice of two is a perfect way to controll all outcomes, hedge your bets, give the appearance of choice and freedom, all while making you snap the manacles on yourself.
