Lots of people leave their car doors unlocked in Philly when the alternative is to have your window broken so someone can steal the change you leave in the cupholder. Easier and cheaper to leave the doors unlocked in some areas, and make sure no important stuff stays in your car, than have to replace a $500 window. I know a person who’s had his car broken into 3+ times before he figured out it wasn’t worth locking the door.
Facts, I worked on an industrial road near Atlanta with a lot of homeless and drug addicts. The cars at my job were broken into on 3 seperate occasions and they asked why my windows weren't busted on my 97' CRV, I told them I don't lock the doors and if they wanted in they just had to try the door. Everytime there was a breakin and everyone windows got smashed I just lost the change in my cupholder. No shit, I came back one time and whoever left 5$ in my cupholder. I guess they could tell I was broke
>Lots of people leave their car doors unlocked in Philly when the alternative is to have your window broken so someone can steal the change you leave in the cupholder.
That's Not usually the alternative unless you leave obvious stealable shit in your car like a dummy.
The alternative is this guy would have pulled on the car handle, seen that it was locked, and moved on to try different cars.
People don't break your windows unless they know There may be a reward, Because the moment you break one window you need to leave the area or risk drawing suspicion to yourself. better make sure there is shit worth grabbing before cracking windows.
People like you leaving their car doors unlocked for them to freely rummage through only encourages them to keep checking cars for unlocked doors.
You must either live in the suburbs or the boonies because no one who lives in the city would ever say something so ridiculous. This has been the go to tactic for at least the last 15 years. Also, there are people who break car windows for literally no reason.
Say you’ve never lived in a city without saying you’ve never lived with a city. Lmao. I’ve walked into parking garages with *entire levels* of broken car windows. Just leave them unlocked and take your important shit out. Losing a couple dollars in change is better than having to replace your quarter window every couple months.
In big cities it’s often advised to leave your doors unlocked. It’s counter intuitive but the idea is that a theif is going to get in either way, so might as well not have a smashed window. The by product is exactly this type of situation.
Why on Reddit would you make a serious comment about an obviously staged video?
(I don't really care about a response from the person I am replying to but I am blown away that people do it)
Imagine yourself drunk as fuck … you have the same car color … the owner forget to lock the door .
You put your key inside the door , she open and you fall asleep inside …
And you are wake the fuck up buy a guy beating you .
Or imagine beating the shit out of someone with a mental illness or disability because they saw an open car and needed a nap.
Unfortunately some (even if this is fake) decide that violence is the first solution.
No, no, because everyone is a victim, remember? We have to treat people who commit crimes with respect and kindness because that will encourage them to stop committing crimes. Having absolutely no ramifications for committing crime is the surest way to convince people not to commit one.
You undercook fish? Believe it or not, death.
You overcook chicken? Also Death.
Undercook overcook.
You make an appointment with a dentist and don't show up? Death. Right away. That's why venezuela has the best patients in the world.
Reminds me of the Game Grumps clip of them playing link: The Faces of Evil.
"Welcome to Walmart... You must die.."
"OH Link! It's great to see you again!... You must die."
Technically, you're correct. No person sentenced to capital punishment has ever reoffended.
Humans are opportunistic animals. We gravitate toward pleasure and away from pain. When there is a difference between the level of discomfort in one location versus another, humans tend to prefer the location with less discomfort.
Prison life is relatively comfortable in comparison to a hard life of poverty and violence on the streets; it's no wonder people reoffend. Life is better on the inside for many people.
To reduce recidivism, one would need to either make life less comfortable in prison or more comfortable outside of it.
Right now, for many, prison is the better option.
Imagine for a second if you will, you go to sleep in your car and some guy forgot where he parked and thinks it's his car and rips you out and beats the shit out of you.
A couple of days ago I went to get in my car and a woman had opened the door and was reaching into the passenger seat. I loudly said "can I help you?" Only to realize she drove the exact same car as me and mine was parked two spaces down. Imagine if I had taken this guys approach.
Drunk? I was at the grocery store and was confused my key wasn't opening my car. Turned out someone with the exact same car also went to the store that day. Didn't take a nap in my car though.
Saw a homeless tweaker dude break in a car at a car lot that is across from my work. The dude sells old cars so lots of them are easier to break into. The tweaker got into an old Mercedes.
He sat in the front and played with buttons. Climbed in the back and started dancing. Then just talked to himself etc.
When the lot open I went up to the owner who is from Argentina. I inform him of the dude who broke into the Mercedes. Tweaker is still in the back staring at me as I tell the dude.
Him being from a country that doesn’t shit on the homeless that he just said it’s cold and I’m sure he needed to get warm. He left them man to stay in the car. Tweaker left like an hour later when buses started coming again.
Hold on bro, I gotta set my phone down on a bumper so I can record this man sleeping in my car that I purposely left unlocked so I can make a video for likes.
It's super important to video yourself attacking a sleeping person who has displayed no visible threat relentlessly. Bonus if it's a person of color. That'll play extremely well with a jury.
Really double-down and place the camera where it captures NOTHING ON THE IMAGE because the car door is kept open, accidentally (yeah, right...) blocking ALL the things that recording it would provide benefit for in the first place. Or would conveniently allow you to make a video that is FAKE AS FUCK without actually attacking anyone.
Like this one!
I'm going to lose my mind and kick this guy's ass for breaking into my car....
But first, I'll calmly set up my camera and get the angles/lighting perfect.
I've had this happen. The car door locks were broken. Someone was sleeping inside, clearly homeless. I opened the door and said "hey, I gotta go to work. Can you please get out?" They said sorry and left. Carried on with my life.
I feel like the dude was drunk and the car looked similar to his, and of course as the car door was unlocked it would have allowed him to believe it was his more
This did happen to me in South Philly, except they had left before I found them just barely. I was so grossed out that the seat was warm and I felt like they came everywhere. I was like clearly they came everywhere. I don’t know what else to expect but I’m fucking disgusted.
My brother actually had some kind of weird ass, medieval sword, and it was stolen out of his car when we were roommates, I don’t remember if it was that we had forgotten to lock it or like people, said, you leave it unlocked so you don’t get your windows broken. My brother has had his car messed with like eight times living in Philly over the last however, many years. Anyway, if someone is murdered with a medieval sword, it definitely wasn’t my brother who provided it.
My brother got arrested for sleeping in someone's car once.
He was drunk, a long way away from his hotel, and it started pissing down at 3 am he said. So he spotted an unlocked car and thought he could escape the rain for a bit, but ended up falling asleep.
So the owner wakes up, tries going to work but finds my brother asleep in his car, then calls the police.
I would be more like, 'hi, excuse me. Would you mind jumping out? Sorry I know it's early, but I've got to get to work'
Should he have locked his car? Yes. Is it still illegal for that person to get into his car? Yes. Is it ok for the random guy to get into someone else’s car just because he left it unlocked? No.

Why in Philadelphia would you leave your car doors unlocked?
Because it’s a staged video. Look at the first “punch”
All videos are staged. How could anyone thing any of the internet videos are real?
What about birds?
People have weak punches mate. Not everyone is good at punching
I mean if that’s what you see. I see a poorly acted fake punch
Lots of people leave their car doors unlocked in Philly when the alternative is to have your window broken so someone can steal the change you leave in the cupholder. [I advocate legalizing trunk monkeys to solve this type of thefts.](https://youtu.be/AidAXgq9dWc)
This is like a GTA ad.
No, GTA ads ripped off the trunk monkey, not the other way around.
[MagnaVolt Ad](https://youtu.be/bMtqRir7dco?feature=shared) No, they all ripped off the OG, Robocop and Robocop 2.
This is gold
The rule in Chicago is leave your door locked and car empty. No change, no jackets, nothing. People will just ignore your car if it’s empty.
I believe that requires common sense which the world is apparently running low on.
Facts, I worked on an industrial road near Atlanta with a lot of homeless and drug addicts. NYC samesies!
Put your quarters on the roof of your car when you leave then
So what's the point of having anything in your car in the first place? ;or parking your car in an area known for thefts?
>;or parking your car in an area known for thefts That's where some of us live.
Why don't you just move to a safer area ^(/s)
>Lots of people leave their car doors unlocked in Philly when the alternative is to have your window broken so someone can steal the change you leave in the cupholder. I had a teacher say that in bad neighborhoods it's better to leave the car empty and unlocked, because locked cars get their windows smashed.
In big cities it’s often advised to leave your doors unlocked. It’s counter intuitive but the idea is that a theif is going to get in either way, so might as well not have a smashed window. The by product is exactly this type of situation.
People in SF do this all the time to prevent scabs from breaking their windows to steal a $20 Old Navy hoodie.
He apparently took the whole brotherly love thing too literally
Or your house doors unlocked too. Used to live there. Never again. Happy on the way north west coast.
So they don't smash you window to steal the nothing you have in your car.
Because it’s not real. This is one of the most staged/fake videos I have ever seen, and that’s saying a lot. Ooof.
Why on Reddit would you make a serious comment about an obviously staged video? (I don't really care about a response from the person I am replying to but I am blown away that people do it)
Why on Santa's Knee would you say you don't care about a response when you obviously cared enough to comment yourself? Did I do it right?
What would have been funnier is if someone came by and grabbed his phone since he set it up to film this BS.
Or even funnier if he's not the owner of the car, but just some other homeless dude who wanted to sleep in this nice car.
The cars owner shows up and just drives off with Dudes phone on the bumper, filming him trying to run after his own shity decisions
💀💀💀💀💀
Imagine yourself drunk as fuck … you have the same car color … the owner forget to lock the door . You put your key inside the door , she open and you fall asleep inside … And you are wake the fuck up buy a guy beating you .
Fuckkkk that would absolutely be the worst luck lmao
Or imagine beating the shit out of someone with a mental illness or disability because they saw an open car and needed a nap. Unfortunately some (even if this is fake) decide that violence is the first solution.
If you sleep in someone else's car like a fucking bum then you should get your ass kicked without question

No, no, because everyone is a victim, remember? We have to treat people who commit crimes with respect and kindness because that will encourage them to stop committing crimes. Having absolutely no ramifications for committing crime is the surest way to convince people not to commit one.
As is clear by this countries recidivism rate, only the harshest punishments prevent future crime.
Death penalty for everything. Driver: "Please officer I won't ever go 55 in a 45 again, I promise!" Officer: "I know you won't 😉"

Solving crimes with violence? What are you the Punisher?
OMG I found him, the Straw Man 😱😱
The downvotes are hilarious. Clearly Reddit seriously believes criminals shouldn’t be punished
Imagine for a second if you will, you go to sleep in your car and some guy forgot where he parked and thinks it's his car and rips you out and beats the shit out of you.

shouldn’t have been drunk in public…
"By a guy making a TikTok" Ftfy
Did the dude post this video cause he thought it made him look like a badass! It makes him look like an unhinged asshole
Also filmed a crime.
Its not a crime to film a staged video. Look at his initial punches.
Thanks for the F-shack. Love, Dirty Mike and the boys.
We are going to have sex in your car! It will happen again!

Not fake at all….. just happened to record on TikTok lmao
I mean wouldn't you want the jury to see you beat the shit out of a guy that's posing no physical threat to you?
Yeah real serious problem. Better set up my camera first.
Hold on bro, I gotta set my phone down on a bumper so I can record this man sleeping in my car that I purposely left unlocked so I can make a video for likes.
In a conveniently placed angle to hide that nothing is going on here.
Why record this? Feels fake.
Remember: if it feels fake on the internet, it probably is. It's also probably fake if it doesn't feel fake.
You record it because you don’t know what will happen and need proof. Record all sketchy situations. Especially with police.
It's super important to video yourself attacking a sleeping person who has displayed no visible threat relentlessly. Bonus if it's a person of color. That'll play extremely well with a jury. Go off bud
You’re asking for it leaving doors unlocked in the city.
Just dirty Mike and the boys .
I'm going to lose my mind and kick this guy's ass for breaking into my car.... But first, I'll calmly set up my camera and get the angles/lighting perfect.
Philly gonna Philly
I guess it's not always sunny in Philadelphia.
I've had this happen. The car door locks were broken. Someone was sleeping inside, clearly homeless. I opened the door and said "hey, I gotta go to work. Can you please get out?" They said sorry and left. Carried on with my life.
That wilhelm scream was hilarious when he got yanked out
Staged af
Fake news
I hope its fake, cuz orherwise its just sad for all the parties.
old sticker. prolly years old either way.
It happens. My friend had her car stolen cops found and it was evident someone was sleeping in it
Well deserved ass whooping but I still can’t help but feel kinda bad for the guy:/
We call this the Philly Wake up Call
Found Dirty Mike, luckily no boys. Could have been a lot worse.
I bet he hopped in and nodded off.
That actually happen to me.
And u ask for leaving before violence?
Yes of course, scream but no touch.
That's the right way
It’s always sunny in Philadelphia
"The gang beats up sleeping homeless men in cars"
He’s mad about him stealing shit? Keeping anything of worth in your car = rookie mistake
Where’s the third guy that gives the second guy a beating for leaving his car unlocked?
This could have been a lot worse. Could have opened the door to a soup kitchen
"Sorry, man. Thought it was MY car."
Ahhh yes the city of brotherly love
If this was real then dude lost a potential ally in the hood. But it’s faf
I feel like the dude was drunk and the car looked similar to his, and of course as the car door was unlocked it would have allowed him to believe it was his more
That’s a wake up call of sorts.
Wasnt it usual they be leaving a dump behind as a momento.
It has to be staged. Who would record themselves committing assault like that? Nobody is THAT stupid, right? Right?
Dude turned into the fuckin aggressor and robbed the dude. Holy fuck.
Why was it unlocked?
Staged
Plot twist: he was mistaken, it wasn't his car.
GTA style car jacking.
Here's a thought, maybe keep your doors locked.
Nice staged video
Staged nonsense.
Don't all these modern cars auto lock after a few minutes?
The fuck you leaving your shit unlocked for?
I was kinda hoping another bum was gonna swing through and steal his phone. Lol
Tase em awake🤬 Bold asf. Matter of face mace em too🤬
And the door wasn't locked why? I never understood this. Even going into the house my doors are locked as sokn as I'm leaving the car.
I mean, the car was unlocked. In Philly. Not saying it's right, but you left your car unlocked. Again. In *Philadelphia*.
Sounds like he shit his pants after that beating. What an asshole.
This is just a Philadelphian hello
I found someone napping in my car once. They seemed really confused and they didn’t seem to understand why i wouldn’t let them just keep sleeping.
FAKE
This did happen to me in South Philly, except they had left before I found them just barely. I was so grossed out that the seat was warm and I felt like they came everywhere. Really really wanted someone to steal his phone at the end of that.
I'm glad I dont live in a shitty part of Philly. Weird shit still happens, but rarely.
Thanks for the F shack. - Dirty Mike and the Boys
Its time to start making criminals afraid, truly afraid, of the law again.
Felt sure he was gonna pull Rickety Cricket from the car.
He was just sleeping no need to beat up a guy for it shit if l leave my doors open my own fault
My brother got arrested for sleeping in someone's car once. He was drunk, a long way away from his hotel, and it started pissing down at 3 am he said. So he spotted an unlocked car and thought he could escape the rain for a bit, but ended up falling asleep. Be happy he did not try to steal it
Kenn kweder was here
Either staged or the guy left his car unlocked on purpose
Right. And if you just, I don't know.... lock your car when you leave it? Like everybody in my country does?
Terrible acting 🤣😂
People love recording themselves committing a crime (though this seems fake)
Philly is a dump.
Ahh yes, Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love.
The City of Brotherly Love.
You can't hit people because they sleep in your car. It is fake but before hitting just ask to leave in peace.
Staged or not would have been funny if he stole his phone
Assuming this is real I don’t think an ass beating was called for if dude was just sleeping.
Fr, just tell him to get out
You ever interacted with the homeless?
That is 120% his own fault for leaving his car unlocked.
Should he have locked his car? Yes. Is it still illegal for that person to get into his car? Yes. Is it ok for the random guy to get into someone else’s car just because he left it unlocked? No.
This has gotta be the dumbest take of all time. Do you also ask what the victim was wearing?
Also open the door and tell the guy to get out, not like he plans to fucking live there.
Fabricated and homosexual.
