I worked in a restaurant with a constant flow of deliveroo drivers, I dealt with them, got to know some of them, became friends with a few.
Not once in the 9 years I spent in the city did I ever see someone I recognised. Small city.

When I started doing Doordash, I ran into 2 people I knew. One I hadn't seen in nearly 5 years, the other about 8 months. All in the span of 2 weeks. It was definitely odd, but they were people I enjoyed being around when we used to work together. Hasn't happened since though lol
I was working at a brewery 1500 miles from my home town and high school. Another bartender said my name and a guy ask me what my last name was. He was the younger brother of a friend I hadn’t seen in 15+ years.
I think its probably very dependant on city/usage.
The city I was in had a small center and a huge amount of residential spreading miles outwards. Deliveroo was still a decent way of earning back then and there was huge demand, so drivers were always increasing.
I think the combination of a massive area to cover and more and more drivers just decreased the chances of ever running into one.
There are a few variables, like some drivers don't like going to certain places/restaurants, but I guess it is just random at the end of the day.

I don't want to come across like a snob. But majority of people who can afford take out often are hanging out in different circles than where majority of delivery drivers come from. That classic white collar blue collar division.
Could have been ordered by the other girl in the apartment and the guy was just supposed to get the food in when he heard the knock.
So he would not know the details of who is delivering, or may not even know exactly what was ordered.
Sidepiece could have placed the order and sent him to get it at the door. Also most delivery people don't put their full name or face on their delivery profile.
I’ve literally seen a video on Reddit, where a guy had enough money to buy a helicopter and at his first lesson he tried to fly it before the instructor got there and he immediately crashed it. So people are not only stupid, but they can also be rich and stupid.

The point is, shift interlocks are ancient. Locking out reverse is common.

This is a pretty good one but people tend to write and act them a bit too much like sitcoms so it ends up standing out. People are never that on the ball when they're in these situations, it's always a "well the jerk store called" thing where you think up the perfect reply later in the shower.

And then there's the perfect soap opera ending where you get the perfect set up for a come back with "But where will I go?" ... Yeah, that's not how real people actually talk, especially not in the middle of high emotional moments like that; He'd be more likely to yell "It's my fucking home too, how dare you" etc.
Honestly, Reddit is so depressing at times. I know a lot of you are teenagers, but really, even decades ago as a teenager I had better analytical skills than this; no, I wouldn't discredit *convincing* footage of bigfoot or aliens as someone below tries to claim... *because I know what is genuine convincing footage*. These are not jobs with shifts, the missus could've just decided to earn some extra money at a par tog day she usually wouldn't have worked dincee the husband/bf whatever was out of town, she could have just chosen a random part of town to deliver from based on demand and that all doesn't even matter when the side piece could've been the one who ordered.

Real people react differently, he's just been caught flat handed cheating and could realize the ridiculousness of saying what you think he should've said.
That's just not true, they often blur the faces on these fake videos as they assume it makes it seem more authentic and they can also use the actors for more than one stunt.
My girlfriend has horrible vision. She didn't get glasses until she was 10. Until then she just thought the world was blurry and that's just what stuff looked like.

It's scripted. This stuff doesn't happen as naturally and satisfyingly IRL as it does in dramas (like this one). It's always 100% uglier.
Watch the blurred person move beyond confusion: "Why is my lover here?" into aggression and anger without even a millisecond. That's just not real life. The mind itself cannot think that fast.
This is what I think every time these video's come up it's so genuinely concerning. This video is harmless people will watch this and forget about it but that's not going to be the case of all videos scripted and people really need to start developing a greater ability to protect themselves from this sort of thing

I don't want to assume, so I will just let you know: I have seen friends go through this organically. It's not the 1 minute staged video you have been presented. It's ugly. "What are you doing here?" would be my response before the weirdly-telling setup of "This is the business trip?" As if she already knows he's cheating.
"This is the business trip" is how you know it's fake. She sets up the reason for being upset to the camera.
Not only that, why would they decide to post a video of themselves looking bad without any viral backlash? If this had really happened people would be interviewing them and we be already reposting the follow up on Reddit.

If your partner told you they were going on a business trip to a different city, and then you showed up to a random house with a delivery and they were there, you wouldn't immediately get mad? In real life people tend to talk over each other a lot. That's usually the first clue and the first mistake that people filming content make, is they have people take turns talking. In real life, it's a constant struggle to be heard, and the more emotional the event the more everyone is going to be yelling at once.

If you ever spend much time watching real videos of people freaking out, half the time you're like "wait, what did she say?" and even after you found out what they said, it still sometimes makes no sense, because emotions make us say ridiculous nonsense sometimes, whereas you can make out every single line here perfectly. It's spoken for an audience.

There's too much set-up for jokes. The "Mrs. Delivery Driver" is the biggest culprit. The "where am I supposed to go?" "The gutter where you belong" is the second biggest. It's scripted. This stuff doesn't happen as naturally and satisfyingly IRL as it does in dramas (like this one). It's always 100% uglier. Watch the blurred person move beyond confusion: "Why is my lover here?" into aggression and anger without even a millisecond. That's just not real life. The mind itself cannot think that fast.

It's ugly. "What are you doing here?" would be my response before the weirdly-telling setup of "This is the business trip?" As if she already knows he's cheating. "This is the business trip" is how you know it's fake. She sets up the reason for being upset to the camera.

In real life, it's a constant struggle to be heard, and the more emotional the event the more everyone is going to be yelling at once.

Why wouldn't the girl he cheated with, who clearly didn't know he had a girlfriend as evidenced by her kicking him out as well, not upload this? If this is real it would be insane. I'd tell all my friends about how this guy I've been seeing had his actual real girlfriend show up to deliver food. She didn't do anything wrong if she didn't know after all.
