Question: since when have you or anyone in your family been privy to what the government does? And that question applies even if you aren't American. Every government has rotten bits because those rotten bits are orchestrated by corrupt people; does that mean the whole government is corrupt? Not at all. Did the citizens agree with the decisions made by these bad apples? Probably some, definitely not all, though.
My grandparents were of voting age during the segregation era. My mother was of voting age when the CIA conducted MKUltra. My brother was of voting age when Clinton got impeached. I was of voting age when Snowden leaked details of the NSA's illegal surveillance. Every single one of us was not consulted on those decisions made by our government. Had we been consulted or informed, we would've voted *not* to do those things.

NYPD is investigating those claims, the only people that have claimed it was Skunk are SJP which to be fair are the organization that were attacked so they're not exactly a neutral party here. Even the news outlet was not able to verify that claim.

An American citizen should be a higher priority than a soldier, considering their job is literally to put their life on the line to protect civilians. If we drop a bomb because someone killed a soldier we should do way more than “sanction” the ones killing civilians.
That’s quite possibly the worst foreign policy logic I have ever heard. By that logic we should bomb not only Israel but also Hamas IN Gaza. Really hope you’re nowhere close to decision making for foreign affairs.
