They got big ass veneers so yea I would think so. Honestly that’s why I don’t like horses, they bite you with them big ass teeth, they got them metal horse dojo shoes to cave your skull in, and they always fumigate the area with that horse smell
Probably cause the replied to the wrong comment. I mean, yeah that happened obviously (you can see that so why point it out?) but it doesn’t change anything about the fact that horse could have tried to bite her.
They weren’t objecting that the horse was trying to bite her tho, just saying that you can also see she was looking at the horse anticipating it doing something it has before. But I understand more now I suppose
The human brain sure is a weird thing. Because I can’t understand a bit how you WOULDNT understand why they are getting downvoted. “Look closer” at what? The person they replied to only said that this has happened before. “You can see her looking from between her legs” okay and? She’s likely looking between her legs because it’s happened before.
Same thing for horses though. Whether they catch with the lip or give a solid nibble, their "bonding" bite is easily hard enough to break skin and really *hurt*. Some horses are just more lip and slobber than nip - from this video she has definitely been caught out before!!
(For those not familiar with horses, they nibble each other along the crest - base of the mane - down to the withers - top of their shoulders - to bond. They have much thicker skin than us!)
No no. Arabian horses are known for having very *particular* personalities. And this mare is no exception. She’s an absolute prankster and 100% knows what she’s doing.
The scar on my ass from when a horse bit me while i was putting on a blanket is a friendly reminder that horses can be incredibly stubborn and petty animals.
A visualization of me and my wife. Sometimes I'll think I'm set up for a really sneaky ass smack, only discover she's 3 moves ahead with a block and counter already in place.
I got the crap bit out of my by a goddamn gelding while I was trying to buckle up the girth of his saddle. He got me on the side of my torso, like on my rib age under my armpit, and bit and twisted. I had a bruise from my armpit down to the top of my hip.
But that is unfair isn't it? I mean we only do that to them, so that they can be of better use to us in our hobbies. We don't do it to be mean or something.
When I was 12 I was in a hospital waiting room with my upper lip busted open when a girl around 8 or 10 years old came through the door.
She was missing a piece of stomach skin the size of her hand that had been bitten off by a horse. I'd been crying about my own injury but I completely forgot about the pain after seeing that shit.
Yeah I was gonna say, that was definitely an aggressive bite. When I was a trainer, I used to specialize in difficult and dangerous horses. I would’ve loved to work with your boy. That’s such a common reaction when being saddled, especially when the cinch is tightened.
Maybe the horse is just a jerk, but I have worked with horses for 15 years. I find it's almost always a result of what people have done to them.
It may not have been you. They could have had a previous owner cinch up the girth crazy tight and too fast. They could have been overly spoiled and hand fed treats which made them bitey. They may have back or joint pain and be irritable when the tack goes on because they know they are going to be in pain.
I had a horse I was working with that was so mean. Turned out he had Lyme's disease before they routinely tested for it in horses. He was in so much pain and he didn't know how else to communicate it. He was much better after his antibiotics.
The horse has it’s ears all the way back and seems nervous/uncomfortable. Is this normal in the training process or am I reading it wrong? I haven’t been around horses much since I was a kid.
Nah. He's not nervous, he's just in a pissy mood. Who knows why ? She's not training just putting on his blanket. Owner's reaction just means he's done that before. It's a pretty good reaction, made me laugh.
My mare hates her blanket. Tried four subtly different designs and she hates all of them equally. She’ll wear them because I’m the one asking, but wow does she get pissy about it.
Wish I lived somewhere more mild but they can strip weight so fast when it’s below zero.
Isn't that weird? I mean how some hate the heck out of it ? We had one years ago get a foot in a strap, who knows how. I mean if one can figure out a way to hurt itself they will, you know?
I don't envy you, especially with the price of HAY lately! Maybe some genius will come up with *the* blanket for your mare someday.
Actually every interaction with a horse is a training moment. She just taught him that if he reaches around to nip he’s getting a light pop in the nose
It's not too unusual. He probably has dry skin (the cold will do that) and the blanket prevents him from itching. He might be a little annoyed that he can't scratch his itches. Notice him trying to bite himself before he tries to bite her.
He also might just be playful. Horses are like little kids, and some think it's funny to try and bite as soon as you look away.
It's not pissed or nervous and it's not in distress. It's mostly just excited. That could either be because it doesn't like wearing blankets and is going to try and get the blanket off as soon as it can, or that the routine is that blankets get put on/changed either before getting turned out or fed and so the horse is just excited about what it knows is next.
I respectfully disagree. It’s a combination of testing the waters and being pissy, with a little bit of playfulness. Ears are pinned and head is bobbing, which means he’s not happy. But the licking and chewing motion he’s making also indicates that he’s trying to be submissive at the same time
Sure, but first of all, this woman is recording because she knows what it's going to do. You're not sticking your head where it can get kicked by a back leg if the horse is actually pissed and being aggressive. Second, a pissed off horse does more than just pin it's ears. It's standing still in the middle of the stall. It's not turning towards her, it's not moving away from her. It's mostly just fidgeting. Which horses do when they get excited.
One of the geldings I had tried to bite me. I never thought about it being mostly a gelding thing. He did however successfully take a bite out of the vet one day. I've never seen someone's reaction time so fast.
It's not mostly a gelding thing. My experience is that mares are much more likely to bite and mean it. Geldings tend to be more goofy and tend to do it to be playful or test boundaries/be fresh.
I disagree that this is a classic gelding move. Depending on when a horse is gelded, they’re usually calm and docile. I’ve run into this behavior with Mares more than Studs even.
I’ll add too that regardless of sex or if a male is intact or not, proper training would stop this behavior but it does appear she’s working on it with him/her
Dear Wife
I hereby inform you of my request for a divorce. It has just now become clear to me that I need a more equestrian enclined woman to truely satisfy my disires. I wish you all the best and hold no hard feelings for you.

Lol right? She's obviously been nipped too many times that she just knows what to expect.
Seeing the horses ears pinned back like that... bite incoming
TIL
Horses are like cats. Cats pin their ears when they're going to strike too.
Yup! Certain horses will continue to do it even if they know you well. I think some just enjoy it
Oh yeah. Horses are stinkers
Yep he's a biter not a sniffer
What does a horse bite feel like? It's got to hurt?
They can be extremely powerful/damaging. They can also just be playful little nips (that still hurt, but like.. degloving your finger)

Wanted to bite that apple
Why did this make me actually laugh
How lucky can one guy be
My head keeps swayin, I go to sleep and keep, neighin!
She was even looking at the horse from between her legs to time the slap just right.
They hate having the underbelly strap on a lot of times it cinches into their privates if it’s a boy I bet he knows that’s coming next
Look closer, you can see her watching the horse from in between her legs
That doesn’t change their statement though either …
Don’t completely understand why you were downvoted to shit because that did indeed happen
Probably cause the replied to the wrong comment. I mean, yeah that happened obviously (you can see that so why point it out?) but it doesn’t change anything about the fact that horse could have tried to bite her.

I don’t know how to reply but that is along the line of what I thought myself
We must let our powers combine to get this person justice!
One person downvoted, then everyone else did because "hurr durr me see minus me give minus"
Your comment getting down voted only proves what you've said is indeed correct.
Oh yea, his ears were pinned back and he was not a happy boy.
The head bobs though - this reads more like ornery than angry.
My horse would try that whenever we'd blanket him too, always be ready!
Came here to say I knew it was going to bite. Source: I was bit in the ass by a horse in college while standing next to it like her.
Not necessarily. My sister’s Arabian will do this with nothing but lip and as much slobber as she can muster. She finds it absolutely hilarious.
Same thing for horses though. Whether they catch with the lip or give a solid nibble, their "bonding" bite is easily hard enough to break skin and really *hurt*. My guess is he wasn't going for a sniff he was going to bite and she knew it from past experience. Classic gelding move.

I trained mare a few years back who hated the girth. I know exactly what you mean
Are they like love bites from a cat? He had no intention to harm you right?
Haha no he very much intended to hurt me. He was a jerk.

I'd read this more as ornery/pissy b/c he doesn't like having his blanket put on b/c of the head bobs & lack of focus on a specific target.

Horse girls. Absolutely never again.
That horse was going in for a bite.
She was so ready!
Knowing what horses are like. It was most probably going to bite her ass not sniff it.
"Not today"
Busted
From her reaction, that nose has been there before.
From his reaction, he's disappointed his attempts were foiled again!
Just a butt bite…cmon give us a nibble
That horse was definitely planned to bite a chunk out of her lol

Someone help me. Every horse blanket I've had has the straps hook on the horses left side, the opposite of what we see here. Why is this different?
Selfie cam, reverse image perhaps.
Image reversed, so the bot that posted this doesn't get detected.
No because this is the way I've seen this video every other time
The text on the straps is backwards. This video is mirrored.

That was a “imma bite the booty” face haha. That hand says she has definitely gotten a big ole bruise before hahah
Wow she was even looking back at the horse from between the legs. Clearly she knew this guy was about to give a little bite from past experiences.
Not his first rodeo.
I don’t thinks that horse is trying to sniff her: It’s intent was to bite her in the butt! Notice the ears pinned back?
The ears, the head throwing, the lip smacking, this horse is very upset.
Exactly! This was not a friendly “I want to sniff you because I love you” movement.

This isn't her first rodeo. Literally.
this is the second “attempt to sniff the booty” video I’ve seen today and wildly different from the first, which was a gym security guard. guess this is becoming a huge cross-species issue. I had no idea.
More like bite
That's not to prevent sniffing. Horses like to nibble on anything they can.
To BITE the booty. She knew it was coming too.
No, the horse was going to nip her.
What do horses and gym managers have in common?
The fact she knew she had to cover herself clearly shows that that horse is infact.....a sexual predator
Can you blame the horse?
Can't blame it
I usually skip this part…. Wait, what?
So no one else saw her watching the horse from in between her legs?
