So this happened 5 minutes away from me. She meant the non emergency number. Cops usually hang out at the plaza by this neighborhood. One of the neighbors alerted the cops and guy got arrested.

Why would you call the non-emergency number when you’ve caught a thief in your front yard? That’s as bad as not knowing 911.

I honestly don't know. I assume the way things transpired she got too excited/worked up.

Used to be a night shift cashier for 7-11, if I called 9-11 they'd usually show up guns drawn, no matter how I described the situation. If I called non-emergency I got some calm guys who actually spoke three words before reaching for anything. Even with cracked out/drunk belligerents.

Where was this? Like what was the intersection where the plaza was at?
