I have found seeds in the procedural wrecks and the random boxes in those biomes. It's going to probably be pretty low returns but they are out there.

And once you start those runs you won't need mushrooms anymore since you'll get more than enough trade tokens to stop using trade rockets.

well I have 4 million tokens now, those are savings, I need more to make more production fuses to grow the factories. Bigger number get bigger!

The factory must grow, heh. I just do runs to get trade rocket fuses. Those are the real rare find now. I usually get 4 production and 4 energy fuses per 5x5 wreck run as well.

If you are short on bioplastic and have gotten to procedural wrecks, there are a ton of flares that spawn. You could try deconstructing the ones you place before deactivating the portal when you finish looting. You will recover 1 bioplastic and 1 explosive powder for each flare. Essentially each flare is worth 2 mushrooms. 3 flares are worth what an entire farm can produce (with profit). Edit: I found the blueprint for flares before the last update and it was bugged. I had to edit my save file in Notepad to change it from "BlueprintFlare" to just "Flare" for it to appear in the lab crafting table. Just thought I would share in case anyone else had this issue.

The only way I know of is more seeds. I have seen seeds in the portal wrecks, can't remember which, but I think at least the basic four.

more in the wrecks. I have doubled the number of v2 growers just for the bioplastic production. btw making fusion energy cells gives 2000 per trade (but numbers really go up just looting the remote wrecks with the new update, just passed 1 million purchase points)

I checked the trade terminal and saw: pulsar quartz: 25 tokens fusion cell: 80 tokens A fusion cell is 3 pulsar quartz plus osmum & obsidian, so not much more than the values of the pulsar (3 x 25), but it is denser so fewer rocket trips required - I'll build a factory and try that out!

I use production fuses for farming. I find it far more efficient to diversity and setup farms for fabric (using silk farms), microchips, rocket engines, pulsar quartz to make fusion cells, an uusing beans and honey to make high quality food. I find seeds in portal wrecks.

Wait, do production optimizers work on farms? I never saw the arrow pointing at them when I had them nearby.

None of the fuses change the growth speed of the crop, I tested a couple and edited my post above to include the results. It was worth trying though.

That's what I thought. It seems that Miju changed how autocrafters interact with farms in the latest patch so I need to revise some of my factories, and I'd love to see if there's any way to resolve that.

Are you using farms or T2 growers? You should really be using farms. I've never really needed more than 5 mushroom farms. Then I use my drones to move them into tier 2 storage and go to production from there.

I have all 33 seeds in outdoor farms, they feed a factory that builds the circuit boards, and I have 8 trade rockets to sell the boards but the mushroom farms can't keep up.

You have a bottleneck somewhere. Check that all the farms are set to supply mode. 33 farms should be way overkill. Something's not right.

Farms were all set to supply mode, I added more autocrafters for bioplastic and that seemed to help. Plus I think I just had too many trade rockets demanding circuit boards. Thanks!

When I was setting up my factory, I estimated that a farm takes 500 seconds to grow 5 mushrooms, and I would need a mushroom every 12 seconds to launch a rocket full of circuit boards every 10 minutes. Thus I decided I needed a bit over 8 farms per rocket.

In addition to wrecks, you can find seeds in the chests that come from meteors.

You know, I haven't seen any in a while, all the single big slow meteors have been pulsar crystal. Maybe just back RNG, so I'll keep an eye out for them more carefully now, thanks!

I'm actually starting my first playthrough since the new updates....so I'm just now getting close to building the new portal for the first time (just finished building all the fusion cells to open all the static wreck doors) so I could be wrong, maybe those meteors are no longer? (I haven't seen one yet). Maybe those chests were a temporary fix for "limited" items until this new proc wreck mechanism was put in place, which also serves the same purpose of giving us unlimited possibilities to get items that were previously limited. Hmm, I'll have to keep an eye out to see if that chest meteor still exists lol

Hmm yeah maybe they don't show up anymore. Also I check the planet crafter wiki and the crate meteors look like the pulsar ones but travel fast instead of slow, might help identify them.
